1 Shelter For Your Inner Child
Nestled within the verdant confines of the Araria campus lies a testament to my early creativity and ingenuity: the Shelter for Your Inner Child, an 8’x8’x8’ Pavilion crafted with purpose and imagination. Designed as a sanctuary within the small park, this wooden marvel stands as a beacon of shelter, beckoning both university students and faculty alike to indulge in a transformative experience. Embracing the essence of joy and exploration, the pavilion transcends mere architectural confines, offering a whimsical refuge from the rigors of academia and the mundane.
At its core, the Shelter for Your Inner Child embodies the ethos of playfulness and curiosity. Its structure, meticulously fashioned from wood, seamlessly integrates into the natural landscape, invoking a sense of harmony and unity with its surroundings. The dichotomy inherent in its design manifests through the juxtaposition of climbing structures and intimate, snug spaces. Like a metaphorical bridge between adulthood and childhood, the pavilion invites visitors to rediscover the boundless wonders of their youth while embracing the responsibilities of the present.

A Shelter For the Tame
The soft finish of the wood, imbued with the sun’s warmth, cradles visitors in its embrace, cocooning them in a sense of gentle nurturing. As they settle into the inviting spaces within the pavilion, the cares of the outside world melt away, replaced by a profound sense of peace and belonging. Conversations flow freely, laughter mingles with the rustle of leaves, and friendships are forged in the crucible of shared experience.
In these intimate alcoves and nooks, the pulse of campus life slows to a gentle rhythm—a testament to the transformative power of architecture to inspire moments of connection and contemplation. Here, amidst the wooden embrace of the Shelter for Your Inner Child, strangers become friends, and the bonds of community are strengthened with each passing breath.

A Shelter For The Adventurist
Nestled low to the ground, a welcoming aperture invites visitors to shed the burdens of adulthood and embrace the simple pleasures of childhood once more. With gentle encouragement, patrons are encouraged to crawl through the aperture, symbolizing a return to innocence and uninhibited exploration. Within its snug confines, the boundaries between reality and imagination blur, igniting a sense of wonder that knows no bounds.
Adjacent to the crawling aperture, a set of rhythmic steps ascend skyward, beckoning adventurers to ascend to new heights with each playful bound.
At the pinnacle of the pavilion’s exterior, a short yet exhilarating slide awaits, offering patrons the opportunity to descend with wild abandon into the waiting arms of possibility below.
Together, these interactive structures serve as portals to a realm of endless possibility—a sanctuary where the spirit of youth reigns eternal, and the burdens of adulthood are cast aside in favor of unbridled joy and spontaneity. In the embrace of the Shelter for Your Inner Child’s exterior wonders, visitors are reminded of the transformative power of play—a timeless reminder that within each of us lies a spark of curiosity waiting to be ignited, and a childlike sense of wonder yearning to be set free.

2 Immersion Exhibit For Conscious Consumption
The Immersion Exhibit for Conscious Consumption, is a captivating endeavor that intertwines interactive design with a profound message about garment production. Spanning 2000 square feet within Common’s Park, the exhibit stands as a beacon for conscious consumerism and boutique fashion innovation.
At its core, the project challenges the prevailing norms of mass manufacturing, inviting patrons to question and reflect upon the environmental, social, and ethical implications of contemporary production methods. By immersing visitors in an interactive experience, the exhibit serves as a catalyst for dialogue and introspection, prompting individuals to reconsider their consumption habits and embrace sustainable alternatives.
In essence, the Immersion Exhibit for Conscious Consumption transcends its physical confines to become a dynamic platform for education, inspiration, and advocacy. It stands as a testament to the transformative power of architecture to provoke social change and shape collective consciousness.

Ideation + Sample
The dichotomy encapsulated by the two studio spaces - Ideation and Sample Creation - emerges as a testament to the fusion of sustainability, creativity, and functionality. These spaces serve as the beating heart of the Immersion Exhibit for Conscious Consumption, embodying a harmonious balance between environmental consciousness and artistic innovation.
Designed with meticulous attention to sustainable construction practices and materials, the Ideation and Sample Creation studios stand as beacons of ecoconscious design. From renewable resources to recycled materials, every element of the studios reflects a commitment to minimizing ecological footprint without compromising on aesthetic appeal or structural integrity.
These spaces help exentuate the beauty of small, sustainbale operations in fashion.

