Giovanardi Farmaceutici is a company in the APG Group, an Italian multinational founded in Genoa in the 1950s and operating in various countries, with a turnover of more than Euro 250 million, as a European leader in the production and distribution of natural oils and raw materials for the cosmetics industry.

CERTIFIED BIOACTIVE COSMETIC
Giovanardi Farmaceutici’s Bioactive Cosmetic is an innovative formulation based on natural ingredients obtained through enzymatic transformation and biofermentation processes that enhance its activity. Enzymatic transformation processes, known as bioactivation, are initiated by beneficial micro-organisms such as yeasts, bacteria and fungi that metabolise active molecules by biotransforming them. These natural transformations have been replicated in our Biotechnology Research Laboratory, by acting on the molecules of the functional ingredients, making them more bioavailable and giving them greater functionality and effectiveness on the skin.
It is certified because the formulation specification that ensures the Bioactive activity has been verified and checked by RINA, a leading international certification body.
ACTION ON THE SKIN: BIOAVAILABILITY
By means of enzymatic reactions, molecules are transformed and often reduced in size to create compounds that are more easily absorbed and ‘recognisable’ by our skin; the bioavailability of a compound, with respect to the epidermis, therefore consists of making it more similar to it.
For a cosmetic, bioavailability also represents the ability of an element to act as a ‘carrier’ for another active ingredient, helping it to reach deeper areas of the epidermis.
