aprofundamentos, uma repetição encadeada de vislumbres, por força do tempo necessário para fazer pintura.

Prelúdio. Devaneio em forma de contágio afectivo como abraço visual. Obras que se manifestam na sua percepção causal como variações para outra conjuntura ainda longe do que surgirá ou porventura um seu prosseguimento... pensa-se tudo como livre. Espelho de vida onde tudo é possível.

Assim, se quiséssemos ver o que a autora escreve a acompanhar as suas exposições, como sendo sobre a sua obra plástica, teríamos que o ver como uma dupla tradução (com as consequentes perdas inerentes à tradução): uma tradução em que artista fala do seu processo experimentado internamente; outra, em que nesse tempo, o fazer pintura trouxe do seu interior para essa linguagem.

Se realmente insistíssemos ver o texto como alusivo à pintura que nos é apresentada teríamos ainda que falar de uma terceira tradução, posterior, entre o visível e a palavra da escrita…mas aí, consciente das perdas e desvirtuamentos da tradução, a artista, na verdade, não fala do que fica visível, talvez porque tenha consciência da enorme distância a que já estaria de si.

A criatura não é pertença definitiva da criadora e é deixada livre, coerentemente com a noção clara que esta tem da impermanência, de estar consciente que tudo está em aberto. E porquê truncar a criatura com o modo como “estava sendo” a criadora quando exerceu a sua criação? – nesse sentido, a escrita da artista plástica tem um caracter de heteronomia, não é sobre o que pinta, decorre em paralelo sem deixar de constituir uma unidade.

A autora exerce a escrita do mesmo modo visceral que exerce a pintura e sente no que faz uma analogia com o actual estado inquietante do mundo (este, onde a sua criatura viverá)… e é talvez isso que lhe torna desnecessária a tentativa da terceira tradução (escrever realmente sobre a sua pintura), pois substituí-a pela confiança que o espectador tenha percepção dessa analogia ao ver a pintura; ainda assim, estabelece umas guias, por exemplo, na escolha dos títulos das exposições ou de algumas obras.

Prenúncio de um estar estabelecido que não sabe quando a entidade prescreve. Uma etapa inaugural para a resolução de algo que não profetiza desenlace. Concepção de um espaço-tempo distinto, um fenómeno emergente que existe como efeito colateral do emaranhamento, efeito-incorporador do tempo. Visão relacional ou processual do Universo. Momentum entre realidades. Presente metamórfico em íntima expansão que abre o Portal para o futuro sensível, subtil. Todo o poder da vulnerabilidade aqui [...] * * Susana Chasse _ 2020

------------------[ In Between ] - Será um texto sobre a pintura?

Susana Chasse pinta e escreve, ou seja, manifesta-se enquanto autora, em momentos em que não se sente dominada por emoções, quando desliga de um sentir próprio e conecta reflexivamente com um todo concebido na mais profunda liberdade.

A duração e a intensidade de trabalho são ditados pelo fluxo em “estar sendo” e não impostos pelo ritmo biológico ou outro. Há um máximo de percepção construída nesse fluxo por uma sucessão de 3

EN The duration and intensity of her work are dictated by the flow in “being” and not imposed by the biological or other rhythm.

There is a maximum of perception built in this flow by a succession of deepening, a chained repetition of glimpses, as result of the time needed to make painting.

Thus, if we wanted to see what the author writes to accompany her exhibitions, as this being about her plastic work, we would have to see it as a double translation (with the consequent losses inherent in the translation): a translation in which the artist speaks of her experienced internally process; as well, what language emerged from the inside by painting.

If we really insisted on seeing the text as alluding to the painting that is presented to us, we would still have to talk about a third, later translation, between the visible and the written word... but then, aware of the losses and distortions of the translation, the artist, in fact , does not speak of what is visible, perhaps because she is aware of the enormous distance she would already be from herself.

The creature is not the creator's definitive belonging and it is left free, consistent with its clear notion of impermanence, to be aware that everything is open. And why truncate the creature with the way it “was being” the creator when it exercised its creation? - in this sense, the artist's writing has a character of heteronomy, it is not about what she paints, it runs in parallel while still constituting a unit.

The author exercises writing in the same visceral way as painting and feels in an analogy with the current disturbing state of the world (this, where her creature will live)… and that is perhaps what makes the attempt of the third translation unnecessary (actually write about her painting), as to replace it by the confidence of the viewer in becoming aware of this analogy when viewing the painting; still, it establishes some guides, including the choice of the titles of the exhibitions or of some of the works.

[ In Between ] Prelude. Daydreaming in the form of affective contagion as a visual embrace. The works that manifest themselves in their causal perception as variations for another conjuncture, but still far from what will emerge or perhaps is just the continuation of it... everything is thought of as free. A mirror of life where anything is possible. [ Impossible is Nothing.]

A harbinger of being established without knowing when the entity prescribes. An inaugural stage for the resolution of something that does not prophesy an outcome. Conception of a distinct space-time, an emergent phenomenon that exists as a side effect of entanglement, an effect that incorporates time. A relational or procedural view of the Universe. A Momentum between realities.

The metamorphic present in intimate expansion that opens a Portal to the sensitive, subtle future. With all the power of vulnerability here [...] * * Susana Chasse _ 2020

Susana Chasse paints and writes, which means, she manifests herself as an author, in moments when she does not feel dominated by emotions, when she disconnects from her own feeling and reflexively and connects with a whole conceived in the most profound freedom.

PT

Susana Chasse nasceu em 1972, Lisboa.

Completou o Mestrado com o tema de tese “Desenho como Meditação.

O Olhar que Contempla” no IADE em 2010. Foi docente de desenho na SNBA (1991) e é formadora de desenho no Nextart em Lisboa desde 2007.

Susana Chasse born in 1972, Lisbon.

She completed the Master with the thesis theme “Desenho como Meditação. O Olhar que Contempla” (Drawing as Meditation. The contaplating look). at IADE in 2010. She was a drawing teacher at SNBA (1991) and has been a drawing trainer at Nextart in Lisbon since 2007.
