Oklahoma Real Estate Experts: A realty team focused on growing successful agents

A former educator, Ruthie Gallardo-Owens, founder of Oklahoma Real Estate Experts, is using her team as an incubator for real estate agents.

Her team takes on motivated realtors, teaches them the industry and guides them into independence and finally launches them out on their own when they are ready.

Where most traditional teams are largely team-lead oriented, with members supporting the lead, here the idea is grow them as realtors so within a few years they can launch out on their own as successful real estate agents.

This as opposed to traditional teams which leave many hopeful realtors feeling used, abused and burnt out.

As some examples to these differences, on traditional teams, only the team lead is allowed to list properties. On Gallardo-Owens' team, agents are encouraged to list their own properties and are mentored through the process.

On a traditional team, agents receive leads from the leads purchased by the team. At Oklahoma Real Estate Experts, agents learn how to get their own leads and are incentivized with bigger commissions.

On a legacy team, social media presence is centered on the team, never the member agent. Plus any closings for the buyer's agent are recorded in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) under the rainmaker's name only.

Under Gallardo-Owens' model, agents get their own logos, brand colors, can post their own professional content on a comanaged real estate Facebook page and are always named as co-listing agents on all buyer and seller deals, all to help the agents build their own resumes.

She encourages agents to come to her team and learn how to succeed in real estate.
