As most of you have seen, the Cars and Coffee event held each Saturday in front of Carrabba’s has grown to be quite a gathering. We just started showing up over at Carrabba’s when the parking lot at Panera Bread became too small. No one really runs the Cars and Coffee event so folk just show up….and show up they have. With the growing number of car enthusiast showing up, so has a growing number of spectators. Well, we have hit some growing pains. There has been a problem with spectators sitting in the chairs and rearranging the furniture outside at Carrabba’s. Additionally, folks have been knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell at Carrabba’s wanting something to drink or wanting to use the bathroom. This is a problem for Carrabba’s and now has become a problem for the Property Management Company, Brookside Management. But this is not going where you think it is going. I have been talking to the Management Company and they are not running us off but instead are asking us to relocate a little bit away from Carrabba’s in order to try to eliminate the problem. We now have “permission” to be there but just in a little different location.

In order for us to continue to use the parking lot with permission, it is imperative that we follow the Management Company’s request. They are asking us to move one complete parking row away from Carrabba’s towards Jared’s and not park anywhere around or next to Carrabba’s. Additionally, please do not park in the Jared’s parking lot…park in between. There is being some new signage erected that ask the Cars & Coffee folks not to park next to Carrabba’s.

Representatives from the management company will be out Saturday morning to monitor the situation. PLEASE make sure that you and everyone around you, and that you know, is on their best behavior and that they park in the designated area. The following is a list of suggestions that will help us maintain the opportunity to use the site for our Cars and Coffee; · Park in only the designated parking area * Do not park anywhere around Carrabba’s. if you see someone over there, please ask them to move. * If you need to get something to drink, please go to Starbucks or bring it with you before you arrive ·If you need to go to the bathroom –hold it –no I am just kidding. Go to Starbucks or the Shell Station behind Newk’s · Make sure that you don’t leave any trash around. If anything, let’s leave the parking lot in better shape than when we found it. · Avoid any horse play by kids (and some of you adults) * Enter and exit the parking lot slowly, watching out for all pedestrians. Please do not light your tires up. There is a lot of horsepower and testosterone in the parking lot, please do not let the two get together! ·Most of all, have fun and enjoy all the wonderful cars that Middle Tennessee car enthusiasts have to offer.

There may have to be some adjustments made this Saturday based upon the crowd that shows up. All I ask is that you be considerate and help with the process so that we can all continue to enjoy our “Cars & Coffee”. Also please forward this to your respective club members so that they know what is going on.
