01 DEPLYOABLE STRUCTURE

TULJAPUR, OSMANABAD
Type studio: Deployable Scissor Extensions
The outbreak of covid triggered multiple traditions in Tuljapur, which included the Tuljabhavani temple to be closed down, economic growth suffered, and the majority of people were adversely affected.
Revised practices were adopted when stores on Temple Street began partially reopened as few pilgrims visited the temple despite the fact that it was closed. These store extensions were partly covered with tarps or cloth. The deployable scissor mechanism structure functioning as shop extensions that can be closed and opened at different angles was created as a result of these design principles. This system enables specific options such as opening, closing, and partially exhibiting the stores.
Due to the deployable structure's translucent light-weight fabric covering, this intervention may potentially suggest further extensions acting as canopies on the same roadway. It may also be utilized as a waiting space for visitors after the epidemic, during festivals, or when the temple premises is overcrowded. The stainless-steel structure is anchored at both ends of the store, permitting the timber framework to be moved and accessed with ease.

This intervention can be helpful even after pandemic as temple is overcrowded during navratri festival, diwali etc hence intervention acts as canopy on street which allows shade cause this place has hot and dry climate condition. Also translucent fabric covering allows intresting pattern throughout the day which pilgrims may find interesting.

02 STORYTELLING MUSEUM
TULJAPUR, OSMANABADWHAT IS MUSEUM ?
What can the concept of a museum be in a place where numerous individuals have oral histories relating to their ancestry and culture? Is it possible for an exhibit to be a collection of tales rather than a collection of items divorced from their context ? Could it be a living space museum within a functioning monastery, which possesses a profusion of narratives of its own?
Tuljapur's principal mandir belongs to the Tulja Bhavani temple. People visiting the shrine tended to reside near or within the (Navnath Sampraday) Monastery because there were no motels till recently.A severe drought hit the town during the 9th century. So, to offer some Ganga water, Garibnath, one of Gorakshanath's pupils, practiced austerity and presented water in "Gomukh '' in Tuljabhavani temple.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha kingdom, always visited this temple to seek blessings. The legend has to its credit to say that the Goddess gave him a sword called "Bhavani khadga" by using which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was successful in his expeditions. The power and triumph stories are symbolized by 'kumkum'. The drought was experienced via a landscape design iteration generated by tracking the topography of town.

The design includes courtyard places to experience austerity as well as seating space around the tree's trunk. In addition, during the Navratri festivities, pilgrims walked long distances to the temple on foot from various areas of India, which provided a subtle rationale for the walkway design. The result was made possible by understanding the typology of the monastery.

WATER RESILIENT ARCHITECTURE

For than a century, the beach at Moti Daman has been occupied by a fishermen individuals that has evolved to deal with the frequent floods. The promenade project increased the vicinity's beauty but upsetting the local ecology, The development forced the people to evacuate their homes, resulted in the growth of enormous dunes, and shut off the drainage system. Despite the promenade's advantages, it did create significant disruption and harm, such as a spike in water levels that led to floods during the monsoon season. Due of the chaos this causes in the adjacent communities, individuals are migrating.
How can one think of making new built forms in order to make them resilient towards urban flood and sea level rise?

Intensity of blur diminishes as transition capacity grows, as does the participation of wildlife, birds, and other natural resources, etc. The lightweight concrete and exposed timber framework of the building. Windows below the roof levels are constructed with polycarbonate sheet for light and blur vision, and a few blinders for opening and shutting the window as needed. The roofing is made of G.I. sheets.

The lower level allows water to enter, which swiftly absorbs into the vegetation. Water is retained and can be utilized again from the waterbody on the ground floor. Inspired by the notion of sharing, saving, and using resources ever since there have been historical step wells employed for comparable ethics of water preservation, reusing, and sharing.
Far from perceiving floods as a threat, there is space that allows water to interact with humans as well as other creatures of all kinds. rather than including balconies for every bedroom, a loft above the kitchen offers more social interaction, enables one to peek into the living area, and provides a glimpse to soak up the residence s physicality.

Individuals living in the home may peer below to see activities, interactions, etc. on the lower level as well as see the water of the waterbody from the ground floor owing to a void above the waterbody on the first floor that resembles a small courtyard.
Waterbodies assist people and other creatures to drink water during summertime as well as on ordinary days. The regulating plinths allow cats, dogs, and other critters to snooze or relax inside this area because to the brutally hot summers in Daman.
Women may use this area to perform a few household tasks like chopping vegetables or washing grains while interacting with other women. This encourages greater interactions between neighbors and with animals of all kinds.
As there is harsh sunshine here throughout the summer on the outdoor playgrounds, kids can play nearby.
SYSTEM ONTOLOGY

Intent -The ground is used by children of three different schools. The language of study of the children as well as their age groups vary, hence when they come together to play in the ground there exists a transparent boundary within which the different groups exist. The aim is to create a space that harnesses the colliding energies of the children and positively builds a foundation of comradery and instill the idea of learning being fun and a oasis like space that breaks the monotonity of the area that acts as common space for the people of the area through the experience of a playground . The aim is to do so by creating an open structure that allows children to flow from one part to the other, promoting movement and activity. Smaller cavities would give a space for children and people of the area to read in and occupy a slightly more private space whilst open spaces and circulation paths will provide a place for children to run around. The louvered walls when open, would provide for good cross ventilation and would provide shelter from the elements when closed.

