Greetings!

In 1909, William Reuben George, a visionary and philanthropist, provided the foundation for today’s George Junior Republic and Affiliates by focusing on youth management via self-government, self-control, and responsible behavior principles. The duties and power of citizenship were demonstrated within a self-sustaining community. Our mission continues to support the value of citizenship and understanding an individual’s responsibilities to society, family, and self.

Today, George Junior Republic’s administrative offices and residential facilities are located on 500 acres in Grove City, Pennsylvania. George Junior Republic, the parent company, is the philanthropic arm that oversees grant writing and fundraising for George Junior Republic in Pennsylvania, George Junior Republic in Indiana, and Preventative Aftercare. Six corporations comprise the organization, three of which deliver a broad spectrum of residential and community-based services to youth and adults.

George Junior Republic in Pennsylvania provides multiple options for youth and adults to achieve another chance at success. Residential programs include a full continuum of behavioral health services in a trauma-informed environment with state-of-the-art facilities utilizing evidence-based programming. Through the support of committed staff and daily living in a structured environment, individuals have the opportunity to take their hopes and dreams in a healthy direction while learning from their past experiences.

With the mission of providing intensive clinical services to children, young adults, and families across the state, the organization is dedicated to providing services that keep families together while building on their strengths. The true organizational assets are the supportive mission and the devoted professionals who focus on client needs.

Meeting the needs of the individual by promoting resiliency and teaching recovery principles in the individual’s home community is the foundation of the mission of Preventative Aftercare. Dedicated staff deliver evidencesupported programming and services designed for children, youth, families, and adults who struggle with traditional community-based services.

On behalf of George Junior Republic, its affiliates, and the board of directors, I welcome you to our organization, where we never stop believing.
