Policy and Procedures Report
September 11, 2022
Just a reminder that back on January we decided the October Area meeting will be moved from the second Sunday to October 16th because of WISNAC.
Results of the Inventory indicate the we rated ourselves “poor”
How well is a sense of unity fostered within the area service body?

How positively is a sense of unity shown within local groups?
How well has the area fostered the willingness of the local fellowship to volunteer for service positions?
How well does the area function in maintaining a full complement of trusted servants, with no open commitments?
The “More will be revealed group” is hosting the Serenity Café on October 1st. Our group would like to suggest area take advantage of this event and the fact that is has a history of being well attended. Area could use the time usually reserved for a speaker to talk about Area Service as a way to let addicts attending know about area service, what it does and who is involved.
We have no RCM. The administrative committee is tasked with taking responsibility for any open service positions. Fortunately both the meetings as far as I can tell are virtual. They are September 17-18th and November 19-20th. The administrative committee is tasked with taking responsibility for any open service positions.
The next Policy and Procedure meeting will be in November. The main topic will be a discussion of establishing a Badgerland area budget.

Public Relations Subcommittee Report September 11, 2022
Chairperson report: Mark S.
We will have eight meetings this year to discuss various aspects of Public Relations of NA in the Badgerland Area. We will be meeting on these months: February, April, May, July August, October, & November The PR sub-committee meetings to be held virtually on the Zoom link provided on the Badgerland website on the day BASC meeting occurs at 11:00am. The remaining PR meetings will be held virtually after this meeting. Come join us on October 9th
1. REVISED BUDGET: Because the Area has decided to vote for more funds for PR subcommittee for more bus signs and business cards, here is a revised budget for 2022 to be voted by the GSRs of this Area today. (Ask for a vote now on Topic Board)
2. BUSINESS CARDS: The PR committee has already purchased 4000 new business cards for 2022 at a total of $148.50 which is $1.50 under the proposed budget of $150.00, We have already used 2300 of 4000 cards at the two events that have happened this year, leaving us 1700 cards left for the event in Janesville in October called Rock for Recovery. Mike R. will be sent a check to reimburse him for the cards that were made at VistaPrint in Madison.
3. EVENTS: There were two events that the PR subcommittee attended since last Area, the Overdose Awareness Walk in Beloit on August 31st & The Rally for Recovery in Madison at the Capitol on September 10th, yesterday. At the first Event in Beloit, we set up a table with NA literature and business cards and for 2 hours we talked to public about NA and passed out business cards with 2 QR codes on the back of the cards the Area website and the Region website. Three of us took care of the table, me, Mike R & James M. The turnout was decent. At the second Event in Madison at the Capitol, we were given a table to set our NA literature and business cards. Our strategy was different. Besides have a third QR code added to business cards for receiving NA literature from the World in PDF form for free, a couple struck out into “massive” crowds and talked to the people or went to the other agencies present to talk about NA and give out the business cards we had. A lot of the people were glad about the third code because they were searching for a better to observe NA literature. This day we had 5 of us doing the service work of the PR subcommittee: me, Mike R., Carl R., Josie F. & Amber R. Thank you all for your service!! The next and last Event of the year will be Rock of Recovery at the Rock County Fairgrounds in the Craig Centre on Wednesday October 12th 2022 from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm
REGIONAL NOTES —none at this time
With the meetings starting to open-up please be sure to inform PR of any meeting changes.
The next Public Relations subcommittee meeting will be held on Sunday October 16th2022 at 11:00am on Virtuality. Thanks for letting me be of service, Mark S.

H&I Report
September 11, 2022
Badgerland H&I continues to hold in person meetings at the Dane Co. Jails for both men & women. Currently we hold four meetings weekly. Oak Hill Correctional Institution also holds in person meetings and we are pleased to announce an increase in volunteers for these men’s meetings. Jefferson Co. Jail has just recently begun in person women’s meetings and we are hopeful in finding male volunteers to step up in order for us to begin men’s meetings at this location. Sauk county Jail has given us the go ahead to begin virtual meetings as soon as our volunteers complete their vetting process. The best news we have is that we now have a female Co-chair for the Badgerland Area’s H&I Committee. Welcome aboard Dani Miller and thank you for your service and dedication.
In loving service

On Monday August 22, 7 of us met to discuss our upcoming project “FUN w/FLAGS” We talked about how best to reach those groups that do not come to Area. We feel this is a start to show unity throughout Area. We cut the canvases and bags were put together to distribute at Area and then discussed the best way to get the bags to those groups who do not show up. This is an area group project, and we would like everyone to get involved. The “Fun w/ Flags” will kick off at the next Area in October, which is the 16, so please have your flags ready by then. Let’s get out there and support other meetings.
Next meeting will be Sunday September 25 via zoom at noon.
In Loving service, Jennifer M.
