NEW RELATIONSHIP DIRECTOR FOR LLOYDS TSB LLOYDS TSB is strengthening its Corporate team with the appointment of a new Relationship Director. Justin Snoxell brings with him 25 years’ experience in banking, all with the Lloyds Banking Group. ‘Justin will be responsible for some of our larger and more complex relationships across the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man as well as generating new business opportunities. He has extensive experience within the corporate banking sector and will strengthen the offering we have in this area,’ said Simon Prescott, Head of Corporate, Lloyds TSB Offshore. Mr Snoxell, 42, started his career in retail banking and moved to commercial banking in 1992. During his time with Lloyds Banking Group, he has been Executive Assistant to the Risk Management Director and a Relationship Director in London focussing on providing funding for investors and developers into the UK market. In 2006, he was appointed Regional Head of Property in the south west where he created a new property team and subsequently positions as Head of Property in the South East and Lead Relationship Director in London. His most recent role has been managing a portfolio of corporate property customers in London with lending provided to investors and developers. ‘I am looking forward to using the knowledge and expertise that I have gained through my time working across the UK to benefit the Lloyds TSB Corporate customers in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man,’ said Mr Snoxell who is married with two children Matthew and Olivia.

COUNCILLOR CAROL MALARKEY ELECTED MAYOR OF DOUGLAS
CANACCORD Genuity Wealth Management (formerly Collins Stewart Wealth Management) has appointed Richard Burden as business development manager, focusing specifically on the Middle East.
Members of the Council voted unanimously to elect Councillor Malarkey to the office of Mayor at a statutory public Council meeting held on Wednesday May 8th 2013 in the council chamber of Douglas Town Hall.
Based in the Isle of Man, Mr Burden will work with key intermediaries and introducers in the Middle East, promoting Canaccord Genuity’s wealth and fund management services. He has 15 years business development experience and has held a number of senior sales positions in the UK, Isle of Man and Middle East, including six years as Regional Sales Manager for Friends Provident International and two years in Saudi Arabia setting up a Bancassurance relationship.
Councillor Carol Elizabeth Malarkey has been elected Mayor of Douglas for the 20132014 municipal year.
Proposer Councillor Stephen Pitts praised Councillor Malarkey for her dedication as a much respected member of Douglas Borough Council, especially in her tireless work as chairman of the housing advisory committee. He also highlighted her commitment to raising funds for local causes and in her capacity as a judge on Search for a Star, the fundraising talent contest in aid of Age Isle of Man.
