An den hervorragenden, gehaltvollen Rotwein Amarone dürften Weinliebhaber beim Namen Valpolicella sofort denken. Er hat das hügelig-bergige Valpolicella-Gebiet weltweit berühmt gemacht und ist auch das Herzstück der von der Azienda Agricola Scriani in Fumane produzierten Weine. Das moderne Weingut wird von der Familie Cottini geführt, die auf eine lange Weinbautradition zurückblicken kann. Geschäftsführer ist der junge Stefano Cottini, der von seiner Frau, seinem Vater Silvano sowie von „Nonno“ Pio unterstützt wird. So verbinden sich hier aktuellstes Wissen und Kenntnis der neusten Technologien mit traditionellen Werten und langjähriger Erfahrung. Das 9 Hektar große Anbaugebiet der Cottinis liegt überwiegend auf zwei malerischen Hügeln, von denen man über die Valpolicella bis nach Verona und auf den Gardasee blicken kann. Die Reben werden in traditioneller Veroneser Pergola-Methode angebaut. Geerntet wird auf dem Weingut Scriani ausschließlich von Hand. Die Weinlese für die verschiedenen Weine findet zu unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten statt. So werden die Trauben für den Amarone – genau wie für den Recioto – erst Ende September gelesen. Anschließend werden sie 100 bis 120 Tage in kleinen Holzfächern gelagert, nach dem Keltern 18 Monate in Barrique- und 8 Monate und großen Eichenfässern gereift und anschließend für weitere 6 Monate in Flaschen gelagert. Neben Amarone und Recioto produziert die Azienda Agricola Scriana auch Valpolicella Classico, Superiore, Ripasso sowie den so genannte Carpanè. Alle Weine können direkt auf dem Weingut probiert und erworben werden.

With the name Valpolicella wine lovers should immediately associate the Amarone, the excellent, full-bodied red wine. It has turned famous worldwide the hilly region of Valpolicella and is the centerpiece of the wines produced by the Azienda Agricola Scriani in Fumane. The modern winery is run by the family Cottini, who can look back on a long winemaking tradition. The young manager Stefano Cottini is assisted by his wife, his father Silvano and by “Nonno “Pio. And this is how traditional values and long-term experience are connected with the knowledge of the latest technologies. The 9-acre large area is mainly situated on two picturesque hills. From here you have a nice view over the Valpolicella as far as Verona and Lake Garda. The vines are grown in traditional Veronese pergola way. At the winery Scriani grapes are gathered exclusively by hand. The harvest for the production of the different wines takes place at different times. Thus, the grapes for the Amarone - exactly as for the Recioto – are harvested at the end of September and stored for 100-120 days in wooden trays. After the pressing, the wine must mature for 18 months in barrique barrels and for further 8 months in large oak barrels. The wine is finally stored for 6 months in bottles. In addition to the Amarone and the Recioto the Azienda Agricola Scriana produces also Valpolicella Classico, Superiore, Ripasso and the so-called Carpanè. All wines can be tasted and purchased directly in the winery.

