FUTURE AUTO WYNNUM SEQ KHANACROSS SERIES

PHOTOS BY ZED PHOTOGRAPHYY

Early June saw the second running of the Future Auto Wynnum South East Queensland khanacross series. The weather gods shone upon us and saw an awesome day with 9 Runs for another sold out field. It was another victory for the Juniors against some top drivers. It was a tight battle for the top spot with 15 seconds separating the top 5. However, Jude Livermore was too quick for the rest taking the outright win also, claiming category B and G. Rounding out the top 3 saw Nick Reid in his Mirage and Kuss claimed third in his subaru wrx.

For this edition, we had the chance to talk with junior driver, Toby Musico to share a bit about himself and his journey in motorsport.

Age: 12

How long have you been involved with Motorsport and what started your journey in Motorsport?

I have participated in motorsport for 6 years, including Karting, off-road racing, Khanacross and Rally.

I enjoyed playing with cars and building Lego when I was little - Dad had a go-kart and I wanted to try it too. Once I got behind the wheel I was hooked and really enjoyed trying to get better and continue learning.

What is your favourite thing about the sport and community of Motorsport?

My favourite thing about Motorsport is that there are so many different vehicles in different disciplines and the opportunity to learn new skills in each one. I also really like the fact that we have our own little language and terminology in the motorsport community.

If you were to describe Motorsport in 5 words, what would they be? Fun, Exciting, Nerve-racking, Challenging, Physical

If you could dream big and pick a seat in any car as a career goal, what would it be? Competing in the WRC would be my ultimate goal - rally has the best drivers on the planet!
