Mentored Ministry (Division of Practical Theology) MM: General Focus of Mentored Ministry Mentored Ministry includes the field education portion of preparation for ministry. The primary objective is to provide a context for integration of theory with practical field experience. By means of the mentoring relationship with the approved pastor (or qualified staff member) and the various experiences provided within the church, students will be able to test their vocational commitments, broaden their empirical and experiential knowledge, develop ministry skills, nurture personal identity, enhance self-directed learning, and engage in spiritual formation.
