Our Musical Performers

MAIN STAGE

Low Totem

Our opening act is Low Totem, a rock band based out of Philadelphia that strives to create a performance you won’t forget. Playing original music and a wide variety of covers, Low Totem members include: Lead Vocals - Pat O’Leary, Guitar/Keys/Vocals - Nick McLaughlin, Bass - Alex Papatolis, Drums - Mason Rosenfeld. Low Totem has performed in Ivyland a few times before at certain neighborhood parties, this time they play on our big stage.

Doylestown Heat

In the southern Appalachian mountains, fiddle and banjo players have been reveling in the complimentary textural relationship of the two instruments for hundreds of years. Noggin Hill, an undeniably danceable and fantastically listenable band, are up to their funny hats in these mountain sounds and incorporate musical elements of bluegrass, folk-jazz and the American songbook.

Jazz, swing, ragtime, funk, rock! The Doylestown Heat plays an energetic mix of music that everyone can enjoy. One thing is for sure - you won’t be able to keep your feet still. As the ambassador band of their sponsor, the Doylestown Lions Club, all of the money earned from appearances goes to community service projects. Their reward is the fun they have making music and the appreciation given back from their listeners.

Noggin Hill

The Warminster Symphony Orchestra

The Warminster Symphony “Summer Pops” Orchestra is proud to be part of Ivyland’s 150th Anniversary Celebration. Our concert will trace a popular musical timeline that parallels that of Ivyland Borough. The program will run the gamut of popular music from the 1870’s through the 1970’s. From patriotic marches and Broadway favorites to a little bit of Rock and Roll, their music will get you to tap your feet and bring a smile to your face.

GOUGH AVE. STAGE

Lolly Hopwood

Based in Bucks County, PA, Lolly has been performing music for children since 2000. She started off with musical story times at local bookshops, schools & record shops. In 2011 Lolly & her friend, Yvonne, started ‘Lolly & YoYo’, a group that combines interactive original music with play-based kids fitness. Her performances always have an interactive element. Kids love to move, dance, play, and be heard. And Lolly is here for that.

Ring the Rafters

Ring the Rafters is an a cappella quartet singing in the barbershop style singing songs from genres including doowop, pop, movie/broadway show tunes, folk, gospel, jazz, and classic barbershop. Its members consider their quartet as something between a hobby and an obsession. They are members of the Bucks County Country Gentlemen Chorus (Doylestown PA) and The Oceanaires Chorus (Rahway NJ). Their mission is to bring joy to others and themselves through singing.

Joe & Krista

Joe and Krista Acoustic is not your average acoustic duo. They have set out to bring everyone an experience they call “Acoustic Love,” through the music they play. The meaning behind this is not just playing fun, happy or uplifting songs, but to make people feel comfortable and welcome, so that they may enjoy the music and their surroundings, forget about their worries & leave with a smile.

SPECIAL THANKS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

An event like this celebration takes a lot of work and effort from many people. You might say it takes a Borough. We would like to make these special thanks and acknowledgements to the people, organizations and businesses that have been instrumental in making our 150th Anniversary Celebration a reality.

A sincere thank you to all our event sponsors for your generosity. We’d also like to acknowledge our Borough Council members and Borough Office administration, the Ivyland Police Dept., the Ivyland Fire Company and Fire Police. And the Ivyland Presbyterian Church, Rev. Amy Na and all their members and Ellen Hall and the Ivyland Art Group. Special acknowledgements to our State Senator Frank Farry and State Representative Brian Munroe and their offices.

To all of our volunteers who have stepped up to help us bring all of this together. And thank you to all of you who have bought T-shirts, calendars, tiles, ornaments and other Ivyland items which helped us raise funds. And along those lines, a big thank you to James Cantore and his band Friday Night Phoenix for their fundraising kick-off concert last August.

Of course a huge shout out to all of our Celebration Committee members who have worked tirelessly over the last year and a half to make this happen. Especially to Ivyland Mayor and Ivyland Heritage Association President Tony Judice for his diligence, historical knowledge and for his honorable representation of Ivyland. If we’ve missed anyone, our sincere apologies, but know your efforts are very much appreciated.

And finally, to all the residents of Ivyland who make our beloved borough so unique and special. See you again in 25 years!

The Ivyland Heritage Association

Whether you are a present or former resident of Ivyland, or just an occasional visitor, regardless of the reasons that have brought you here, you can’t help but be aware of the precious uniqueness of this community. It is more than a collection of old houses – we are a community that enjoys a variety of cherished traditions, some are old, some have been recently introduced, but they are all an integral part of life in Ivyland. A group of borough residents, who recognize and appreciate this rich heritage, has been formed to help preserve and enhance all of these aspects of life in our unique town. We want to give something back to the community that has given all of us so much. The Ivyland Heritage Association invites everyone who loves this old town and who cares about its future to join us. This is our only requirement for membership. The Ivyland Heritage Association is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
