Tras un arranque de año marcado por los eventos internacionales dedicados al sector Turismo, hemos pasado por FITUR y por la ITB de Berlín, volvemos a la “rutina”. Aunque este retorno nos suponga un nuevo episodio en el calendario turístico.

After a start to the year marked by international events dedicated to the Tourism industry, with FITUR and the ITB in Berlin, we return to our “routine,” which includes for us yet another event on the tourism calendar.

Ya tenemos aquí la Semana Santa. Para muchos es un Spring Break y para otros días de reflexión y devoción. En Taxi Magazine tienen cabida todos los planes.

Hacemos unos kilómetros y nos acercamos a la playa con un paseo por Isla Cristina, recorremos con calma el espíritu castrense de la Semana Santa de Cartagena, y en Madrid somos capaces de proponer planes que alternan las procesiones con las mejores opciones escénicas de la capital. Antes de la Semana Santa el Teatro de la Zarzuela acoge La Gran Duquesa de Gerolstein, una zarzuela bufa que significa el retorno de este género a las tablas del teatro. Una ocasión que no se puede dejar pasar. Todo esto y mucho más en el número 86. Una edición en la que te proponemos, como siempre, multitud de planes y opciones a las que llegar a bordo de un taxi.

We travel a few miles to visit the Isla Cristina, calmly contemplate the military spirit of Cartagena's Easter Week, and in Madrid we are able to propose some ideas mixing processions with the capital's premier stage options. Before Holy Week the Teatro de la Zarzuela welcomes the La Gran Duquesa de Gerolstein, a satire that marks the return of this genre to the stage. An opportunity that is not to be missed. La Temporada 2015/2016 incluirá grandes óperas de Mozart, Wagner, Haendel, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi o Schönberg, que llegarán al escenario del Teatro Real con producciones de la máxima calidad y algunos de los mejores artistas. Un total de doce grandes títulos que incluirán coproducciones con teatros de ópera como el Covent Garden o la Ópera Nacional de París. En la 19ª temporada del Teatro Real desde su reapertura se presentarán cinco nuevas producciones operísticas, cuatro producciones invitadas, tres óperas en versión de concierto y dos óperas de cámara que se ofrecerán en los Teatros del Canal. La programación se completa con tres espectáculos de danza y dieciséis conciertos integrados en los ciclos Voces del Real, Sesiones golfas y el recién creado Bailando sobre el volcán. The 2015/2016 Season will include great operas by Mozart, Wagner, Handel, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi and Schönberg, gracing the stage at the Royal Theater with highquality productions and some of the top artists. A total of 12 great titles that will include coproductions with opera houses like the Covent Garden and the National Opera of Paris. During the Royal Theater's 19th season since it reopened, five new opera productions will be presented, four guest productions, three concert versions of operas, and two chamber operas, to be performed at Teatros del Canal. The program will be rounded out by dance performances and 16 concerts forming part of the "Voces del Real", "Sesiones golfas" and "Bailando sobre el volcán" series. Llega al Teatro de la Zarzuela un nuevo estreno absoluto de la Compañía Nacional de Danza. Cuando Johan Inger recibió el encargo de la CND, de montar una nueva versión de Carmen, siendo él sueco y Carmen una obra con un marcado carácter español, se encontró ante un enorme reto, pero también una gran oportunidad. Su aproximación a este mito universal tendría que aportar algo nuevo. Para ello, Inger decidió centrarse en el tema de la violencia, aproximándose a ella a través de una mirada pura y no contaminada… la de un niño. Partiendo de este enfoque, Inger crea un personaje, que propicia que seamos testigos de todo lo que pasa, a través de sus ojos inocentes, a la vez que contemplamos su propia transformación. The Teatro de la Zarzuela presents an absolute debut by Spain's National Dance Co. When Johan Inger was charged with creating a new version of Carmen at the CND, as he was Swedish, and Carmen was quintessentially Spanish, he faced an enormous challenge, but also a golden opportunity. His approach to this legendary work, famous worldwide, would have to contribute something new. Thus, Inger decided to focus on the theme of violence, through the pure and contaminated vision… of a boy. Employing this approach, Inger creates a character who allows us to witness everything that happens through innocent eyes, even as we contemplate his own transformation. Coincidiendo con el cierre temporal del Kunstmuseum Basel para la renovación de sus instalaciones el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía muestra una selección de más de cien obras maestras de su colección (pinturas, esculturas, collages, fotografías y vídeos). Este conjunto, que abarca desde finales del siglo XIX hasta la actualidad, trata de ofrecer un amplio panorama del tránsito del arte moderno al contemporáneo, incluyendo ejemplos de movimientos tan diversos como el expresionismo, el post-expresionismo alemán o el Pop art. Coinciding with the temporary closing of the Kunstmuseum Basel for the refurbishment of its facilities, the Queen Sofía National Museum & Art Center presents a selection of more than 100 masterpieces from its collection (paintings, sculptures, collages, photographs and videos). These works, which span from the late 19th century down to the present day, seek to offer a broad overview of the evolution of Modern to Contemporary Art, including works from a range of movements like Expressionism, German Post-expressionism and Pop Art.

