Guianeya Diaz, or GiGi as friends and co-workers have nicknamed her, has shown a passion for all things journalism from a very young age. A passion that has brought her to be the first Hispanic reporter to work with the United States Trotting Association covering international races like the Breeder’s Crown, Little Brown Jug, and the Hambletonian. GiGi is host and producer of the Kids Concern Show for Radio Disney Miami, works as a reporter covering harness racing for Pompano Park, and hold a monthly column on the newspaper Libertad. During her journalism internship with Telemundo Network GiGi’s ability to learn quickly, adapt to most work environments, and succeed under pressure earned her the opportunity to work closely with professionals such as Jose Diaz-Balart, Maria Celeste Arraras... and awarded her the role of Field Producer for the network’s national news cast Noticiero Telemundo as well as Al Rojo Vivo for numerous pieces and live shots.

Miss Magic City 2016 Qué año tan maravilloso el que he pasado! ¿Por dónde comenzar? ¿Describiendo los triunfos, las alegrías, las amistades adquirida y el aprendizaje? Sí, no cambiaría ni un instante, ni un momento de este período. Miro atrás y me lleno de satisfacción y nostalgia. Entrego la corona de Miss Magic City , pero permanecerá en mí durante el resto de mi vida, porque la distinción que recibí no representa solamente la belleza física; significa también solidaridad, compromiso social, alegría, tolerancia, lucha y determinación. Para mí un recuerdo imborrable me dejó miles de enseñanzas, cientos de valores; me hizo sentir en mis venas el orgullo de ser cubana un orgullo que quise y querré transmitir siempre. Wow, a year ago I competed for my first ever beauty pageant. Baron and Cynthia both pushed and coached me until I was ready and with there help I was crowned Miss Magic City 2016. It’s been an amazing year and I’m blessed to have made the memories I’ve made with my sister queens. I would like to thank my Mom, grandmother, and bestfriend for supporting me through this adventure. I would also like to thank Baron for never giving up on me and always being here for me. Miss Magic City Hostess 2016 Leaving, sometimes is not a matter of choice. One year has passed since I was crowned Miss Magic City, and indeed, it wasn’t just a remarkable experience but also a great responsibility for me, an experience that I will forever treasure in my heart! Even up to this moment the excitement, nervousness , and overwhelming happiness that I have felt during that night is still fresh in my memory! This beautiful experience also gave me the chance and opportunity to meet new people and participate in different events and gatherings.
