The KCF Rallysport winter stages took part on the 17th of June in the forests of Benarkin. Held by the Brisbane sporting car club this one day rally sprint featured three full stages and a fourth optional night stage being a perfect introduction into full format rally as well a great chance to test before the highly anticipated Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland later this month.

Saturday morning saw 28 teams head out from the service park and an early lead from club members Glenn Brinkman and Steven Richardson in the On the Brink Evo 9 until multiple punctures caused an early retirement for the team Ryan Williams and Brad Jones would quickly take over in a Subaru WRX STI until they too found themselves with a mechanical fault on the final stage pushing the team back to sixth overall But it would be an all Evo podium with Clayton Hoy and Erin Kelly in a Mitsubishi Evo 5 taking first outright, closely followed by Ian Menzies and Robert McGowan in the Bespoke metals Evo 9 and rounded out by John Bustard and Mel Bergmann in the Evo 7 of the late Ronnie Bustard. Fellow GCTMC member, Alan Kuss made his way up to 8th in his Subaru WRX and we also saw Colin O’Brien jump in for a ride alongside Dave Micjan working their way too 11th.
