LITTLE INDIA VILLAGER
NYP PROJECT
1
THE VILLAGER AND THEIR DWELLING OF MAGIC
This project was to study a “villager” in Little India and develop a design based off the villager’s way of living. For my study, I developed a design using Light and Shadow so that people will not be able see my villager from the outside, but my villager will be able to clear see them from the inside.
BIOMIMICRY (THE LAST REFUGE OF FLIGHT)
This project was to study of an animal or plant and extract unique characteristics which make them interesting. Through this, we had to construct a building/dwelling that is based on a story and the characteristics identified. For my study, I developed a design of an activity area and accommodation based off the Great Pied Hornbill’s casque and wing movements.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS – SOUND
DOME
For this project we had to come up with a new building/improve on a building that will help solve an issue that is commonly faced in society. This issue that I have identified is that people on streets are mainly looking at their phones instead of being aware of their surroundings and appreciating what is around them. My aim is to build a Discovery Centre in one of Singapore's nature parks whereby visitors will be given a chance to experience the different sounds that a forest has to offer in an interactive and educational setting. Through this, it would attract and encourage more people to visit more of Singapore's nature parks just to see what nature has to offer. Through the use of Minecraft, I was able to visualize the proposed building and experience it firsthand how visitors would feel just entering this Sound Dome.