LA CELESTINA Desde / From 25 mar.

CHARO LÓPEZ Es una de nuestras más grandes actrices, sin duda alguna. Acaba de recibir el Premio Fotogramas de Plata Especial por una carrera llena de éxitos en cine, teatro y televisión. Hace 20 años hizo un monólogo con el que recorrió España, Tengamos el sexo en paz, de Dario Fo y Franca Rame, que supuso un antes y un después en su carrera teatral. Ahora la tenemos en el Teatro Español (a partir del 25 de marzo) interpretando nada más y nada menos que a La Celestina de Fernando de Rojas, en versión de Álvaro Tato, uno de los componentes de la compañía Ron Lalá. Aquí estás, Charo, con otro monólogo... Un reto enorme. Podría decir que es una obra más en mi carrera, pero no. No, no, no. Tengamos el sexo en paz fue muy importante, me puso en un sitio muy bueno con respecto a la profesión, tuve unas críticas de locura, pero era muy diferente a este otro monólogo. Aquí hay pasajes de La Celestina de Fernando de Rojas y tengo la suerte de interpretar unas frases de Melibea, otras de Calixto, otras de Sempronio... y luego hay otro entorno, escrito por Álvaro Tato, sobre un mundo paralelo a la Celestina, imaginario, y eso a todas las mujeres que ven la obra les chifla. ¿Por qué les chifla? Porque se habla de la juventud de una mujer que hace el amor, que es feliz, que está enamorada de la vida, que tiene la misión de hacer de alcahueta… Habla del aborto, del dinero, de cómo vivía, que eso es Celestina pura, cuando dice los oficios que tenía… Es muy cercano todo lo que cuento. Se dice en el texto del dossier de prensa que Celestina lleva una vida del lado de las brujas. ¿Es una forma de reivindicar la libertad de la mujer? Por supuesto. Celestina habla del mundo y de la vida, del amor y del sexo, de la felicidad y de la belleza. Y de la vejez. Habla desde el punto de vista de una vieja alcahueta. Es mucho más que una hechicera. La brujería era una forma de vivir, porque en un momento dado dice ella: “he hecho de mi labor mi vida, como las arañas, las avispas, las monjas y las putas”. Celestina se dedica a lo que se dedica, pero en esa época si querían ser mujeres libres e independientes, tenía que ser así. Ser bruja era un éxito comercial.

She is one of our greatest actresses, without any doubt, having just received the Fotogramas Special Silver Prize for her career achievements in cinema, theater and television. 20 years ago she performed a monologue that toured Spain, "Let's Have Sex in Peace", by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, which marked a turning point in her stage career. She can now be seen at the TeatroEspañol (starting on the 25th) playing nothing less than the "Celestina" (matchmaker) in the eponymous Fernando de Rojas work, in a version by Álvaro Tato, one of the members of the Ron Lalácompany. Here you are, Charo, with another monologue… Abig challenge. I could say that it is just one more role in my career, but it´s not. No, no, no. "Let' Have Sex in Peace" was very important, and really carved out a good place for me professionally. I got rave reviews from the critics, but it was very different from this monologue. Here there are passages from Fernando de Rojas' "La Celestina" and I am lucky enough to have lines from Melibea, others from Calixto, others from Sempronio... and then there is a whole different setting, created by Álvaro Tato, about a world parallel world to the Celestina, an imaginary one, and all the women who see the work love this part. Why do they love it? Because it deals with the youth of a woman who makes love, who is happy, who is in love with life, whose mission is to be a matchmaker… It addresses abortion, money, how she lived... that is pure Celestina, when it talks about the jobs she had… and people can relate to all this. In the press release it says that the Celestina leads a life on the witches' side. Is this a way of defending women's freedom? Of course. Celestina talks about the world and about life, love and sex, happiness and beauty. And of old age. It speaks from the point of view of an old matchmaker. She is much more than a witch. Witchcraft was a way of life, because at one point she says: “I have made my work my life, like a spider, a wasp, a nun or a whore”. The Celestina does what she does, but at that time if they wanted to be free and independent women, that's the way it had to be. Being a witch was a commercial success.

