Thanks to Eliana Wood, Somers has a new "Little Free Library" at the Pavilion at Connor’s Place. This library will be available to everyone in the community to either take a book, leave a book, or both. The library will help improve accessibility to literary sources for people of all ages. Thanks to all who supported Eliana and donated to her Go Fund Me to make this project possible.

Hillsdale College hosts annual Fishing Derby

SOMERS — The Rotary Club of Somers hosted its 51st annual Fishing Derby at the Blake Center for Faith and Freedom on May 27. The derby honored the memory of Paul Monstello, a former member of the Somers Rotary Club.

“Hillsdale College was delighted to host the 51st Annual Somers Rotary Fishing Derby at the Blake Center for Faith and Freedom,” said Labin Duke, executive director of the Blake Center “It was a record turnout with about 200 people in attendance. And we look forward to hosting the event again in future years.”
