How It Works

Overview of Generation Tux

➔ Choose from over 20+ styles of suits and tuxedos Then mix and match accessories a la carte, including shoes, shirts, ties, and more.

➔ No measurements are needed here. Just simply answer a few basic questions about your height, weight, etc and we take care of the rest

➔ At Generation Tux we get your suit or tuxedo to you 14 days before your big day, delivered directly to your customer’s door.

➔ Your customer will try on their order within 48 hours of receiving their shipment If something is not quite to their preference, they can reach out to our Customer Experience Team for free replacements. Delivery timeframes for replacements can vary based on sizing availability Your customer should have any travel plan information that may be relevant to delivery available before contacting

➔ After the event, your customer will return their order to any UPS store location in the United States within 3 days after the event using the return bag provided.

◆ We ship all swatches through USPS Ground Advantage.. Typical arrival is within 7-14 business days.

◆ Our home try-on helps your client have a rehearsal of the online ordering process

◆ This experience is only available to the wedding couple.

◆ An Home Try-On includes a jacket, pants, vest/cummerbund, shirt, tie, shoes, and free ground shipping both ways. Complimentary tailor services and shipping item replacements are not available during the Home Try-On. Actual styles included in the Home Try-On are dependent on item availability; this can vary during peak season

◆ The ty-on will ship within 7-10 business days of order placement.

◆ The try-on timeframe is 48 hours

◆ Must be ordered a minimum of 60 days before the event.

➔ Free Rental Promotion

◆ For every 5 paid units not including the Groom’s rental, your client’s event will qualify for a free rental

Fit Process

Generation Tux uses a patented algorithm that determines the right fit for each person. All you have to do is answer a few questions about your body profile and we will compare those to millions of data points from previous customers to accurately fit a suit or tuxedo to you. Those questions include age, height, weight, shoe, jean size, etc For customers aged fifteen and under, we will ask for more specific measurements including neck, overarm, chest, arm length, stomach, waist, and outseam. This information will live under the customer’s Fit Profile and can be edited up to thirty days prior to the event

Our suits and tuxedos can be worn by male or female customers However, the online fit algorithm works off male measurements. For female customers looking to wear one of our suits or tuxedos, we ask you to gather additional measurements (neck, overarm, chest, arm length, stomach, waist, and outseam) please contact our Customer Experience Team and they will work closely with you to get the perfect fit

Fit Guarantee

We guarantee your customer will have the right fit for their event Should your customer have any issues with the size of their garment(s), simply contact us within 48 hours of receiving their order and we will ensure that you get all your fit needs taken care of.

Returns Overview

We ask that all returns are made within 3 days following the event to a local UPS store

➔ All items can be combined into the return bag even if your customer received replacement items

➔ Hangers do not need to be included

➔ We do ask that the garment bag is returned

➔ Rentals not returned within the 3-day timeframe will be automatically charged $25/day to the card on file

If you’re unable to return your items within the 3 days following your event, we do offer an extension program..

➔ In lieu of the $25/day late fee, for $10/day or $60 for the entire week, customers can extend your rental by contacting Customer Experience Team We can only extend rentals after the event (not for early delivery).

Generation Tux offers six retail options at $699 for the jacket and pants

➔ Event Owners can put their members in retail or rental looks when setting up the event

◆ Once the retail look is created, a member can check out for their retail jacket and pants, along with any rental items

➔ Generation Tux will call retail customers within 48 hours of placing their order.

◆ Customer service will place an outbound call to retail customers to conduct a fit assessment. This helps ensure the retail garments fit as well as possible

➔ Once the fit assessment is conducted retail orders are shipped.

◆ Customers will receive the retail portion of their order - jacket and pants immediately.

◆ Any rented items will arrive 14 days prior to the event date, on the standard Generation Tux shipping timeline.

➔ Retail items are not available for size or length exchange if the change can be made with alterations.

◆ Alterations on retail garments are not available for reimbursement.

How Do Tuxedos Rental Work?

➔ Can individual items be rented?

◆ Yes! Any single item on our site may be rented individually, except for jackets and pants, which are only available as a set (jacket and pants styles may not be swapped) Individual items will include a $25 shipping charge per order.

➔ How far in advance should a rental be booked?

◆ We always recommend having your event booked 4-6 months before the event date

◆ Orders within a group or single event renters should be booked and paid for a minimum of 30 days prior to the event

◆ Orders paid for within 16-9 days of an event will be subject to a $50 rush fee

◆ Orders paid for within 8 days of an event will be subject to a $100 rush fee.

➔ Where can my customer find the status of their order?

◆ There are two different ways to see the status of an order.

● Event Owner

○ Login to the event

○ Click tab 4, “invite”

○ Scroll to see the status of each member in the party

● Invited Member

○ Login to the account

○ They should be under the “my account” section, click “orders”

○ Here they’ll be able to see the status, expected delivery date, etc.

