Abandoned train station converted into a community resource center.
The objective of this project was to provide numerous resources for a community in a centralized location.
“A Journey Together” is a concept that ties together relief, interaction, stability, community, unity, and individual paths.
The completed design provides public and private spaces for learning, collaboration, health care, and other service interaction.
Community Resource Center
The LocalMotive is a Community Resource Center that services the community around the Pawtucket and Central Falls, Rhode Island area. Their goal is to streamline the process of obtaining necessary services by providing various resources to at-risk families. The LocalMotive not only provides a food pantry, free health clinic, and education space, but also acts as a central hub for the entire community to gather and interact.
How can at-risk communities receive comprehensive support and services for their immediate needs while also eliminating stigma attached to requiring these resources?
Providing decentralized services to at-risk families within the community presents challenges due to lack of transportation, social discomfort, time commitment, and coordination of care and services. The creation of a centralized community resource center, where clients can receive necessary services in one location, would alleviate these stressors.
Families are considered “at-risk” when they experience violence, drug abuse, unemployment, single-parenthood, etc.
Although a large percentage of the local community is considered “at-risk” and will be the primary focus, all members of the community are welcome into the space.
They will be interacting in all public spaces with individuals from the community, but will also be working in areas “behindthe scenes.”

Boston Children’s Hospital Waltham Radiology Unit.
The objective of this project was to space plan and develop multiple configurations for a complete re-do of their radiology unit.
The concept was to bring bright colors and interesting graphics to patient areas to help distract from stress of procedures or imaging.
Each of these options provided a preliminary layout of materials throughout the radiology unit to help designate areas and assist with wayfinding.
The completed design provides various wall graphics designed in collaboration with BCH and Latitude Graphics.
The basis of design was to utilize BCH’s standardized material selections in order to develop themes for each zone that corresponded to those materials.
The graphics in this room were targeted towards a larger adolescent population, including young adults as old as 21 years of age. While still fun, the content and color palette leaned more mature.
For small children, there are items hidden in the graphics for them to discover, including a hot air balloon, birds, buses, and planes.
A large floor-to-ceiling EOS machine was being purchased for this room. We designed around the machine placement to allow for optimal view of patient from the control room.
The large machine posed a challenge for the small space as its primary color is bright orange. We used a mixture of warm tones as “pops of color” in the graphics in order to tie the space together.
Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator
Two level building shell provided.
The objective of this project was to design a hospital that had an emergency room, urgent care, and in-patient rehabilitation facility.
I used a kaleidoscope as my concept in order to divide the areas with color and geometric patterns for wayfinding purposes.
The completed design provides public and private spaces for visitors, patients, and staff to gather and recover.
The atrium features a custom wall mural of patient success stories as the Rehabilitation Facility focuses on Orthotics and Prosthetics rehabilitation.
Seven level with basement building shell provided.
The objective of this project was to design an educational and community space for citizens in NYC.
I used the NYC grid map as my concept because of the structure, stability, and easy wayfinding it creates.
The completed design provides public and private spaces for children and adults to gather and learn together.
Revit, Photoshop, IllustratorThe restaurant is a comfortable space for people to hang out and just get coffee or sit and do work or study. The goal was to keep is more warm and fun, rather than a formal dining setting.
The children’s library space is adjacent to the rest of the library so that parents can have a clear view of their children. The built-in seating areas provide a fun and comfortable way for children to read or lounge. These opneings also allow natural light to come into the space as the windows are located on the opposite side of that wall.
The gallery space has a very simple design with a lot of wall space to display artwork. As this is a place for the community to gather, there are workspaces built into the gallery to encourage the underground art community to come to the surface and display their work.
Perspective of Children’s Library Area Perspective of Art GalleryBoston Healthcare for the Homeless new office space in Boston, MA.
The objective of this project was to create a bright space that is functional for multiple stationary and outreach teams.
The concept was to bring color into the space by using decorative window film to color natural light.
The design utilized Photoshop mockups and Enscape renderings to portray colored light effects on the interior space.
Suspended acoustical curtains, felt clouds, acoustic wall panels, and carpeting are each used to cambat acoustical issues in the space created from the exposed ceilings.
Each of these elements help bring another level of color and depth into the design.
Each window bay is zones with a color following a rainbow gradient around the building. These colors are primarily flooding the space because of the use of colored window film.
Furniture is mainly sourced from an existing office that the company has. The rest of the furniture has been selected from liquidation centers around the Boston area.
Two story office building located in Cambridge, MA.
The objective of this project was to design a office space for a “Best for the World 2019” company, Patagonia.
I used breath as my concept to create an airy flow throughout the space and incorporate breathtaking moments.
The completed design provided users with an experience that did not feel like work. Seating and recreational areas helped this idea. DN
Revit,Mantra logo, color palette, and goals provided.
The objective of this project was to design an experiential retail space for a given brand.
I used the brain as my concept to show two elements that come together to form one.
Traveler 1: A man in his mid-thirties is planning to buy his wife something for her back pain. He doesn’t know the store well, but is immediately greeted by a staff member who is there to assist him. He explains the situation and the staff member who is very educated in CBD products, explains the benefits of CBD and gives a quick overall review of the products they carry. She recommends the CBD roller and being satisfied with the interaction and information he feels confident in his decision and purchases the roller at the cash wrap.
Traveler 2: A woman in her mid-fifties, a frequent customer, come to the regular Friday Fifty class. She comes through the studio entrance and signs in at the iPad at the front desk. She is greeted by the instructor who she has now built a relationship with, and heads to the back to change. After a great workout class she starts to head over to the store with a friend from the class to pick up her pressed juice she gets after every Friday. Her and her friend then go and sit down for a while at the tables and enjoy their drinks.
The completed design created provides users with a unique retail experience that entices customers to return continuously.
Traveler 3: A new mom in her mid-twenties frequents the early morning classes so that she can get a workout in before she has to drop her kids off at school and go to work. Her favorite are the Work it Wednesday classes, but today she is going to Meditation Monday. She comes in the studio entrance and signs in on the iPad at the front desk. She is greeted by the instructor who asks her how she is. After a calming meditation section, she feels great and ready to take on the week and heads back home to bring her kids to school.
Fifteen by fifteen square foot space, most likely part of a strip mall.
The objective of this project was to design an incubator space for an online Etsy shop.
I used the shop’s product ingredients to inspire my design, one being Himalayan Sea Salt.
The completed design provides a relaxing environment for customers that displays the true values of the shop.
HippyHeartNaturals focuses on the development of eco-friendly, cruelty free, and plant based products. Cutting down on the use of plastic and using ethically sourced, non-GMO ingredients, they can focus on their main goal of making healthier products for everyday consumers.

