Where I am surrounded by all the things I need and feel comfortable whatever the situation. I can feel comfortable alone or with guests and can do with my space whatever I wish.

Nov 22, 2012 12:31 PM

2

A home has to be your own place, student hall don't count as you know it is just temporary, Somewhere that gives you the opportunity to become attached. A home is not just about the house but also the environment and the people you live with. These factors will affect how you feeling about a certain place.

home is anywhere where you can feel nostalgic - it could be a house a field a strip of road, i have many homes - places which contain my best memories are places I class as 'home'.

Nov 14, 2012 1:27 PM

14

To me, at the moment, home is the house i grew up in. I call my student house home, but I don't really think of it as 'home' - more my home as in my place of dwelling. I have found that every student house i have lived in feels very personal while I live there, but after moving out, immediately loses that. I think because of the transient nature of university life (in a life long context) it is difficult for a student house to have the time to become much more than just a shell. I think it is possible that more than one place can feel like

Page 3, Q10. Finally, in your own words define your interpretation of Home.

46

I feel 'home' is defiantly the place you feel most comfortable in, it is sometimes hard to define exactly why you feel comfortable in it however. Usually it tends to be when the place in which you live is quite similar to the place in which you grew up, i personally think home is quite nostalgic and we feel most at home by going back.

Nov 12, 2012 11:57 AM

47

Home is where you feel most socially accepted, a place which is defined by your own possessions and limited to the amount of memory and security it possess. 'Home' is a place which can only been achieved by social interaction with the building and the society it is located.

Nov 12, 2012 9:34 AM

48

Where you feel comfortable enough to do what you want & when you want... Its connections like family & memories - nostalgic, good & bad - that makes a house a home

Nov 12, 2012 8:58 AM

49

Where the Heart is, where i grew up, where my family are, my accommodation at the moment is a temporary point in my life and shall never fix itself as 'home'

Nov 12, 2012 8:49 AM

50

Ultimately where you family is.

Nov 12, 2012 8:18 AM

Page 3, Q10. Finally, in your own words define your interpretation of Home.

60

When I go home, I want to relax and be comfortable in a place where I feel safe. Home wouldn't be home without the sentimental objects within. Home is sentiment. Home is where I want to be, and where I long to be.

Nov 12, 2012 3:04 AM

61

Home can be many places, it can be in your heart so it is with you all the time, it can be where someone else is, without the idea of even going there, someone close to you is there so they are your home. Home is where you grew up, but it's also where you settle. Home is somewhere you visit a lot, but don't live. Home is where life feels right.

Nov 12, 2012 2:54 AM

62

Home for me is where I do long to be; but there are a few places i think of as home. The house I grew up in, my parents home when I was younger, but now I feel in between homes