◆ For Slim Fit suits & tuxedos, the pants are slimmer down the leg, creating a very tapered look The tapering of the pants begins in the hips and backside, which creates a more fitted appearance. The pant

opening around the ankle is also smaller, which allows for a shorter hem to show sock

◆ The Slim Fit jacket fits closer to the body and is cut more narrow through the waist and hips, showing a trimmer waist The first button position is a bit higher, which creates the illusion of a slimmer waistline. The sleeve opening around the wrist is more narrow, which creates a tapered sleeve from the shoulder to the wrist.

◆ Modern fit is similar to what other men's formalwear companies would call ‘classic' fit. Our modern pants still have a slim look but allow for a bit more movement in the fabric The pant opening is also a bit wider, which allows for a break in the pants. For the modern fit jacket, the cut is a bit looser than a Slim Fit to allow more room between the body and the jacket, which allows more room for comfort and movement in the waist and hips

➔ Are the shirt collars adjustable?

◆ Our shirts are designed with a Flex Fit collar neck and will expand up to one (1) inch if needed

➔ What happens if physical measurements are required?

◆ Though the primary means to acquire the customer’s measurements will be determined through the in process algorithm, there may be times where you decide that physical measurements are necessary. The below guide will walk you through how to utilize a tape measure for both genders and children as well.

Payment

➔ Is there a deposit fee?

◆ No, we do not collect a deposit fee All orders need to be paid in full at checkout.

➔ Can an event owner pay for multiple members?

◆ Yes! We recommend contacting our Customer Experience Team to purchase a promo code for your members to use All post fees are charged to the card on file. We recommend having each individual member still check out using their personal form of payment

➔ What credit cards do you accept?

◆ We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover.

➔ When do you charge my customer’s credit card?

◆ Payment (including tax, where required) is taken in full at the time of checkout You may see a transaction pending authorization that is typical of credit card processing. This authorization is temporary and usually clears within one (1) to three (3) business days

➔ Can I purchase my rental?

◆ YES! To purchase your rental, your customer must first have the shipment already. Once they do, they can contact our Customer Experience Team for the pricing and process

➔ Can I rent a jacket without a jacket, or vice versa without pants?

◆ YES! Your client will need to be checked out by our Customer Experience Team.

Shipping

➔ Where do you ship?

◆ We only ship to addresses in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. We do not ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses, and we do not ship internationally

➔ How do you ship?

◆ We use UPS to ensure the highest quality of delivery and return service Packages arrive and are to be returned using UPS. If your customer decides to use a different carrier to return the rental, they will be in charge of taking care of the shipping costs Packages are shipped without a required signature and are typically left at the door at most locations

➔ How can a customer retrieve their return label?

◆ Your customer’s return label will be attached to their return bag In the event the bag is lost or damaged your customer can still use the box to make their return A copy of the label will live inside of your customer’s account. If they are unable to locate it within their account, they can contact our Customer Experience Team

Returns & Cancellations

➔ What if my customer wants to switch the garment selections I've made for my group?

◆ You can change garment selections in your account up to sixteen (16) days prior to the event for any unpaid orders. If the event is less than sixteen (16) days away or if payment has already been taken for an order, please contact our Customer Experience Team and we will be happy to assist you in updating your selections

➔ What if my customer wants to change their rental choices after shipping?

◆ Style change fees will apply Please contact our Customer Experience Team for pricing and availability.

➔ When do I need to return my rental?

◆ Place your rental items in the prepaid return bag and drop it off at your nearest UPS store within three (3) days following your event to avoid late and/or replacement fees.

➔ What does a customer do if their event is canceled?

◆ Orders may be canceled up to 3 weeks (21 days) prior to your event date and receive a full refund of the rental fee If your order has shipped it can still be canceled, there will be a $40 shipping and restocking fee. In order to receive a refund the order must be returned and scanned by UPS prior to the event date. Cancellations we are notified about after the event date are not eligible for a refund

➔ Rush Event Orders

◆ $50 Rush Shipping Fee auto charges for orders placed 16-8 days before the event.

◆ Generation Tux is not able to guarantee fit on orders placed 16 days or less prior to the event

◆ $100 Rush Shipping Fee auto charges for orders placed less than 8 days prior to the event

◆ Orders placed 14 days or less prior to the event are overnighted to arrive the following business day

◆ Return due for drop off within 3 days (including weekends) following the event

➔ Replacement Orders

➔ Replacement requests should be made within 48 hours of event order delivery, otherwise they may be subject to a $50 rush shipping fee

➔ Replacements typically ship UPS ground within 1 business day of the request.

◆ Delivery on UPS ground shipments is typically 2-5 business days

➔ Return due for drop off within 3 days (including weekends) following the event and should be included with the event order return
