Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course Duration:
Physiotherapy is an undergraduate medical course which is offered for a duration of 4 ½ years including a 6 month internship period. This course follows the semester system of examination.Distance mode education is not suitable because this is a practical course which requires a one to one contact experience with the patients ailing from different injuries and medical conditions.
Bachelor of Physiotherapy Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate should be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission. In order to pursue (BPT) Bachelor of Physiotherapy, the applicants must have completed the 12th class/ Pre-university level of education (10+2) with an aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized board. (exceptions for different universities) The candidates should have pursued Physics, chemistry and biology in their preuniversity/12th grade. The admission of BPT is mainly based on the CET (common entrance test) scores. However few of the universities have their own entrance exams.
Bachelor of Physiotherapy Admission Process:
Interested and eligible candidates are given admission based on either their CET scores (common entrance test) or the personalized entrance test scores of the university. This is followed by rounds of personal interviews to assess the aptitude of the candidate required for the course.
