Mission statement: The DSWG provides a forum for the implementation and provision of digital services designed to enhance healthcare education and delivery to the School of Medicine. The group will have cross-medicine representation and reports to the School Executive.
Terms of reference:
Based on the 5 pillars of digital engagement
• Consider relevant issues relating to the provision of digital services within the SoM as they affect the user community of staff and students, and provide a forum for feedback
• Advise and comment on college digital policies and strategies
• Receive reports on significant developments and events in IT and digital services that may impact medical healthcare and delivery.

Adapting to students along their digital education continuum to foster precision education
• VLEs and BB ultra: blended learning. Raise aware of training events across ITS, HR and Trinity Teaching and Learning (AP).
• AI & Simulation: Integration of AI-driven tools, VR, and AR for anatomy and surgical training. Development of AI tutor-bot
• Online Courses: Support in the development of CPD and specialized digital medical programs for UG and PGT training.
AI & Data-Driven Research
Use of high-performance computing, genomics, AI and data platforms. This will thrive on collaboration.

Primarily showcasing and raising awareness of advances in telemedicine & Remote Care.
