this collection takes a look at the film “fight club” and how the characters circum to radical solutions; from self-destruction, dilusion, anti-consumerism violence, and more. i chose to take on design problems and creations through radical solutions like the narrarator / jack does in the film. i chose to thrift 4 basic garments to take apart. the characters rid themselves of all possessions so then they are free to do anything they desire. i took this mindset when stripping apart the garment so then i can create as freely as possible using the garments. i decided to drape the looks with these four basics i thrifted as well as use obscure references from the film that real fans would notice and understand the origin of a graphic or text; as well as be able to connect the themes.
