Creative District is one of the keys to the development of Creative City. It aims to attracts the gathering of people by creating an environment and an atmosphere that encourages the expression of ideas, which has “people” “asset” and “space” as an essential element of the development that set each city apart.

The project emphasizes the appetence of creative people, in order to create opportunities and working spaces for creativity. On the top of that, the district with high desity of creative class is the area ougth to develop wherewith using the urban asset, rail mass transit system, as a location of the developing project.

EXPLORATIVE ARCHITECTURE IN REFORMATION OF CREATIVE PLATFORM

LOCATION : Saphan Taksin BTS Station, Sathorn, Bangkok AREA : 28,800 sq.m.

Since the Identity of Saphan Taksin BTS Station is uniquely fit in with the quality of the explorative space, in particular, the various layers of platform and the potential of being a center distributer. It allows the area to make the creative space for city people.

In order to make a creative space, two types of space are required. For the apporach of the creative space is Explorative space that aims to see and move around. After entering the Explorative space, will be entering the activity space, Challenging space.

The site has great accessibility with 3 main access, including a main road, a skytrain station, and a pier. there is also sub access to enter the site such as a public park, a pedestrian bridge and alleys, as well as the transportation hub that stood along the street; songthaew, tuktuk, and motorbike.

Due to the various access of the site, The explorative space will be placed at all the entrances of the site, then spead the challenging space within the project area by insert smaller explorative space in between.

Focusing on visuality which creates more opportunity of engaging and interaction, times and circulation are related. With more circulation, people spend more time in the area, which provides more view and visualization of space. So come a architectural tool, Explorative Architecture which has the key idea of expanding circulation in both horizontal and vertical axle. Creating dual layer of space as a skywalk with loop circulation along the site that connected each layer together with circulation and insert oblique walk way into the park. This emphazies an endless circulation within the project area.

GREEN ROOM PATTAYA HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CARE CENTER

LOCATION : Si Racha, Chonburi AREA : 25,600 sq.m.

Green Room Pattaya Hospital and Health care center emphasize nature and friendliness. Since, the site is located at the beachfront, providing views and natural ventilation. The building form is designed to create courtyard for natural ventilation. Along the courtyards are circulated corridors, as a transition space before going into the medical departments. While, each department formed itself into a modular of green space, circulation, and its interior.

The building form is created through the connection of modulars. It provides a minor green space within each department and every circulation can enjoy the view of the courtyard, also provide more natural scene for ptient rooms and long stay units.

RATTANAKOSIN PERFORMING ART AND CONVENTION CENTER ( RPACC )

LOCATION : Lan Luang crossroad, Dusit, Bangkok

AREA : 28,800 sq.m.

Rattanakosin Performing Art and Convention Center is part of the Phadung Krung Kasem Canal Development Project. This Project aim at being the center of arts and culture in the old town area in Bangkok. Focus on connection between public space and surrounding transportation. Moreover, The RPACC is supporting cultural activities, performances, exhibitions and conventions both inside and outside the building, and both at the day times and night times. This cultural center emphasize on multipurpose space that’s adaptable to form itself into recreational space located in the midtown.

There are various transportations surround the site. It connects the site to the nearby neighborhood and suburban area, providing an ability to be the transition area between neighborhoods and districts. We decided to bring this ability into the site without letting anything silde. Hence, the ground level is the most important level that will create the connection and interaction of the area.

We create a path on the ground floor connected the area at the back of the site to the main road which have public transportations. The path is cutting through the site and distribute into each function.

The connected path also connect with the sunken space, next to the amphitheater. It creates the circulation flow from parking lots in the basement floor to the path on the ground floor. The sunken space acts as a recreational space for people who come through the site and people who come to the center, they can hang out in this space. Moreover, the connection between the sunken space and the amphitheater provide multipurpose for the amphitheater to be able to act like another recreational space.

BANGKOK ART ACADEMY

LOCATION : Chatuchak, Bangkok

AREA : 6,450 sq.m.

The site is located at the corner of Phahonyothin road that intersect with Senanikom 1 road. Accordingly, the flow of people are coming from both side of the site.

The concept is to use curved plane to lead people outside the area into the building, and act as a leading line for user’s sightseeing. Therefore, these planes are specified by its gradient for sightseeing and appraoch.

The flow of users starts from the open space at the front of the site as plaza. The curved plane creates the atmosphere of welcoming and leading. Then, it transfers itself into a transition, transit from outdoor to indoor and lead the sight of users to the destination. After gone inside the building, the curved plane demacrates functional space and forms circulation for the users

THE THINKER’S HOUSE

LOCATION : Ban pong, Ratchaburi AREA : 292 sq.m.

This project is a place where the owner come to spend their time on a vacation to ecaspe from a crowded city and a lousy noise, and also to work, but with the need of a little change of scenery. This weekend house is located by the Mae Klong River. It has spaces for relaxtion and a working section.

Since the owner works on a creative job and requires a friendly space for a period of time, the house emphasize nature, unlike the city. Rooms are seperated for a space inbetween that allow fresh air and natural light into the semi-outdoor spaces of the house.

Focus on the natural light, by creating a space between each function and add green elements inbetween it, each room is provided different sense of the Sunlight. Moreover, the space inbetween also provide a multipurpose space outdoor, as a transition from the garden surround the house.

ELEVATIONS

SEASHORE SPA

LOCATION : Kam Tok Island, Thailand

AREA : 292 sq.m.

The design focuses on the tidal current of Kam Tok island, which indicates conditions of forms, placements and funcitons, for getting an intimated experience of the sea. The island faces both its gulf and the Andaman sea, as a result, there are two different tidal current of the site.

The Seashore Spa is designed to arrange crossed the shore. therefore, more spaces are provided to choose for a suitable function.

Sunbath area is facing the sea for the usgae of space that supports activities that will take place in the Andaman sea. Spa room is located at the highest level of the shore, and the pool by the gulf is a supporting function inside the island, so when the tide goes down, there will still be a place that provide activity.
