VetSTAR SERVICES
Emotional Fitness
Our three veteran service providers are certified VetSTAR coaches who provide one-on-one mentorship-style coaching to veterans and service members. During a session, the veteran identifies absolute musts in their life and the associated internal self-talk The coach helps them eliminate negative self-talk and excuses and reframe them to a positive, empowered format. Typically, coaching starts off bi-weekly and moves to monthly for maintenance.
Physical Fitness
Four days of each week, veterans across the nation gather to indoor rock climb at our partnering gyms in Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia. Climbing builds camaraderie, improves physical fitness, and builds self-confidence Improved self-confidence carries over into faith, family, and work.
Spiritual Fitness
Hope and purpose are intertwined with spiritual fitness, and coaches encourage veterans to replace hate and animosity with love and gratitude Spending time in nature and serving others in a meaningful way activates a spiritual experience.
Professional Fitness
Our National Transition Director meets daily with service members in the process of transitioning to civilian life. He provides connections based on the individual's objectives, makes recommendations for navigating a person's plan, and a checklist for accountability and guidance.
Social Fitness
Each month, the GallantFew crew hosts a veteran breakfast in Dallas called the Metroport Veterans Association Breakfast. This group of veterans gathers to share stories and experiences, their lessons learned, and events or opportunities in the community. Oftentimes, civilian supporters will attend to connect with the local veteran population
