NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS September 8, 2013 NORTHERN VIRGINIA MILITARY MISSION OUTREACH MEETING Today, after service at 1:00, the Northern Virginia Military Mission Outreach (NVMMO) will conduct its 4Q and 1Q 2014 planning meeting for support of our returning veterans. The meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 1:00 PM. We will be joined by representatives from the following churches: St. George’s [Lead Church] Messiah UMC Pender UMC

DONATE BLOOD ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2013 St. George's is supporting St. Stephen's United Methodist Church in its blood drive on Monday, September 16, 2013. Blood drive hours are 2:00-7:00 P.M. St. Stephen's is located at 9203 Braddock Road in Burke. Donors must be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old (16 with parents' consent), and not have donated since July 22nd. The ALYX System will be available for those who wish to make a "double red" donation. To schedule an appointment, contact Roger Hartman [rogerhartman47@gmail.com or 703.425.7268]. Roger prefers that donors make appointments, but walk-ins will be accepted.
SUNDAY SCHOOL Now that school has started again (yes summer is over) I would like to announce the Sunday School teachers for the coming year. I truly hope that everyone finds a class they wish to participate in as Sunday School is such an important part of our Christian education (and is a lot of fun).
