Exercise to create a new MoMA store at the Moritz Factory in Barcelona. Presentation to Lumsden Design -Designers of the MoMA stores-
The proposal is based on the recognition of the aesthetics and brand values of MoMA -Luminosity, freshness-, adapted to the particular characteristics of the Moritz factory -darkness-. Thus generating a contrast between both poles. A gradient of light and dark, a game between spotlight and background.
In this way, a theatrical environment is produced where the product and the customer experience are protagonists, and the architecture acts as backdrop for the scenery.
This MoMA store in Barcelona wouldn't have the privilege of having the MoMA Museum itself as support and meaning of the visit, therefore, the proposal establishes an opportunity to recreate the link with the museum through experience in the center of the space: A mirror-screen platform that shows the exhibition rooms of the MoMA museum in real time.
