I’ve seen many prayers answered, and there have been many emotional and challenging moments, but I thank God for the power of the Holy Spirit who knows all things and brought breakthrough in the lives of his people. I want to thank my daughter Jessica for her editing advice. To Dr. Lois Demory Banks for her prayers and encouraging words. My greatest praise goes to “God Almighty” who is the star of it all.

PRAYER IS YOU SIMPLY TALKING TO GOD. NO FLAIR. NO TECHNICALITIES. NO SPECIAL FORMULAS. JUST TALKING. What Are Prayers? Why Do Christians Pray? Prayer is an “intimate conversation” with God using His language and ways of communicating with Him. When you begin to develop a “conversation” with God it is like getting to know your family member. Who are you? What do you do? Where did you come from, etc? God will then “entreat you” and speak and then show you His ways through His Word, which is the bible. It is essential to the well-being of every believer to pray. The Bible tells us in Luke 18:1 ”we are to pray always and not lose heart or give up.” Jesus teaches us how to pray. Here in Matthew 6:5-14, we have our example and instructions. He tells us not to be pretenders who love to receive attention from others while praying, but to go into your innermost chamber and be alone with the Father, praying to him in secret. Prayer will bring you into the presence of God causing a great relationship to form with the Holy Spirit. Acts 12:5 states that Peter was in prison, but the Church persistently prayed fervently for him, and “suddenly, an angel of The Lord appeared and light shone in the place where he was and the angel awaken him and said, ‘get up quickly,’ and led him out of prison.” Prayer is the key that causes the angelic host to go to work on your behalf. The church is a cooperating body that can intercede on the behalf of others. It is God’s will that none may parish and that we co-labor as intercessors with the will of God to “bring heaven to earth”. Prayer also changes the person praying, bringing about transformation as he or she draws closer to God.

T WO SHORT ST ORIES Story One: What About Anna? Oh my, if we have the faith like Anna, can you imagine the lifestyle for Christ that we would live! Can you imagine the “impact” that we could make? In Luke 2:36, we find Anna, a prophetess who was as at the temple worshipping God. She was steady in her communion with God. I believe that once you “really” hear God’s voice and truly commune with Him, there is no going back to what your norm. Anna never left the temple, fasting and praying day and night. She was going to her “source” of strength, peace, love and deliverance. She was committed to seeing a “result” and she knew that the ONLY ONE and the ONLY WAY for this deliverance was through and by God Almighty. She gave herself to the discipline of seeking God’s face for the deliverance of Jerusalem when, finally, she met Joseph and Mary coming to the temple with Jesus. Her answer came walking into the temple. She told everyone she had met Jesus, The Son of God. She never gave up. Why? She believed the word of God. The definition of prayer is “a spiritual communion with God as in supplication, thanksgiving, adoration and petition.” Prayer is the key to heaven, but faith unlocks the door. The Word of God brings life as we use it to pray. It becomes rooted and grounded inside of us causing a chain reaction from the inside out. I pray that “you” would be persistent in pursuing a relationship with Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has been given to us as a Friend, the One who tells us of the things and life of Jesus, as a Comforter and much more. It is up to us to seek (him). The Holy Spirit loves to share His secrets with those who pursue Him. God involved mankind in his plans and seeks assistants to pray His will into the earth’s realm.

The 30 Day Prayer Challenge | 6

When we say “heaven come down or bring heaven into the earth, we mean that the way (s) that we desire what God originally meant for us to have such as peace, to reign in authority and to have God’s lasting presence among us so that the supernatural movement of God can have preeminence.” We become secret agents on assignment for the kingdom of God, multiplying the kingdom at rapid speed—carriers of His glory. We become walking epistles trusted with the gospel of Christ. We become the answer to someone’s prayer. We are a gift to a dying world. Anna, indeed was a secret agent. She did not “tout” her relationship and her discipline with God, she just “was.” That means it was her daily habit which intensified in the time needed for her people. We too, must intensify as needed. Wisdom Key: Because of LOVE, make your daily habit one that seeks to KNOW God as your Father and Jesus as your LORD, SAVIOUR and FRIEND.