Gleich in der Nähe des Gardasees, befindet sich der Park Natura Viva, in welchem einer der wichtigesten zoologischen Kollektionen zu finden ist. Heute ist er einer der Hauptzentren für die Beherbergung von zum aussterben bedrohten Tierarten und zur Umweltbildung. Während des Weges, eingeteilt in geografische Gebiete, tauchen Sie in eine Naturoase ein und können so die große Artenvielfalt unseres Planeten beobachten. Ein qualifiziertes Team von Biologen, Tierärzten und Naturalisten, haben sich der außergewöhnlichen Arche Noah, welche schon mehr als 250 verschiedene Tierarten zählt, angenommen. Giraffen, Zebra, Antilopen, Löwen, Tiger, Nashörner und Geparden, aber nicht nur. Ein Tropenhaus und ein Park mit Modellen von breits in der Vergangenheit ausgestorbenen Tieren, welche orginalgetreu reproduziert wurden, wie zum Beispiel rießige Dinosaurier und andere erstaunliche Vorfahren. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, diese zu Fuß zu besichtigen oder in Ihrem Auto, um das Safarigefühl intensiver zu erleben. Der Safaripark: Eine wunderbare Strecke, welche im eigenen Fahrzeug zurückgelegt wird und den Besuchern, die Bewohner der Savanne entdecken lässt. Giraffen, Löwen, Geparden und Hyänen sind einige der Hauptdarsteller dieses Abenteuers, welches Sie durch einen Besuch in unserem Park erleben können. Der Faunistische Park: Eine entspannende Strecke in einem Eichenwald, in welchem sich die Lebensorte von verschiedenen Tieren dieses Kontinents befinden. Dort haben Sie auch die Möglichkeit das tropische Gewächshaus, sowie das Vivarium zu besichtigen. Der Extinktion Park: Die Evolution des Dinosaurier Parkes, existiert bereits seit 1978, stets mit neuen Ideen und spektakulären lebensgroßen Reproduktionen angereichert, welche dem Besucher ermöglichen, in die Evolutionsgechichte einzutauchen. Von der Eroberung des Festlands bis zum Erscheinen der ersten kolosalen Säugetiere, werden die Gäste Milionen von Jahre zurückkatapultiert: Zum Beginn der Geschichte des Lebens auf dieser Erde. Afrikanischer Fußpfad: ein beeindruckender Fußpfad, wobei natürliche Barrieren die Beobachtung von Tier und Natur in völliger Sicherheit ermöglichen. In the near of the Lake Garda, is located the park Natura Viva, in which you will find one of the most important zoological collections. Now it is one of the main centers for the accommodation of extinct and endangerd species and the enviromental education. Along the way, which is divided into geographical areas, you will dive into a natural oasis where you can observe the rich biodiversity of our planet. A qualified team of biologists, veterinarians and naturalists, taking care about the etraordinary Noah´s Ark, which has still more than 250 different species of animals. Giraffe, Zebra, antelops, Lions, Tigers and cheetahs, but not only. A tropical home and a park with models of already in the past extinct animals, which are reproduced like the original, such as dinosaurs and other exciting ancestors. You have the possibility to visit them by foot or in your own car, for bringing you more near the safari feeling. The Safari-park: a wonderful route, which will be made with your own car. The visitor will discover the inhabitants of the savanna. Giraffes, lions, cheetahs and hyenas are some of the main characters of this adventure, which you can explore, in visiting our park. The Faunistic park: a relaxing track in an oak forest, in which is place the home of different animals of this continent. You have also the possibility to vistit the tropical greenhouse and the vivarium. The extincted park: the evolution of the dinosaur park, already exists since 1978, constantly enriched with new ideas and spectacular life-size reproductions, which allow the visitor to dive into the evolution history. Of the conquest of mainland until the apperance of the first colosals mammals. The visitors will be catapultated back milions of years: At the beginning of the history of life on this earth. African footpath: an impressive footpath, where natural barriers will allow the observation of animals and the nature in completly safetyness. Hoch über der Valsorda-Schlucht
Östlich des Etschtals und nördlich von Verona liegt das hügelig-bergige Valplolicella-Gebiet mit seinen 8 Gemeinden. Den Charme dieser Gegend machen liebliche Weinberge, malerische Örtchen und prächtige venezianischen Villen ebenso aus wie saftig grüne Hochebenen, tiefe Schluchten, Höhlen und tosende Wildbäche. Der nördliche Teil des Valpolicella gehört zum Lessinia-Nationalpark, der sich bis zum Trentino erstreckt. Hier findet man Europas größte natürliche Brücke, die eindrucksvollen Wasserfälle von Molina und mit der „Spluga della Preta“ einen der weltweit tiefsten Karstabgründe. Seit dem 1. Mai ist die Gegend um eine weitere Attraktion reicher. Dort wo die liebliche Valpolicella in die Berge der Lessinia übergeht überspannt nun eine abenteuerliche Hängebrücke die malerische ValsordaSchlucht. Die so genannte „ponte tibetano“ zwischen Marano di Valpolicella und Sant’Anna d’Alfaedo ist 52 Meter lang und spannt sich spektakuläre 40 Meter über der Valsorda-Schlucht. Sie ist Teil mehrerer beschilderter Rundwege, die mit unterschiedlichen Länge und Schwierigkeitsgraden durch die herrliche Hügel- und Bergwelt des Valpolicella führen.

