My name is Gabriel Tee, and I am doing Architecture at Nanyang Polytechnic. I developed an interest in Architecture because of my interest in exhibit design for animals in Singapore’s Wildlife Parks. I joined Nanyang Polytechnic to further my passion for animals and to deepen my understanding on how their exhibits are made.
While studying in Nanyang Polytechnic, I enjoyed being brought out of my comfort zone with the presentations I had to prepare and deliver and was enlightened by my exposure to industry operations and construction site visits. I am proficient in model-making and using digital tools like Photoshop, Revit and other 3D modelling softwares. I thrive when I work in teams with my classmates to complete assignments.
Outside of my Architecture course, I like Photography and Wildlife. I am currently working part time with the Night Safari as a trainer presenter. In my free time, I volunteer at my secondary school as a primer to guide the boys in the Boys Brigade through lessons. I believe that my course and involvements outside of school have allowed me to become a better team player, to be more time conscious and develop an eye for detail.
