SUPPLEMENT SHEET
It is our great pleasure to present to you the first annual Maternal Merit Female Sale in the yards at the National Western Stock Show. In starting this sale, our goal was to build on the history of the yards and bring commercial focus that the yards and the cattle business has been built on. Progressive producers from Nebraska, Colorado and Oklahoma bring to you 100 head of elite, hand selected AI bred heifers that have been sourced from some of the top seedstock and commercial operations in the country. This is the top cut of over 5000 heifers.

These heifers are backed by programs built on making females that are problem free, fertile and built to last no matter the environment. Whether you are looking for heifers to build a program around or are needing heifers to develop into recipients, we feel these will surpass anyone’s expectations.

These heifers have been selected and bred with a purpose and all buyers will receive the unconditional customer service the MMS brand is known for. All heifers are confirmed AI bred to proven calving ease sires out of the elite ABS lineup.
Be sure to contact any of the representatives or consignors with any questions you might have regarding the heifers. Thank you for taking a look and we hope you all can join us for the start of a great tradition and a big event!
Sincerely - Bobby Strecker

FRANK CATTLE & GENETICS • Dustin Frank 970-539-1911
Frank Cattle and Genetics is an Angus and Red Angus seedstock operation based out of Chappell, NE and Johnstown, CO. They have a female sale in the fall and bull sale in the spring. Their focus is to produce good footed, good uddered, easy fleshing females that are maternally oriented and can thrive in their semi-arid, rugged environment. This is an elite group of commercial heifers that should thrive in any operation.
WARNER BEEF GENETICS • Dan Warner 308-962-6511

Warner Beef Genetics is a registered and commercial Balancer and Gelbvieh ranch in southwest Nebraska. They run over 1100 spring and fall calving cows and sell 150 bulls annually. The cowherd is mostly comprised of multi-generation Balancer females that have a genetic makeup of 1/4 to 1/2 Gelbvieh and the remaining being either Angus or Red Angus. There is a heavy influence of AI and Embryo Transfer in the cowherd, and they are fortunate to own several of the AI sires within the breed as walking sires. They believe in moderate framed, performance cattle that excel in fertility, mothering ability and fleshing ability. The heifers selling represent the front end of over 250 commercial females developed last year and are home raised or purchased from top bull customers.

HERMES LIVESTOCK
• Anton Hermes 970-554-0996
Hermes Livestock is a diversified cow/calf, heifer development/breeding, and feeding operation in eastern Colorado. They specialize in developing F1 black baldy heifers by incorporating Hereford genetics into their Angus cow herd. In addition to their home raised heifers, they procure the top end F1 heifers from several large reputation ranches in neighboring states. These heifers are high quality females sired by top end Hoffman Hereford bulls in Thedford, NE. They are proven to be easy fleshing, moderate framed, excellent milking, and docile. These consignments consist of two lots of five head that were sorted off the top end of 350 females from Miller Brothers’ Ranch in Merna, NE, as well as two lots of five head raised by Hermes Livestock in Eastern Colorado that were the top cut of 200 females.
VALHALLA RANCH • Don Maclennan 303-906-4374
These Red Angus heifers that Valhalla Ranch has offered to you have been sourced from two reputation ranches that carry long traditions in the cattle business: Wells Ag and Thompson Ranch.
Wells Ag is a fifth generation farming and ranching family located in Leoti, Kansas. They strive to raise cattle that not only work in short grass country but are efficient when fed in their own feed yard. Using mostly Wedel Red Angus genetics, they always try and buy the front-end bulls every year. Thank you, Jason and Gwen Wells. These 10 heifers are impressive!
Thompson Ranch, located on the eastern plains of Colorado, is a wheat and cattle operation who runs close to 700 mother cows. A moderate, easy fleshing, good uddered cow herd is the target of this breeder and steer calves still wean off at over 600 lbs. Ludvingson and Smokey Y blood runs deep in this cow herd. They are impressive and would be a great addition to your commercial operation. Thank you, John and Cheryl Thompson for raising this amazing set of 10 females.
