CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP: Celtic Design Easter Eggs

Join storyteller Rab Swannock Fulton for fun tales for all the family, and afterwards use your imaginations to create your own stories.

Historically, Galway City and the Claddagh Village were great attractions for artists and travel writers. Join artist and motivational tutor Mark D. Smith (BA Hons.) as he leads a class inspired by images of old Galway. All materials will be provided.

Join artist Sinéad McKiernan in using Celtic designs and spirals to decorate your eggs with paint. All materials provided.

Join Brendan McGowan of Galway City Museum to learn about some of the folklore and traditions associated with St. Brigid and her feast day, and afterwards have a go at making some of the various types of Brigid's crosses. Age: 9+

Visit the Jack B. Yeats exhibition with artist Sinéad McKiernan and afterwards, inspired by the colour and lines of the Yeats paintings, create a colourful piece of felt.

TALK: City of the Tribes Galway is known as the "City of the Tribes". Join author Adrian Martyn to find out about these tribes and why the city is named in their honour. Age 12+

Galway City Museum is filled with visually impressive and quirky artefacts relating to the history of the city. Join artist and motivational tutor Mark D. Smith (BA Hons.) as he leads a class in which you observe and sketch your favourite objects. All materials will be provided.