Fabric + Scaling
The Fabric and Scaling manufacturing spaces emerge as poignant reflections of the dichotomy inherent in contemporary garment production. These spaces, rooted in the industrial warehouse vernacular, serve as sobering reminders of the environmental toll exacted by mass manufacturing practices.
Architecturally, the Fabric and Scaling spaces draw inspiration from the utilitarian aesthetic of industrial warehouses, embodying a stark contrast to the warm and inviting ambiance of the studio spaces. Their design language speaks to the impersonal and mechanized nature of large-scale garment production operations, evoking a sense of detachment and desolation.
Unlike the sustainable ethos that permeates the Ideation and Sample Creation studios, the Fabric and Scaling spaces stand as embodiments of indifference to environmental concerns. Their very existence serves to underscore the profound environmental footprint left by the relentless pursuit of mass production—a footprint that often goes unnoticed or ignored in the quest for efficiency and profit.

For the Neighborhood Of Bessemer. Pueblo, Colorado
3 The Archive for Informal Communnication
Nestled within the idyllic rural neighborhood of Bessemer, this project embarks on a compelling journey to redefine community engagement and cultural discourse. Tasked with creating an archive and social club, this endeavor transcends traditional boundaries, delving deep into the nuanced interplay between the anti-establishment and the establishment.
The Archive for Informal Communications emerges as a bastion of creativity and connectivity, weaving together the diverse threads of local art, grassroots activism, and collective expression. Situated at the intersection of rebellion and conformity, the building serves as a dynamic nexus where voices once marginalized find resonance and relevance.
At its core, the project embodies a dual narrative: on one hand, it celebrates the raw energy and subversive beauty of graffiti culture, elevating the ephemeral artistry found on the walls of local sheds to the realm of public spectacle. On the other hand, it sheds light on the subtle nuances of custodial censorship, unveiling the subconscious abstract murals that emerge from the interplay between suppression and resilience.

Dichotomy On Display
This archive serves as an exploration of the delicate interplay between the anti-establishment and establishment narratives, seamlessly woven together within a unified atmosphere of creativity and community. Positioned as a focal point where divergent voices converge, the pavilion serves as a dynamic platform for showcasing the vibrant pulse of Bessemer’s art scene.
At the heart of the pavilion’s design are two masses, each representing a distinct facet of the local cultural landscape: the anti-establishment and the establishment. Through the projected slideshow displayed on these masses, patrons are treated to daily updates on key Bessemer art anomalies, offering a window into the everevolving tapestry of creativity and expression that defines the neighborhood.
The juxtaposition of these two masses symbolizes the tension and synergy between countercultural movements and institutionalized norms, inviting visitors to engage with the rich complexity of Bessemer’s artistic identity. By spotlighting both the subversive graffiti adorning local walls and the more conventional forms of artistic expression, the pavilion celebrates the diversity of voices and perspectives that shape the community’s collective consciousness.

A Canvas For Conflict
The courtyard that separates the Publication and the pavilion emerges as a dynamic space ripe with potential for a communal case study of the antiestablishment and the establishment dynamics within Bessemer. Here, amidst the interplay of divergent perspectives and ideologies, lies the crucible where the ethos of the neighborhood is both tested and affirmed.
As the taggers of Bessemer begin to treat the building as a blank canvas, the establishment faces a pivotal moment of reckoning. Confronted with the raw energy and subversive creativity of graffiti culture, they are compelled to reconsider their preconceived notions of authority and ownership. Will they embrace the spontaneous expressions of dissent as a testament to the neighborhood’s vibrant spirit, or will they succumb to the impulse to suppress and control?
The response of the establishment to the evolving graffiti landscape speaks volumes about their willingness to engage with the community on equal terms. Will they view the tags as acts of vandalism to be eradicated, or will they recognize them as legitimate forms of expression deserving of respect and acknowledgment?
