Check the air in the tires Repack wheel bearings Change out Trans filter Change out rear diff lube Tighten al engine bolts Change fuel filters Give your ride a good cleaning & wax Whatever you do, DON’T just sit around. It’s not good for you health.

There is another thing you can do...drive that cool ride! Yes you can and still practice social distancing.

Stay six feet away from the car in front of you or next to you. Take a drive out to the country where the two lane doesn’t have a lot of traffic anyway. You get the idea...no go have some fun. Gas is cheap and the days are getting warmer. Drive with the window down and take in some mother earth.

What ever you do these days, please be safe. This is al going to pass at some point and we will go back to living life in some form of normal. My belief is it will be a new normal but that’s ok...we’ll still have gearhead fun….

Let me start out this week by offering up good wishes and prayers for all of you who are in the highly affected areas of the USA with the COVID19 pandemic. New York and the tri-state area are heavily hit. California and Washington State are hard hit also. Louisiana is fast becoming a HOT SPOT also. To all of you, our prayers for you to be safe and CORONA FREE. Yes every state has active cases, but these area’s are especially hard hit. We’re praying this starts to throttle back soon!!

With many children and families spending time being 'healthy at home,' the National Corvette Museum has debuted a free video series, offering educational and fun content for all ages. Vettecademy offers topics related to Corvette, the Museum and other automotive areas with a new video debuting each weekday on the Museum's Facebook page and YouTube.

"Many museums across the country are offering free virtual content to stay engaged with their audience while attracting from new fans," said Dr. Sean Preston, President and CEO of the National Corvette Museum. "As a nonprofit foundation, our mission is to educate the public. We developed these videos to not only provide educational content, but also be entertaining and engaging."

Thus far, topics for the episodes have included Corvette Generations, the Museum's Sinkhole and ME-chanics: How to Change a Tire. While the series is geared towards schoolaged children, adults are encourage to tune-in, too. Episodes go live Monday through Friday at 10am CT, and past episodes are available on both platforms, as well as embedded on the Museum's website.

For Corvette enthusiasts wanting even more deep dives into the history of America's iconic sports car, the Museum is launching a second video series entitled Fully Vetted. Debuting on Tuesday, March 24 around 4pm CT, the videos will feature Museum Director of Collections / Curator Derek E. Moore and Museum Historical Media Coordinator Bob Bubnis who will 'decode Corvette history.'

"Our Fully Vetted series is designed to provide a digital touch-point to Corvette fans worldwide while also offering educational and entertaining content for those wanting to soak up as much Corvette information as possible," shared Sean. "Derek and Bob will share in-depth stories, the lore behind the brand, and a behind the scenes view of America's Sports Car." Fully Vetted was originally planned to be a fee-based series, but has since been deemed as free content. "We decided to give the content away as a 'thank you' to those who have supported the Museum, but definitely welcome tax-deductible donations to help us continue providing educational content through these challenging times," added Sean.

Currently, Fully Vetted will have new episodes on Tuesdays and Thursdays around 4pm CT. Museum members can log into their account to view the videos, and non-members can sign up for a free account on the Museum's website to view the content.

In consideration of the COVID-19 global pandemic, NHRA officials have announced revisions to the 2020 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule. The series is tentatively planned to resume June 5-7 with the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway. The season will conclude with the crowning of the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series champions November 13-15 at the Auto Club Finals at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona.

The revised schedule will consist of 19 total events, with 17 of those events being contested when the series resumes in June. Six of these events will be condensed to two-day competition schedules for the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series classes due to economic and logistical factors. As a result of the compressed schedule, points will not be reset after the U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway. NHRA has held two make-up dates on the calendar in case there are further delays.

Tentative schedule announcements for the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Series, Mickey Thompson Tires NHRA Top Fuel Harley Series and Samtech.edu NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Series will be announced soon. All NHRAsanctioned drag racing series competition is still suspended until further notice.
