THE WESTERN FORCE RugbyWA is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for the growth and development of rugby in Western Australia, including the day-to-day running of the professional Super Rugby franchise, the Western Force.

THE IMPORTANCE OF HOME GROWN TALENT Since the inclusion of the Western Force into the Super Rugby competition in 2006, there has been a continual increase in the demand for rugby talent in Australia.

RugbyWA has initiated The Future Force Foundation to provide a financially viable recruitment model to increase the number of home grown and nurtured players, assisting gifted young players to reach their goal of playing professional rugby for the Western Force.

The Future Force Program identifies rugby talent from home and abroad, and weaves them into the fabric of rugby in Western Australia. This is achieved by recruiting outstanding young players between the ages of 18 and 21 who relocate to Perth, providing them with full board, transport and bursary to cover sundry expenses.

Being part of a full time rugby program enables the players to train alongside the Western Force team, fast tracking their development whilst gaining an intimate insight to the demands and expectations of being a professional athlete.

By partnering with our local rugby clubs we also ensure the players are fully integrated into the local rugby community, playing alongside aspiring Perth players on a regular basis.

Our vision is to host a world-class rugby academy, to develop the next generation of players for the Western Force. Our target is to have three players annually progress into the Western Force.

A HOLISTIC APPROACH The Western Force place a strong emphasis on developing the individual not just the rugby player.

We will equip young players with the necessary attributes to perform at their optimum and to fulfil their potential as players and as people. All athletes within the Western Force are encouraged to have an off-field program that assists the individual to achieve their educational or vocational aims.

The Future Force programme will see the players’ week divided between both rugby and off-field curriculum. This may include attending one of many of Western Australia’s leading academic institutions or work experience to assist with achieving career objectives.

This holistic approach to player development, not only provides a balance for the athlete, but ultimately creates a better rugby player.

TAX DEDUCTIBILITY The Future Force Development Fund is a registered project with the Australian Sports Foundation ltd. (ASF), a non-profit company limited by guarantee. The ASF’s listing in the Income Tax Assessment Act (ITAA) 1997 as a Deductible Gift Recipient enables donations of $2 or more to be tax deductible.

There are two ways to become involved:

OPTION 1 - MEMBERSHIP OF THE FUTURE FORCE FOUNDATION $11,250 - Become a Member of the Future Force Foundation, a group of Perth’s leading business identities who share a passion for Ruby in Western Australia.

Annual Member Benefits • Tickets for you and a guest to all regular season home matches, and priority finals purchase; • Access to the exclusive and fully-catered Future Force Lounge with entertainment, including pre-match guest speakers at every Western Force home game; • Tickets for you and a guest to attend the Wallabies V Argentina Rugby Test Match in Perth with a pre- match function at RugbyWA and transport to the ground; • Access to exclusive, weekly Future Force fitness sessions in the Western Force gym; • An invitation to attend ‘closed’ Western Force training sessions; • An invitation for you and a guest to attend the Western Force Season Launch; • An invitation to an intimate and exclusive pre-season luncheon featuring a briefing from the Head Coach on team tactics and match strategy; • Exclusive access to any touring Western Force Captain’s Run at any Australian venue; • Access to attend the 2016 Western Force Sponsors Tour (tour not included in price of membership); • Invitation to two Future Force functions, attended by the Head Coach and the current scholarship holders which will provide updates on the progress and performance of the Future Force Foundation from both a player development and financial perspective.

OPTION 2 - DONATIONS The Foundation is extremely appreciative of all support provided. Funding goes towards supporting the player’s, travel, education, and specialist coaching requirements.

As an example: • Education for a player annually is approximately $5,000.

• Providing specialist strength and conditioning and physiotherapy annually is approximately $3,000.

• Clothing and training kit annually is $400.