East of the Adige Valley and north of Verona lies the hilly-mountainous region of Valplolicella with its 8 municipalities. The charm of this area is constituted by lovely vineyards, picturesque villages and magnificent Venetian villas, as well as lush green plateaus, deep gorges, caves and roaring torrents. The northern part of the Valpolicella is part of the Lessinia National Park, which extends to the Trentino. Here you will find Europe’s largest natural bridge, the impressive waterfalls of Molina and the „Spluga della Preta”, one of the world’s deepest karst abysses. Since 1 May the area has a further attraction. Where the lovely Valpolicella reaches the Lessinia mountains an adventurous suspension bridge now spans the picturesque Valsorda gorge. The so-called „ponte tibetano” between Marano di Valpolicella and Sant’Anna d’Alfaedo is 52 metres long, crossing the 40 metres deep canyon. It is part of several signposted trails with different lengths and degrees of difficulty, leading through the beautiful hills and mountains of the Valpolicella.

„Lernen ganz ohne Stress? Ja, das geht!“. „Anfangs konnte ich es mir nicht so recht vorstellen, ohne Buch, Block und Stift und auch nicht am Tisch sitzend zu lernen. Doch ich wurde positiv überrascht: Schon am frühen Morgen mit dem Fahrrad am See entlang zur Villa Gelmi - die erste Entspannung! Dort angekommen, ging es weiter: Sono calma, tranquilla, rilassata... (die allmorgendliche Entspannungsübungen) - Ein schöner Start in den Tag! Die wunderbare Atmosphäre in der Gruppe kombiniert mit dem Einfühlungsvermögen, der Spontanität und viel Phantasie von Aurora Floridia brachte uns großen Spaß die Sprache lebendig werden zu lassen und auch wirklich viel zu sprechen, denn anfängliche Hemmungen bei dem einen oder anderen Kursteilnehmer waren schon sehr rasch verflogen. Auch durch Verse,
Begegnung mit der Sprache Reime oder Rollenspiele oder einfach nur durch das Zuhören klang die Sprache wie Musik in den Ohren...!“ In Malcesine, in der wunderschönen Villa Gelmi, mit traumhaftem Blick über den Gardasee, und seit Sept. 2011 auch in Toscolano Maderno, gleiten Sie spielerisch mitten hinein in die Fremdsprache. Statt stur Vokabeln und Grammatik zu pauken, eignet man sich durch die PDL-Techniken unmerklich Rhythmus und Melodie der Sprache an und beginnt sofort zu sprechen. Neben Italienisch gibt es Kurse im Einzel- oder Gruppenunterricht auch für Englisch, Deutsch, Spanisch und Französisch. Und Firmen können ihre Mitarbeiter mit nachhaltigem Erfolg nicht nur sprachlich, sondern in allen Bereichen kommunikativer Kompetenz schulen lassen.

„Learning without any stress? Yes, it is possible!”. „At first I could not really imagine it, no book, no pen, not even a desk where you sit and learn. But I was pleasantly surprised: in the early morning we went by bike along the lake to Villa Gelmi - the first relaxation! Once there it continued : Sono calma, tranquilla, rilassata… (the daily morning relaxation exercises) A nice start into the day! The wonderful atmosphere in the group combined with Aurora Floridia’s empathy, spontaneity and a lot of imagination brought us great fun and made it possible that the language came alive: we really spoke a lot also because the initial inhibitions in some students disappeared very quickly. Also verses, rhymes or role playing or just listening to the language

sounded like music to your ears!”. In Malcesine, in the magnificent villa Gelmi with a stunning view over the lake, and since Sept. 2011 also in Toscolano Maderno, you slide into the foreign language by playing. Instead of swotting up on vocabulary and grammar, through the PDL techniques you acquire easily the rhythm and the melody of the language beginning to speak it immediately. In addition to Italian, there are also courses in English, German, Spanish and French. Participation is open to all ages, whether individually or in groups. Also companies can train their employees not only in the language skills but also in all areas of communication with long-term success.

