I studied sustainable architecture at Institut Victor Horta of Bruxelles (BE) and at Politecnico di Torino (IT), where i did also a Master in Built Environment. Since 8 years i work in Berlin (DE) as architect, currently at the Zvi Hecker office.
Since long time i am interested on the narratives and stories about cities and communities. I experimented the development of a neighborhood blog called Sun Salvario in my home town Torino, a sort of loudspeaker and a digital meeting point for the activities offered by the many associations and cultural realities of the area. At the same time with students of the universities and with local networks we organized urban exploration workshops that used a multidisciplinary approach to analyze the city. Some of those workshops were especially based in the area of Lucento, northwest of Torino, along the relics of its industrial past. After moving to Berlin in 2016 I kept focusing on communities activities, heading through explorations of “brachen”, abandoned urban green areas, underused spaces and finding new potentials in it. With a group of citizens we activate a little abandoned plot near a pedestrian bridge and we created an informal urban garden, that became a sort of little plaza in a busy corner of the neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg.
Working on the intersection between urban and natural spaces is my actual focus. I would like to explore the rivers area of Berlin and Sofia to see how those spaces are used not only by the citizenship but as well by animals, insects and the plants world. The areas that I would like to focus would be probably the Panke and the Wuhle areas in northwest and east of Berlin and the Perlowska, Boyanska and Wladajska canal areas in Sofia. My interest would be to read the element of water as a key to interlace stories, experiences, memories, activities…
