Much like a painted masterpiece, architecture is an art form that has the ability to delight, inspire, and transform. The first gesture of an architect is to draw a perimeter; in other words, to separate the climate from the space outside. This in itself is a sacred act. Architecture in itself conveys this idea of limiting space. It’s a limit between the finite and the infinite.

BUNGALOW PROJECT LOCATION : BAVDHAN, PUNE. TYPE : PRIVATE HOUSING.

The Project Required for a private bungalow for an upcoming atheist musician. The site is situated in a less traffic area of Bavdhan in the Pune city. It is nearer to the market area and has ample green areas in the surroundings thus making it less noisy.

PROJECT The Bungalow is implanted on a flat terrain in the area of Bavdhan, Pune.

The requested program was divided into two floors and resulted in a residence of approximately 300 m2.

The structure of the house is made of reinforced concrete. The sliding doors used for the closure of the social area have PVC window frames and laminated glass, which allow a great integration with the residence external environment. As elements of sustainability, large glass panels provide natural light to almost all domestic environments. So, daytime artificial lighting is not required.

Simple shapes and straight lines define the formal feature of this building.

The Project Required for an Institutional Building for a Dance and Music academy located near the Pashan Lake, Pune. The site is lush with vegetation and a glareless lake. An existing walking track seperates the site from the lake.

PROJECT The projects ambition is to attract young people in this new space made for them. The project located at Pashan Lake looks attractive thanks to its materials and shapes.

The facades of the building are a mixture of textured Plaster, concrete and Brick Jali work which makes it even more cost effective.

Pathways

The project is designed in such a manner so that the breezing wind can amalgamate with the interior spaces and surroundings without any deviation. The lush vegetation in and around the site makes the project, a visually calm and pleasing space.

PROJECT: In today's information era, the single mode of previous bookstores cannot attract readers any more. The proposed design is trying to mix bookstore with coffee house and attract more readers with its compound management model and diversified experiences.

Accompanied by a cup of fragrant coffee, people communicate with others, books and nature, creating a relaxing and comfortable reading environment with slow rhythm. The Pashan Lake visible directly through all the levels adds up to the user experiances. The spaces have been designed into an environment background where people's experience and feelings are motivated.

PROJECT The past couple of decades have been marked by globalisation across the world resulting in emergence of increased urbanisation trend. Large cities were the first to receive the transcendence in terms of demographic and physical growth which eventually influenced urban centres of lower orders. Moreover, it has caused to blur the otherwise vivid distinction in urban areas and rural hinterlands. The city of Pune remains no exception for the trend. It has been a significant urban centre in western Maharashtra which has experienced shift in demographic and spatial growth in last three decades. IT sector and automobile industry are attracting large number of investments resulting in proliferation of urban sprawl of the city.

Pune being a part of Smart city mission, projects like International Airport at Purandar, Pune Metro, BRTS, and Ring roads have been geared up in order to improvise connectivity and transportation facilities. Ease of connectivity, presence of IT and Educational Hub are key parameters for inviting new developments such as industrial setups, corporate training centres, convention centres in the region.

Axonometric Exploded View An expansive interconnected network of living and communal spaces integrated with the natural environment. Fifteen apartment blocks, each four-stories tall, are stacked in a square arrangement to form three large-scale open and permeable courtyards. The interlocking blocks form a vertical village with cascading sky gardens and public roof terraces.

The design capitalizes on the generous size of the site and further maximizes the presence of nature by introducing extensive roof gardens, landscaped sky terraces and cascading balconies. Above- ground vehicular circulation is minimized, liberating large green areas within the development.

UNIT PLANS The design generates different arrangement of horizontal blocks instead of a skyscraperwith more incorporation of social spaces.

All the types of units are mixed. The floors interlocked creates interesting shadow patterns with respect to sun.

The master bedroom in each units has a balcony which duels with the purpose of ventilation in the room.

Each room is designed in order to receive the maximum sunlight and natural ventilation.

For the facades, expressive materials were selected. Premium glass transcribes the openness. The yellow-beige plaster as a material is alive with respect to refractionof light, gives the building a skin.

The internal walls of the apartments have a white textured plaster finish thus increasing the amount of reflecting light inside the living space.

While maintaining the privacy of individual apartment units through the generous spacing of the building blocks and far-ranging views, the design also features communal spaces for shared activity.

Extensive residential amenities and facilities are interwoven into the lush vegetation and offer opportunities for social interaction, leisure, and recreation.
