Happy March! This month is Women’s History Month. Check out our “Forgotten Women in STEM” lecture, “Tempestuous Elements” at Arena Stage and try our new self-defense class with a free demo on March 5.

I have received two requests that I would like to pass along. When you are coming to the Center to go on a trip, please park as far away from the front door as you can manage to walk. Not all our members are able to walk far and when there are no spots, they must go home. Next, members want an event to get to know the staff. We will have a staff meet and greet on Monday, March 4, from 10:45 – 11:30 a.m., right between the two exercise classes so that you don’t have to choose. Come meet, or re-meet, the best team in Gaithersburg!

Save the date! The Active Aging Expo is coming up on Wednesday, April 24. Spread the word and invite your friends to the best event of the year.

Gracias, Charlyn Simpson

4. I further grant permission for a doctor to administer emergency treatment to me in the event that a medical emergency requires such treatment.

5.I consent to the City’s use of photographs taken or videotapes made of program participants.

6. The City reserves the right to rescind the membership of individuals incapable of complying with the Benjamin Gaither Center policies due to medical conditions beyond the individual’s control as observed by the Center staff.