Story Two: Coming Out of His Comfort Zone As we see with Abraham, God called him out of his comfort zone with his family to a place he had not yet known. In his family was paganism; they worshipped other gods. God separated Abraham from his family and brought him into a relationship with Himself. God began to train Abraham in knowing His voice. Abraham believed and followed instruction in faithful obedience. God wanted to separate him from all the other voices that were in his life. Why? So that he might hear clearly and do the will of God. What was “ahead” of Abraham required strict instructions! He was about to be God’s conduit to save “many lives.” God will not be in competition with others; He requires being first place. This too is what prayer is all about, knowing the voice of the Holy Spirit. Knowing God’s voice is as any baby begins to “know” the voice of their parents. The baby is around their parents “all” the time and begins to know their sound, their smell and their ways. This is no difference with us in understanding the One who made us and the One who cares for us…God Almighty. We know that the bible speaks to every situation known to man. God is not surprised by any situation that arises in our lives, but we must “read” the bible to know the voice of God in order to pray the will of God. God is so wise that He literally “hides” His truths in the Word of God and so many people “miss” it by not reading His word. God “promised” Abraham and the people of God some things. Land, peace and worship were some things that were important. If it was important for Abraham and the children of God then, it is important for “you” now. Take the next few prayers to make prophetic declarations so that it becomes “manifest” in your life and that it extends for many generations in your family. We declare that you will leave a legacy that magnifies the Name of Jesus and speaks of God’s goodness towards you and your family. “O Taste and See That the Lord Is Good” Psalm 34:8

Declaration #1 Numbers 33:52 Amplified Bible (AMP) Prayer of Deliverance for Land “Then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their sculpted images, and destroy all their cast idols and completely eliminate all their (idolatrous high places), and you shall take possession of the land and live in it, for I have given the land to you to possess.” Pray this prayer for you and your family, believing! Declare: Lord, I thank you for the land (ownership of several properties and the land) you have given me as an inheritance to my children, grandchildren and their children’s children. This is a memorial to our lineage and a sign that You are a God who keeps His promises. Help us to keep our covenant with you, eliminating anything or person that might cause division in our family. Let our eyes keep focus on your plan for our lives that we might fulfill the assignment you have given to us. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Declaration #2 Prayer for Peace on Every Side Matthew 5:10 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Blessed comforted by inner peace and God’s Love are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right.” Declare: God, I thank you for inner peace that surpasses all understanding, that keeps me calm when challenges arise. I thank you that You are the ONE who grants “peace.” Without you I can do nothing, but with you I can do all things. I trust that you because I know that You want the best for me; therefore, I lean on you when I don’t know which way to turn because you have the answer to every problem I face. I thank you for peace on “every side”… In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Declaration #3 My Worship Unto the Lord It is not a suggestion that we “praise or worship” God. You can search

the bible and find that God will hear His people in certain ways. It is your responsibility to “seek the Word” and to know what pleases Him. Psalms 47:6 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Sing praises to God, Sing praises.” Declaration #4 Lord, I honor your name for you are majestic, mighty magnificent, imperial, and royal. You are the exalted One, marvelous throughout the earth. In all my ways, I acknowledge you because you are brilliant and extravagant, God. There is no one like You. The very earth speaks of You, the trees bow before You, the wind whispers Your name. You are high and lifted up. Let my mouth call for You from the highest hills to the lowest valley. As I continue, seeking to KNOW You more, let us not forget Your Name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Your relationship is the MOST VALUABLE desire of God our Father. We don’t just call Him Father as a religious act. God has many names which remain at its root “the Creator of all things.” We are mentioned in Genesis Chapter One on the sixth day. When God made us, He looked upon us and said “very good.” Everything about you is wrapped in God. You cannot get around it so we have to lean into it!

