CLAY CITY JR./SR. HIGH SCHOOL CLAY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS Clay City, Indiana Garmong Construction served as Construction Manager for upgrades to Clay City Junior/Senior High School. Upgrades included a new student activity center and renovations to multiple classroom areas such as the cafeteria, media center, business area, family and consumer science (FACS) area, the auditorium and the band room.

NORTHVIEW HIGH SCHOOL CLAY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS Brazil, Indiana Garmong served as Construction Manager for this addition/renovation project which included a new student activity center and classroom additions, as well as renovations to the band and vocational classrooms, cafeteria, locker rooms and restrooms and administrative office areas. Changes to Northview Middle School include new lockers throughout, security upgrades, as well as student docking stations.

VINCENNES COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORP. MULTIPLE SCHOOL ADDITIONS AND RENOVATIONS Vincennes, Indiana

Garmong Construction is serving as Construction Manager for this $38.0M addition and renovation project that involves four elementary schools. The project is broken into seven phases that include heavy site and utility work, as well as 190,000 square-feet of interior renovation and 30,000 square-feet of new additions. Each school will receive an upgraded building envelope system including new windows and roofing, new HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical upgrades, as well as new finishes throughout.

TRI-NORTH MIDDLE SCHOOL

MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION Bloomington, Indiana

Garmong Construction is serving as Construction Manager for this approximately 160,000-square-foot new middle school. The new building will be constructed adjacent to the existing school facility and include a state-of-the-art media center, auditorium, two large gymnasiums, classrooms and collaborative spaces. Upon completion of the new middle school, the existing school will be demolished and replaced with new athletic fields and a track.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP EDUCATION EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY CENTER Lawrence, Indiana Garmong Construction served as General Contractor for the renovation and conversion of Craig Middle School to the Lawrence Township Community Engagement Center. The 30,000-square-foot project involved a significant amount of demolition on the interior of the building to allow space for a board room, open classrooms, secure entry ways, community relations area, reception area and several administrative offices. In addition, all new flooring, doors and hardware were installed throughout.

VIGO COUNTY SCHOOL CORP. THREE NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS Terre Haute, Indiana Garmong Construction served as Construction Manager for this $35.0M construction project for the Vigo County School Corporation (VCSC), which consisted of three elementary schools – Fayette Elementary, Benjamin Franklin Elementary, and Sugar Creek Consolidated Elementary, built simultaneously within an 18-month period. Services included preconstruction services, construction management services, collaboration with the Owner in transitioning students to the new schools, demolition of the former and adjacent structures and conversion of the former building sites to playground/ green space upon completion of demolition activities.

VIGO COUNTY SCHOOL CORP. VIGO SCHOOLS AQUATIC CENTER Terre Haute, Indiana Garmong Construction served as Construction Manager for this new 30,000-square-foot facility. It is home to three high school swimming and diving teams, the Terre Haute Torpedoes swim club, as well as swimming and lifeguarding courses. The 50 meter by 25 yard Olympic competition racing pool includes 3 - 1 meter and 1 - 3 meter diving standards. The Aquatic Center also includes a physical therapy pool, team locker rooms, a classroom and spectator seating for over 500 fans.

VIGO COUNTY SCHOOL CORP. MEADOWS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Terre Haute, Indiana Garmong Construction served as Construction Manager for the completion of a 15,000-square-foot addition and interior remodel for Meadows Elementary School. Completed over an eight-month period, the addition included a gym, music room and new entry way. The gym also serves as an auditorium, complete with a stage to allow for theatrical performances, awards ceremonies, etc. During the summer break, and simultaneous to the construction of the addition, interior work on the existing building was completed including remodel of the 550-foot interior corridor, all classrooms and the cafeteria. The main office area was remodeled to include the principal’s office, main reception area, teacher’s lounge and storage room. In addition to a new canopy and entrance-way being installed, the existing gym was converted into a media center and a new sprinkler system was installed throughout the school. The remodels involved new flooring and wall paint/ coverings, as well as doors, ceilings and lighting in some areas.

VIGO COUNTY SCHOOL CORP. BOOKER T. WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL Terre Haute, Indiana Garmong Construction served as General Contractor for this one-story, concrete block building that now serves as the new home for Booker T. Washington High School; an alternative program that serves pregnant, parenting and alternative students. The school has several classrooms for high school students, as well as rooms dedicated to infants and young children. In addition, it has a play area in a courtyard between the two schools. The building’s metal roof allows for lower-maintenance and has a longer life expectancy than an asphalt-shingle roof. A secured hallway connects the new school to an existing high school, which allows Washington students to access the high school for classes.

SOUTHWEST SCHOOL CORP. SULLIVAN MIDDLE SCHOOL Sullivan, Indiana Garmong Construction served as Construction Manager for the 100,000-square-foot Sullivan Middle School. The school includes three classroom wings, each incorporating four standard classrooms, one science classroom, science and project labs, and conference and team planning areas for teachers; a state-of-the-art media center, multi-purpose room with stage, and band and choral rooms. A vocational technology wing includes industrial arts, family and consumer sciences, art room, special needs room, gymnasium and fitness area with locker rooms, cafeteria and courtyard areas for outdoor learning.

CENTRAL NINE CAREER CENTER VOCATIONAL SCHOOL FACILITY RENOVATIONS Greenwood, Indiana Garmong Construction served as General Contractor for a 40,000-square-foot demolition/renovation project at this vocational school facility. Renovations included new classrooms, floors, ceilings and all interior finishes. Central Nine Career Center, a 100,000-square-foot campus, is affiliated with nine area high schools and is comprised of seven buildings for classrooms, laboratories, offices and other instruction resource facilities.

SAFETY PROGRAM

JOBSITE SAFETY Anticipating risk is critical in our industry. This includes personal injury and property damage, both of which can be devastating and interruptive. Through regular safety audits, daily recorded progress reports, and fluid communication between the project team and our clients, our focus on safety remains in the forefront. Our Experience Modification Rating reflects our attention to safety procedures and risk management. We are proud to report consistently low accident figures.

TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS Garmong’s safety personnel are rarely found in the office, as they travel the state regularly visiting jobsites, ensuring construction activities are being performed in compliance, and educating our Superintendents and their craftsmen on changes in regulation or practice. They also ensure our field teams are receiving the necessary (and often required) training that is relevant to their assigned jobsite, and to the industry as a whole. Our Superintendents are also equipped with the latest software and technology, including iPads, allowing for real time communication and daily progress report sharing with clients and with the office. We have been a member of CCS since 2013.