PRAWN CULTURE
KOCHI, KERELAIn an ongoing attempt to adapt to changing environmental circumstances, the site’s constructed form has changed through time. These changes and developments in the built form are particularly noticeable in the villages. The economy of each village and its reliance on its fishing businesses are additional factors that alter the peculiarities of the local built form.

What kind of scenery is it? The terrain is dominated by still water, with gentle tides that come and go in the backwaters, where tiny landforms have been occupied for fish farming and some land has been excavated out of the water to make room for structures.

The constructed form of the site has evolved through time in an effort to adapt to changing environmental circumstances; this change and evolution of the built form are clearly noticeable in the settlements. The economy of each village and its reliance on its fishing businesses are additional factors that alter the peculiarities of the local built form.

Floods have resulted from the reduction of the wetland s capacity to hold water and its conversion to paddy fields and cultivation ponds. Although it has been the norm, the frequent flooding has led to the formation of harsher borders around the landmasses encircled by water, and in more recent years, it has led to the constructed form having much higher plinths as a way of negotiation.

BUILDING LOCALISATION
Observation
School becomes multiple layering entity of gazes through partial materials and porosity which is observed to be altered depending upon the activities. To accommodate various possibilities the school allows different degrees of porosity.
Design detail
Rethinking the idea of school through gradation of gaze and porosity and how can one blur the boundaries between classroom, courtyard and corridor . Can the corridor become an interactive space which merges the inside and outside.

SETTELMENT STUDIES
PANGNA , HIMACHAL PRADESHThe main goal of this module was to comprehend the connection between the actual physicality of space and shape, the environment that creates them, and the life they permit. For the purpose of this study, a building or a group of homes was selected as the location to analyze the aforementioned correlations.

The site's spatial logics, materiality, and building methods were discovered and recorded through the process of measured drawing. In addition to the above measured drawing, the class's earlier and current habits were also recorded through interviews and regular studies. The mechanics of phenomenological dimensions were developed by superimposing the practices with the spatial/formal logics, so revealing the connection between space/ form and context/practice.

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
This course helped to carry out detailed development and refinement of building design through technical resolution of structural systems, material performance and experience, member assembly, threshold-enclosure details and process of construction. Then conceptual ideas of localization went to actualization and generated a construction documentation set along with specifications, bill of quantities, estimations, ability in systems-thinking and the ability in detailing (detailing here is the act of putting together different materials and their assemblies in a manner that is conceptually coherent with the overall idea of the building).
REPAIR AND RETROFIT

Traditional housing solutions prioritize treating dwellings as commodities in order to alleviate a purported housing crisis, which frequently results in subpar housing for the least fortunate. On the other hand, a lot of homes around the nation are constructed piecemeal by several small contractors, but they frequently have subpar construction and poor infrastructure, which lowers the quality of life and dignity of occupants. The housing issue was handled by interacting with a settlement that had subpar living circumstances and creating improvement plans that could be put into practice utilizing the cultural logics that prevailed in the settlement. Vulnerability:
-Improper drainage
-Narrow street
-Lack of light and ventilation
-Increse in rats count
-Broken tile on streets
-Steep staircase
Stratagey :
-Increase in space
-Shaft adjacent to brick jali wall
-Accessable metal staircase
-Toilet in every house
-Window cuts which also -serves as seating space corridoor (house5,6)

-Plinths and ramps in courtyard (house 5 diabled person accesibilty)
-Shops and workspace on ground floor

- Exploring curvilinear shapes and using wooden structures as the core of the architectural concept since they allow the ability of material s flexibility for organic shapes.
- Engaging with the height and density of the wooden elements helps to create visual linkages between the regions and blurs the hierarchical order while encouraging light to flow between the spaces.

- This simple bathroom design tastefully incorporates both modern and natural aspects. The green tadelact wall is an eye-catching focal point. The wooden minimal furniture and soothing color scheme, along with the soothing natural light, will take one away to a place of peace and tranquility.

3D-DELTA PRINTER

To make a delta 3d printer using the parts of the cartesian 3d printer available to us. Writing and constructing a working code for the printer to work. Also, to design a blueprint of the next step of the 3d printer. Along with diagrams.

The approach to form-making or form-finding and material explorations are seen through the idea of tools. How do the tools shape our idea of form and space? How are design processes shaped around the tools which we use, or in the other way? Also, with the tools that exist today, how can tools be rethought, or how can the tools be upgraded with advancement in technology? So, we decided to rethink the present cartesian 3d printer and upgrade it to a delta 3d printer, which makes it much faster, efficient and more versatile. We would also be setting up a base for the next version of the printing tool.
