How do we design your system ?

All enquirers are encouraged to view the Gallery on our website and choose a couple of gate designs they like the look of. Reason for purchase and other aspects of gate system design can then be discussed with our Sales team. With this information we will send example estimates of the project as a guide to the financial and technical make-up of their system. Costs for the same design may vary according to the environment and equipment installed. We believe the most honest service is to provide customers with all the information they would inevitably need from the beginning.

Based upon many years of experience our Sales team are here to guide and advise. With gate automation two facts continue to challenge us all. Security and safety are known to contradict each other as can cosmetics and reliability. This is often challenging when a customer’s cosmetic choice conflicts with a technically superior solution that may not look exactly the same but lasts longer.

Upon receipt of a Project Guide and a wish to continue we will arrange for a surveyor to visit site and progress your enquiry further. Following this meeting an update of the project would be issued for instruction.

Project Design includes: • Step One Preparational work includes modifications of existing or the design and drawings of new gates, support structures, power connection and landscaping.

All to the Gate-A-Mation safety by design and safer system assurance.

• Step Two Building and groundworks, ducting for cable routes and system foundations.

• Step Three Gates, Furniture & Support including any railings, infill panels etc.

• Step Four Automation, Controls and Equipment. This part includes the operational cycle of the system incorporating Gate-A-Mation’s safer system design.

• Step Five Communications, audio or video, CCTV requirements.

• Step Six Associated items, lighting, garage doors, surfacing etc.

What does an installation involve?

With so many elements to even the most simple system, we find the key to efficient installations is in appointing a qualified project manager to oversee the entire project.

They will be your constant contact throughout.

Our head office installation co-ordinators will procure all the components required for your system, arrange the labour requirement, and forward plan each project according to timescales.

Upon commissioning and handover of your system, the job file is passed over to our Service Department who will honour your warranty accordingly.

How much does it cost? In principle, there is almost no end to the capability we can build in to an automatic gate system. In reality, it is often the available budget which decides how simple or complex the system, the gate design and the construction will be.

How do we maintain your gates?

Since inception in 1988, Gate-A-Mation has invested considerable time, effort and money in creating, building and stocking a specialist service department second-to-none. We have a team of full time qualified service engineers equipped with the very best tools for their trade and mobile workshops, sourcing from one of the largest stock holdings in the UK. Each system requires its own level of maintenance depending on usage and environmental conditions.

Standard or full service agreements are offered on every installation, giving peace of mind, security and priority of response accordingly. A third level of maintenance agreement is offered with a call out service, system reporting and safety matrix.
