PEARSON PROGRAMME PROPOSAL

• We are delighted to share our proposal for a programme to support and develop the Pearson apprenticeship programme . Based on our discussions we have mapped out a development journey that will commence with a face-to-face event in October as part of your induction and subsequent quarterly online
Masterclasses
• We are able to measure the impact of the programme in a number of ways including using the PERMA workplace wellbeing profiler tool. This measurement tool would allow you to evaluate the wellbeing and engagement of your apprentices using a recognized and simple tool.
• We have suggested content and development that we feel is most relevant at each stage of the apprentices's development in the first year of their programme as well as development for managers.
• Masterclasses are delivered face to face in 2.5-3 hour sessions or online in 1.5-2 hour sessions.

The diagram outlines the suggested shape, content and timing of a programme to support Pearson apprentices to flourish and perform at their best. We would kick off the programme with a face-to-face session delivering foundational mental health development to equip them with tools for the journey ahead. We would then follow this up with an online physical wellbeing and digital wellbeing sessions to support them to feel and perform at their best on their programme. We would then run two performance workshops which would look at how to harness stress to perform and how to build confidence and motivation on your programme.
For each new cohort joining we would propose running this programme over their first twelve months. We also recommend developing your managers to support apprentices via our two online masterclasses

The survey (which we recommend is completed at the start and end of the programme) shows how your colleagues score against the 6 areas of wellbeing within the PERMAH model namely;
1. Positive emotions – how happy they are
2. Engagement with the organisation
3. Relationships at work
4. Meaning – how meaningful they find their work
5. Accomplishment - how much they feel their work is valued
6. Health – how well they manage their physical health
Your workplace report will allow you to look at what is working well, where you are struggling and what you are learning about caring for wellbeing of your cohort.
This will allow you to assess both the impact of this programme and How well the business is supporting and giving them the tools to Succeed.
