BUCHAREST night LIFE

Sensation in Romania Romania is in for a treat. On April 21, Romexpo Bucharest will be turned into The Ocean of White for the debut of Sensation Romania. ID&T has joined forces with Events Romania to bring here an unforgettable night.

Since the turn of the century, Sensation has been building an international dance music platform. A new show, based on the famous ‘be part of the night, dress in white’ dresscode, kicks off each summer in Amsterdam, before traveling around the globe. This year, Sensation Romania debuts with the internationally acclaimed show The Ocean of White. More than a million and half people in 20 countries on four continents have participated so far in Sensation, one of the most standardized event brands in the world. Beyond the mandatory dress code that made it famous and which is preserved (all participants dress in white only), Sensation is a complex show, glamour, glittering cocktail of music, dance, lights, theater, choreography and pyrotechnics. Internationally famous DJ mixes all night in a fantastic, opulent setting. Access is only for persons over 18 years. The Ocean of White is a magical journey into lucid waters, a stunning dreamworld filled with giant sea creatures, dj’s, dancers, fire breathers and many other performances. Sensation invites you to become one of the white drops, that make up The Ocean of White. Tickets are available through the Eventim network, in Germanos, Orange and Vodafone shops, Carturesti and Humanitas bookstores and on www.eventim.ro. The following dj’s will guide you through uncharted waters: Mr. White knows how to set the groove. With subtle house and techy influences, he sets the mood and creates the perfect vibe, perfectly aware of what the crowd wants and needs.

Greeg & Onuc are two DJ’s that have been active in the Romanian scene for a long time now. They host a radio show and tour together, rocking clubs all over the country. Pete Tong has a career which mirrors the story of dance music over the last 25 years. For Pete, 2011 represented a significant milestone - BBC Radio 1 hold a special 12 hour takeover on the station celebrating Pete’s 20 years on their airwaves, in March he held his Miami Pool Party, and he’s released two new compilations, Future Underground and All Gone Ibiza ’11 on Defected. He also launched a Las Vegas residency at Encore Beach Club, re-launched his iconic FFRR label at Warner Music, headlined Glastonbury’s dance tent and curated his own tent at the world-famous and the UK’s coolest Bestival… It’s clear why Pete is often referred to as the worlds leading ambassador for electronic music. Fedde Le Grand, a regular at the Sensation events, knows how to please the Sensation crowds all over the world. Eric Prydz, a well-respected DJ and producer, scoring mainstream and underground hits at the same time with numerous chart topping productions, he

stormed the DJMag Top 100. Meanwhile he’s been steadily dropping credible progressive house and techno tracks on his own highly acclaimed labels, Pryda and Mouseville. Eric Prydz is about combining signature basslines with catchy hooks and enchanting melodies, ideal music for Sensation. Hardwell exploded on the scene last year. Being a rising star in Holland for several years now, he had his international breakthrough in 2011. Scoring a massive hit with Tiesto, remixing Martin Solveig, Dada Life and Taio Cruz and reaching the 24th position in the well known Dj mag 100. With his hard-hitting progressive house, Hardwell fits the Sensation formula very well.
