Why Crocin 1000mg is Prescribed?

Crocin 1000mg is a branded-name drug which consist of two salt composition Paracetamol/Acetaminophen which is a non-opiate analgesic and antipyretic primarily prescribed for headache pain (muscle ache backache) and fever either alone or combined with other medications. It changes the way the body senses pain and cools the body.

Dosage of Crocin 1000mg Tablet Adults: 0.5-1gm 3-6 times daily max 4gm. Children: 15mg/kg/dose or 60mg/kg/24hr divided every 6 hrs. Maximum 5 doses SOS.

Uses Of Crocin 1000mg Tablet Fever: It is used to provide temporary relief from fever without treating the underlying cause.

Headache: It is used to relieve acute headaches including a migraine.

Muscle Pain: It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain of the muscles.

Menstrual Cramps: t is used to relieve pain and cramping associated with menstrual cycles in women.

Post Immunization Pyrexia: It is used for the treatment of pain and fever that sets in after a vaccine has been taken.

Arthritis: It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain associated with arthritis.

Side-effects of Crocin 1000 Mg Tablet Bronchospasm, blood dyscrasias, centribular necrosis, liver damage, hypoglycemic, coma, hepatic necrosis, liver failure, skin rashes and Gastrointestinal adverse effects.

Drug Interactions of Crocin 1000 Mg Tablet Since crocin is a composition of Paracetamol and Acetaminophen; where Paracetamol is known to interact with other drugs like alcohol, ascorbic acid, azilsartan, nedocromil, busulphan, carbamazepine, chloramphenicol, cimetidine (HCl), diflunisal, interferon alpha, isoniazid, itopride (HCl), metoclopramide (HCl).