Glass exterior so people walking by can see in and be interested
SketchUp, ProcreateThe design uses many natural materials in order to portray the shop’s core values about sustainability and causing no harm to the environment or a person.
Design a flower shop and use Enscape to render.
The objective of this project was to enhance our skills in Enscape renderings and create interesting views.
I used blossoming as my concept to create an open and inviting evironment through curvature.
The completed design features multiple builtin fixtures and Enscape objects for renderings.
Revit, EnscapeThe built-in behind the cashwrap and preparation area features a sink so that the employees have easy access to water for the floral arrangements that they are creating.
There is an under cabinet lighting fixture placed under each shelf to highlight the objects or floral arrangements on them.
Multiple textures are created through the use of rough and smooth materials, as well as, the inclusion of textured wood paneling on a wall and floor fixture.
Large amounts of natural light comes into the space from the windowed storefront. The story panels are slightly frosted to limit the amount of glare and shadows they create.
PerspectiveBiophilic residential design.
The objective of this project was to update a barn for client healing through nature and biophilic design.
I used soil as my concept to connect with nature and create differnet depths in the design.

Permeable
Soil is a complex mixture of three main elements consisting of sand, silt, and clay. It is the basis for growth and shows how all these broken down and decomposed items that make up the soil can contribute to something beautiful. Clay can be shaped and transformed, tending to the needs of the client. Sand shows the more relaxing and calm side to things, while silt encompasses many of the nutrients required for growth. Neutral