Restoration

We serve the Only true and living God. It is my hope that as you are on this 30 day journey to establish a deeper and intimate relationship with God-your Father, that you will always remember that God Our Father is The One who never fails us. Remember, we always will have opportunities to change our course (s). We are so excited about you stepping out and coming into the very desire of Your Father…that is to come to know Him. It does not matter what has happened in your life as of today. This is a day of “restoring you,” reviving your dreams, providing confidence from God and placing you in a position to prosper so that all will know that the Hand of God is upon you. “Welcome to your new day!” You will LEAD many. “And the prayers of faith will restore the one who is sick, and raise him up; and if he has committed sin, he will be forgiven.” James 5:15 Amplified Bible (AMP) Prayer: Lord, forgive me for any time that I may have sinned. Forgive me for those things I have said unknowingly and thoughts I have had against others. Forgive me for allowing the enemy to use my thoughts and my mouth to speak words not in alignment with your Word. I close the door to negative thoughts, and I think on things that are lovely and

pure. I thank you for restoring my soul, mind and body. I walk into my new day as You have become my LEAD. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Deliverance from Bondage Leviticus 25:42 Amplified Bible (AMP) “For the Israelites are my servants whom I brought out of the Land of Egypt; they shall not be sold in a slave sale.” If you have been in “bondage” which means under or into an influence that you could not shake or get out of, such as alcoholism, pornography, witchcraft, evil towards others, child slavery, incest and the like… TODAY is your day. It is really only by God’s word are we delivered. Our true deliverer is God. God is the “same” yesterday, today and forever more. He is not one who is a respector of a person’s status, what they look like or how deep in sin you are. If He delivered the people of Israel He will deliver you. Do not be fooled to think that your situation is too bad for God. Again, TODAY is your day! Prayer: TODAY, I stand against the spirit of slavery and limitation that holds your people in bondage. I break through the prison bars of my mindset, and I call forth the warring angels that are assigned to me to break the spirit of captivity. I lose the God’s spirits to provide the overflow, more than enough for me and those associated with me so that we all have to “give much away to the people of God and those as we are assigned.” I take the territories of the enemies for the Kingdom of Heaven. Whether my enemy is debt, sickness, low self esteem, trauma or the like. I move into the seven spheres of influence (business, education, faith, arts & entertainment, media, family and government) and establish

your sphere of influence, the Kingdom of Christ. We send every illegal spirit back to the abyss of Hell, never to return again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Closing Gates to the Enemy Job 38:17 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Have the gates of death been revealed to you or have you seen the gates of deep darkness?” Prayer: Lord, I close all gates to the enemy’s camp: the gates of unforgiveness, selfishness, greed, hatred, bitterness, strife doubt, pride, jealousy, intimidation, manipulation, anger and destruction. Forgive me, Lord, for participating and being involved in Satan’s plans. I close the gate, seal it and declare that I have had enough. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Mind of Christ Matthew 15:19 Amplified Bible (AMP) “For out of the heart come evil thought and plans murder, adulteries, sexual, immoralities, thefts false testimonies and slander.” Sometimes, we might believe that we are good people, not doing anything seriously wrong and abiding by the law. This is great and we are to be law abiding citizens. We are also to be citizens of the Kingdom of God in that we have the “mind” of Christ. Jesus did not walk this earth just for His pleasure. He was and is focused and has set an example for us to follow of living a Christ centered lifestyle. A Christ centered

lifestyle always points to God the Father and His loving kindness and His thoughts from the beginning for us His people. Please do not have a prejudice view about being a Christian whereas we are “better” than those that do not know God or Jesus as Lord. God forbid, if we had not been ministered to or spoken to-we would be as such-lost without a Saviour. Prayer: Lord, you said that I have the mind of Christ. Thank you for planting your Word in my heart that I might never sin against you. You said in your Word to think on things that are lovely and pure. We bind all negative thoughts that do not exalt you, and we put them under the blood. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Benefits Psalms 103 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Who forgives all your sins who heals all your diseases.” Prayer: Father we thank you now that you have forgiven all of our sins and healed all of our sickness. We thank you for the love you have shown towards us and continuing to give us good things for our lives. We decree and declare that we are being made young again like the eagle, and we shall have new feathers forever. We magnify your name for bringing healing and bandaging our wounds. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are perfect in all your ways, and no one can advise you in your plans for the universe. We need your wise counsel in every decision we make. Help us, Lord, to seek your face for strategic plans. What do you want me to learn? Help me not be outdated.(Psalms 51 says) “create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me.” Clean out the old data so that I might receive the new. You said that we can’t receive new wine in old wine skins. You said in ”Romans 12:2-3 not to change ourselves to be like the people of this world, but to let you change us from the inside with a new way of thinking.” Then, we will be able to understand and accept what you want for us.