The province of Brescia shows a many-sided scenery full of contrasts which extends from the western part of the lake to the mountains of the Valle Camonica. Places such as Sirmione, Gardone Riviera or Limone sul Garda attract a lot of visitors to reach the shore of the Brescia side of Lake Garda. About 30 kilometers more westerly lies Lake Iseo offering considerably more quietness but also magnificent nature, picturesque towns and delicious fish dishes. On the borders of Lake Iseo there is the Franciacorta, a traditional wine-growing region, which far beyond Italy is famous for its bottle fermented sparking wines. Here there are historic villages, magnificent wineries as well as plenty places of untouched natural landscapes. The high mountains of the Valcamonica, extending north of Lake Iseo, have famous ski resorts such as Ponte di Legno, Corteno-Aprica, Borno and Montecampione. In addition, due to a number of well-preserved prehistoric petroglyphs, the UNESCO has declared 1979 the Valcamonica a World Heritage Site. The Adamello and Stelvio National Park and the alpine Ledrosee lie also in the province of Brescia, and with Sirmione, Boario, Angolo, Vallio and Ome Brescia has no less than five famous thermal baths.From a culinary point of view Brescia is characterized by fish dishes at the three lakes, by venison specialities in the the mountains as well as a by a variety of delicious cheeses. A typical dish of the Brescia area are the „casonsèi“, a homemade pasta speciality stuffed with meat, bread, cheese and chard.

Vielseitig und voller Kontraste zeigt sich die weitläufige Provinz Brescia, die sich vom westlichen Gardasee bis in die Berge des Valcamonica erstreckt. Der rund 30 Kilometer weiter westlich gelegene Iseosee bietet deutlich mehr Ruhe aber ebenso herrliche Natur und malerische Örtchen und ist für seine leckere Fisch-Küche bekannt. An den Iseosee grenzt die Franciacorta, eine traditionelle Weinbauregion, die weit über Italien hinaus für ihren Wein mit Flaschengärung berühmt ist. Hier gibt es historische Dörfchen, prachtvolle Weingüter sowie jede Menge unberührte Natur zu entdecken. Die hohen Berge des Valcamonica, die sich nördlich des Iseosees erstrecken, beheimaten berühmte Skigebiete wie Ponte di Legno, Corteno-Aprica, Borno und Montecampione. Außerdem wurde das Valcamonica aufgrund zahlreicher gut erhaltener prähistorischer Felszeichnungen 1979 zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO erklärt. Auch die Nationalparks Adamello und Stelvio sowie der alpine Ledrosee liegen in der Provinz Brescia, und mit Sirmione, Boario, Angolo, Vallio und Ome hat sie gleich fünf berühmte Thermalorte. Kulinarisch zeichnet sich Brescia durch Fisch aus den drei Seen, Wild aus den Bergen sowie einer Vielzahl leckerer Käsesorten aus. Typisch brescianisch sind die sogenannten „casonsèi“, eine hausgemachte mit Fleisch, Brot, Käse und Mangold gefüllte Pastaspezialität.

