Royal Arts Prize 2020
It is my immense pleasure to present works by the 37 International artists shortlisted to participate in the 2020 Royal Arts Prize. The exhibition showcases artworks that reflect contemporary art today, brought together from a wide range of cultures and countries. Contemporary in the use of new mediums of expression, multi-cultural in that many of the artists are from outside of the UK and are true representatives of their distinctive and unique culture. All the artworks presented in this catalogue are strong, meaningful and refreshing expressions of contemporary art that embody the force driving individuals to express and affirm their personality and artistic style within today’s modern art landscape. The Royal Arts Prize 2020 Exhibition presents sculpture, painting, drawing, and photography and places no restriction to the artist, regarding age, training or nationality. During the Exhibition the judging panel will select the work of one artist as winner of the RAP 2020. The public visiting the exhibition during the two weeks will also be able to show their appreciation and select a favourite work from the show. The majority of the artists will be present on the opening evening, the works are all for sale and this is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate a moment of oneness and gain more understanding of the artworks from the artists directly.
