Biography of George Cacioppo George Cacioppo has been a major force for change in software engineering and technology since 1978. Cacioppo was born in Suffolk County, New York, although he has since relocated to the West Coast. He lives with his family in San Diego, California. Throughout his impressive career, Cacioppo has been a visionary who has pushed for breakthrough ideas, constant progress, and, most importantly, tangible outcomes. He is an industry leader in designing, operating, and introducing novel cloud-based consumer digital commerce, media, and gaming. Cacioppo's professional life started in 1978 in Greenlawn, NY, where he worked as a Software Engineer at Hazeltine Industrial Products Division. As part of his duties, he developed original code for various programs. In April of 1982, George Cacioppo joined Digital Equipment Corporation (USA) as the Engineering Manager after working for the company as a Software Engineer for four years. He used what he had learned in his prior position to oversee the distribution of fonts for X-Windows-based desktop environments. In addition, he has developed many systems and methods for vetting and releasing various video terminals and printing items that incorporate complicated software. George Cacioppo is now the Vice President of Software Development for Postscript at Adobe, thanks to his prior expertise with advanced PostScript laser printers. Cacioppo was integral to PostScript's strategy, product development, and account expansion from April 1992 until February 2004. PostScript, the first deviceindependent Page Description Language (PDL) and programming language was launched in 1984, ushering in the era of desktop publishing. While working for Adobe for over a decade, Cacioppo developed PostScript into a leading RIP platform for business and office printers. In addition, he took charge of engineering for up to forty international original equipment manufacturer customers, generating over $200 million in sales.