Gardaöl zaubert Köstlichkeiten in der Küche
Der Gebrauch von Olivenöl in der Küche wird immer mehr geschätzt, da das extra native Olivenöl sich von anderen Ölen und natuerlichen Fetten wegen seiner natürlichen Reichhaltigkeit an Mikrokomponenten und das Vorhandensein von verschiedenen Phenolverbindungen, unterscheidet. Letztere spielen eine schützende Rolle bei der Oxidation, während der verschiedenen Garverfahren. Hauptnahrungsmittel der mediterranen Diät, welche bereits das extra native Olivenöl als ein wesentliches Element in der Behandlung und Vorbeugung von verschiedenen Krankeiten, verwendet. Es ist also richtig, von Nahrungsmitteln als vorbeugende Behandlung zu sprechen. Das extra native Olivenöl: tut der Gesundheit gut, und ist ein erklärter Feind von gefährlichen freien Radikalen, hält jung, schützt Herz un Gehirn und hält Tumore fern. Extra natives Olivenöl ist dickflüssiger als Samenöle, aber nicht fetthaltiger, es ist reich an essentiellen Fettsäuren, welche unser Körper nicht selber herstellen kann. Aufgrund seiner Eigenqualität ist es das beste im Gebrauch zum fritieren, da die kritische Temperatur, bei welcher es sich zu zersetzen beginnt (Rauchpunkt) höher ist, als die optimale Temperatur für eine gute und gesunde Frittur. Es ist auch ein optimales Nahrungsmittel für kalorienarme Diäten. In Anlehnung an ein altes Sprichwort ´´die Gesundheit wird gegessen´´. Unser Gebiet ist reich an typischen Produkten und ein Beispiel an exelenter Önogastronomie. Der Gardasee bietet Fische, wie den Hecht, Renke und die Sardine; die Hügellandschaft bietet Weine und außergewöhnliche Öle an, das Hinterland Käse und Wurst, welche immer sehr beliebt sind. Das Manestrini Unternehmen produziert seit mehr als 50 Jahren das Gardaöl Dop ein extra natives monovariables Olivenöl ´´Casaliva´´. Die Oliven werden kalt gepresst und mit Maschinen aus rostfreiem Stahl in einem ständigen Kreislauf, verarbeitet. Die umsichtige sowie geduldige Pflege und Verarbeitung, bewahren und ermöglichen es alle Ernährungs- und organoleptischen Eigenschaften des Öls zu halten. Mediterran und alpin zugleich zeigt sich das Trentino, das sich vom nördlichen Gardasee bis in die Dolomiten erstreckt. Mit viel Fantasie lässt sich in seiner geografischen Gestalt ein Schmetterling erkennen. Den Körper stellt das Etschtal dar, die Berge und Täler beidseits der Etsch sind die Flügel. Unmittelbar am Gardasee gehören nur die Orte Torbole und Riva del Garda zum Trentino. Etwas weiter nördlich liegt das Städtchen Arco auf verlandetem Boden des Gardasees, das durch die Seenähe, seinen bezaubernden Fin-de-siècle-Charme sowie sein modernes Kletterstadion und die Vielzahl natürlicher Kletterwände ein äußerst beliebter Ferienort ist. Im burgenreichen Val di Non, das sich im Frühjahr in eine weiß-rosa Apfelblütenmeer verwandelt, findet man unberührte Natur, Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit. Das Etschtal diente seit jeher als Durchgangskorridor, verdient es aber durchaus, auch mal in Ruhe betrachtet zu werden. Im östlichen Trentino sind das Val di Fiemme und das Val di Fassa sommers wie winters attraktive Urlaubsgegenden. So gegensätzlich sich die Landschaften des Trentino präsentieren, so abwechslungsreich lesen sich die Speisekarten. Auch in der Küche verschmelzen hier alpine und mediterrane Köstlichkeiten. Der Gardasee ist der größte See Italiens, der größte der Oberitalienischen Seen. Der Gardasee wurde durch den Etschgletscher in der vergangenen Eiszeit geformt, dessen Spuren man noch heute verfolgen kann. Zwischen den Alpen und der Poebene liegt der Gardasee im Norden in der Region Trentino-Südtirol, im Westen in der Lombardei, im Osten in Venetien. Damit teilen sich die drei Provinzen Trento (Norden), Verona (Osten) und Brescia (Westen) die Verwaltung. Während das nördliche Ufer des Sees von Zweitausendern der Gardaseeberge wie z. B. dem Monte Baldo umsäumt ist, liegt das südliche Ufer bereits in der Ebene. Das Klima ist aufgrund der Lage sub-mediterran mit heißen Sommern und niederschlagsarmen, milden Wintern. Die Jahresdurchschnittstemperatur liegt zwischen 13 und 15° C. Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy. Glaciers formed this alpine region at the end of the last ice age. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the provinces of Verona (southeast), Brescia (southwest), and Trento (north). Being easily accessible from the north via the Brenner Pass, the lake is a major tourist destination, including a number of exclusive hotels and resorts along its shore. The northern part of the lake is narrower, surrounded by mountains, the majority of which belong to the Mount Baldo chain. The shape is typical of a moraine valley, probably having been formed under the action of a Palaeolithic glacier. The climate is sub-Mediterranean with hot summers and low rainfall, mild winters. The annual average temperature is 13-15° C.
