Welcome to the 23rd Profit Proven Gardiner-Influenced Commercial Replacement Female Sale. The pursuit of genetic elite commercial females cannot be overstated among the group of dedicated owners of the females presented in this sale.
In today’s news and communication environment there are lots of “keyboard cowboys,” but not many actually make a living in the beef business. There are many opinions about particular traits, but science, data, facts and most of all, outcomes rule the day in progressive beef operations. The commercial producers participating in this sale represent some of the most progressive, most disciplined and most committed ranchers in America today. The majority of the consignors are diversified. Whether each consignor retains ownership or not, they understand the value of genetic progress, regardless of who owns their cattle through all phases of production, including the meat case.
Since 2016, when the majority of the sale offering sold with Method Genetics EPDs and indexes, we’ve sold 6,582 females, generating over $12.7 million for our customers. During those years, the cattle markets have experienced significant highs and lows, including the Pandemic and the recovery that followed. The Profit Proven consignors are pragmatic and realize the disciplined breeding they practice in their operations combined with herd health, nutrition and husbandry enable their females to excel in a value added market, regardless of the price of commodity cattle. It’s also important to remember the herd mates will go on to become Prime beef.
This sale features our largest offering to date—more than 1,100 head of Method Genetics tested GAR-Influenced commercial females either AI bred to many industry leading GAR sires or sons of those sires. This year’s offering starts with 61 fall pairs out of GAR sired cows and calves at side, followed by 12 AI bred cows, 149 bull bred cows, 431 AI bred heifers, 223 bull bred heifers, and 239 open heifers. AI sires include GAR Wallace, GAR Apex, GAR Acceleration, GAR Powercat, GAR Homerun and GAR Home Team—all next generation high use sires for all the traits of economic merit. Most industry analyst are predicting herd rebuilding is slowly beginning. This market is historic, but so is the opportunity to leverage the value of elite genetics.
The industry continues to signal producers relative to the increasing demand for efficient production and documented carcass performance. Many of our commercial customers that retain ownership, market their finished cattle through U.S. Premium Beef. We often talk about our “relationship matrix.” While we are referring to great personal and professional friendships, the relationship matrix is the glue that binds our value-added system. A valued partner in that relationship is Certified Angus Beef. John Stika, Certified Angus Beef® brand president recently summed up the relationship matrix succinctly, “Over the course of time, as U.S. Premium Beef’s return back to producers has grown, our demand and our sales and our supply has grown. I don’t think those are independent of each other.” Each of our Profit Proven consignors is a partner in our relationship matrix. They are invested in a system that adds value and ultimately contributes to the demand for high quality beef.
Since 2017, we have charted the closeout performance on all our home-raised steers and heifers as well as our customers that have sold through U.S. Premium Beef. From 2017 to Oct. 2025, we have charted 6,670 heifers that graded 99.25% USDA Choice and higher, 51.72%% Prime, earned $186.94 per head premium above the cash market for a total of $1,246,887 in real dollars returned to the owner of the cattle. Just a reminder—this data is on fed heifers only charted from 2017 to Oct. 2025! This is not an abstract equation. The majority of heifers conceive within a time restricted window and raise a value added steer or heifer calf.
We hope you will plan to join us Monday, November 24, beginning at 12 noon. The cattle will sell on Superior Video. The location of each group is listed in the catalog. The cattle will not be on site sale day. Please contact the owner to arrange to view the cattle. If I can be of any assistance, please free to contact me.
Thanks for your interest,

Mark Gardiner
