Це єдине місто, де у мапуванні брала участь керівниця департаменту культури, що свідчить про зацікавленість усіх гравців поля у взаємодії. Водночас, місто ще не має достатньої кількості незалежних культурних і креативних просторів, в яких могли б об’єднуватися та розвиватися молоді люди. Учасники обговорень бачать своєю метою формування добробуту міста; йому потрібна потужна інфраструктура, допомога та реалізація інноваційних проектів, команда однодумців, базові ресурси. За умови задоволення таких потреб, Бахмут отримав би духовний розвиток, тут були б створені простори, арт-центри, зрештою фантазія містян створила образ «золотого віку» Бахмута.

У місті працює багато інституцій, зокрема є кілька активних будинків культури. БК «Бахмутський міський народний дім» передано місту у 1995 році. Спільно з управлінням культури тут проводять багато міських подій, навіть такі свята як День фізкультури та спорту. «Бахмутський міський народний дім» – центр для творчості всього міста. БК віддалений від центру міста, і має вигляд палацу, оточеного трояндами. У БК знаходиться Музей писанкарства, створений свого часу народним майстром Дмитром Денисенком, тут працюють творчі колективи, хор ветеранів заводу кольорових металів, вокально-інструментальні гурти «Час Ы» (30+), «Мішуткас Бенд» (40+), був ще гурт чотирьох братів «Brothers», які поїхали до Києва. Заклад обслуговує аудиторію віком від 4 років і до пенсійного віку включно, однак люди середнього віку майже не беруть участі в заходах та культурних подіях. Протягом року народний дім у середньому проводить заходів на загальну аудиторію 50 тисяч людей, включаючи вуличні події. Один 176 з таких заходів – «Бахмутський дивоцвіт»
It was the only town where the head of the culture department participated in mapping, which demonstrated interest of all players in cooperation at the horizontal level. At the same time, the town still lacks independent culture and creative spaces in which young people would be able to get together and develop themselves. The discussion participants saw their goal as development of the town’s welfare; it needs a well developed infrastructure, assistance, and implementation of innovative projects, a team of like-minded people, and basic resources. If those needs were satisfied, Bakhmut would get a spiritual development, spaces and art centers would be created, and ultimately, the residents’ fantasy would create an image of the “Golden Age” for Bakhmut. There are many institutions in the town. There are few active Culture Houses (CH). CH “Bakhmut Municipal People’s House” was handed to the town in 1995. They run many events together with the Culture Directorate, even such events as “A day of physical culture and sports”. Bakhmut Municipal People’s House is a hub for creative activities of the whole town. The CH is located far from the town center and looks like a palace surrounded by roses. Inside the CH there is a Museum of Pysanka (“Museum of Painted Eggs”) that was set up by the amateur artist Dmytro Denysenko, and there are various culture classes and companies – a choir of the nonferrous metals factory’s resigned workers, and the bands “Chas Yy” (30+) and “Mishutka’s Band”. There was also a four brothers’ band – “Brothers” – but they left for Kyiv.
