Greeting Sorors, Affiliates & Stakeholders of the Sophisticated Southeastern Region: It is with great anticipation and excitement that I welcome you to the 80th Southeastern Regional Conference. It is an honor to be hosting the very first Southeastern Region Virtual Conference as we continue to adapt to handling the business of our great organization during the Corona Virus pandemic.

I am prayerful for each and every family and household represented at our regional conference. Thank you for your dedication and commitment, not only, to Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. but to the community at-large. It is in partnership with you and through your good works that the legacy of our 7 founders remains alive and well almost a century after our founding. The legacy of “Greater Service, Greater Progress” thrives in the Sophisticated Southeastern Region, where we have remained committed to “Elevating Sigma” throughout our communities to enhance the lives of women, children and families.

I want to thank our partners, sponsors and supporters for supporting the mission and vision of Sigma Gamma Rho to ensure continual positive impact in communities throughout the Southeastern Region. It truly takes a village to have the impact needed to support our communities and move them forward so that they may thrive and prosper. Fifty years from now it will not matter‌ how many offices she held, how many meetings she travelled to attend, how often she wore the colors, how cute the vanity plate on her car was, or how good she could step.

What will be important is that she worked consistently to develop undergraduates who, in their turn, can lead the organization to the next level with competence and confidence no matter what is being faced.