Pues espero que muchas tardes y noches de buenos momentos, de risas, de buen teatro. Hemos hecho ya muchas representaciones, pero aún quedan muchas más. Ojalá el público siga a nuestro lado. ¿En qué próximos proyectos (que puedan contarse) esperamos verte? Estoy compaginando las funciones de esta obra con la grabación de una nueva serie de televisión. Se trata de una producción de Globomedia para Antena 3 que se va a llamar VIS A VIS. Trata de una mujer joven que va a la cárcel por varios delitos monetarios que cometió engañada por un mal tipo. Mi personaje es el padre de la protagonista, un hombre sencillo que intentará ayudar a su hija a salir de la cárcel y se verá envuelto en serios problemas. El papel es bonito, los guiones son estupendos y yo tengo mucha ilusión por este proyecto. Creo que la emitirán pronto. A ver qué pasa. Cuéntanos una ruta habitual en tu recorrido en Taxi por Madrid He tomado infinidad de taxis en Atocha y en Barajas cuando estaba de gira con la obra y volvía a Madrid. Y en general, los taxistas se ponían muy contentos conmigo porque vivo fuera de la ciudad, a 30 km., y la larga carrera les compensaba de la también larga espera en la parada. Así que me alegro de haber colaborado con el gremio taxista a redondear la jornada de algunos de ellos.

Critical awards, popular success and a national tour. What more does The Loan have in store for us? Well, I hope, many afternoons and evenings of good times, laughter, and good theater. We have performed a lot of shows thus far, but there are still many more to come. I hope audiences continue to appreciate it. In what upcoming projects (that can be shared) can we expect to see you? I am juggling these shows with the filming of a new TV series. a, Globomedia production for Antena 3 that is going to be called VIS A VIS. It's about a young woman who goes to jail for several white-collar crimes that she committed, deceived by a bad guy. My character is the protagonist's father, a simple man who tries to help his daughter get out of jail, and becomes entangled in serious problems. The role is interesting, the scripts are excellent, and I am very excited about this project. I think they will be airing it soon. We'll see what happens. Tell us about your typical taxi ride in Madrid I took countless taxis, from Atocha and Barajas, when I was on tour with the play and I returned to Madrid. And, in general, the taxi drivers were very happy with me because I live outside the city, about 30 km, and the long ride made their long wait at the stop worth it. So, I'm glad I was able to support the community of taxi drivers a little by giving some of them quite a bit of work.

LA GRAN DUQUESA DE GEROLSTEIN *Zarzuela bufa en tres actos y cuatro cuadros Opereta de Jacques Offenbach con libreto de Henri Meilhac y Ludovic Halévy, La gran Duquesa de Gerolstein llega al Teatro de la Zarzuela a partir del 13 de marzo. Una producción con la que el Teatro está recuperando un género que, durante los siglos XIX y XX, se mostró con mucha frecuencia sobre sus tablas. Eso sí, convenientemente "arreglado" (traducido y adaptado al español) para procurar el disfrute del público que acudía al coliseo madrileño. En esta ocasión, la conocida pieza antimilitarista francesa sube a escena traducida al español, como entonces, con dirección musical a cargo de Cristóbal Soler y con una emblemática producción de Pier Luigi Pizzi. La coreografía corre a cargo de Marco Berriel. Esta puesta en escena, sumamente sencilla, es una muestra del estilo y colorido del regista italiano, capaz de llegar, con los recursos más simples, a la escena misma del teatro lírico francés. An operetta by Jacques Offenbach, with the libretto by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, The Great Duchess of Gerolstein starts at the Teatro de la Zarzuela on 13 March. This is a production with which the Theater is bring back a genre that during the 19th and 20th centuries was regularly featured on its stage. It has, however, been "arranged" (translated and adapted for Spanish) for the benefit of the audiences at the Madrid venue. On this occasion the well-known French antimilitary work will be performed translated into Spanish, like then, its music overseen by Cristóbal Soler, and with an emblematic production by Pier Luigi Pizzi. The choreography was done by Marco Berriel. The staging, extremely simple, is an example of the Italian style and color, capable of transmitting, with the simplest resources, the same scene from the French work of lyric theatre. La comicidad de esta nueva ópera-bouffe tiene como blanco el virtuosismo canoro, las malas prácticas políticas y los ridículos valores sociales de los pequeños estados centroeuropeos, algo que entienden bien los contemporáneos del autor. Con el éxito llegan también las adaptaciones de la obra. Por ejemplo, en Madrid, La gran duquesa de Gerolstein tuvo dificultades para llegar a los escenarios, quizás porque su historia se sentía vinculada a la penosa perennidad de tantos vicios de la sociedad de la época. Pero lo hizo apenas año y medio después de su estreno parisino —el 7 de noviembre de 1868—, cuando sube a las tablas del Teatro del Circo que regentaba el empresario Arderíus en la Plaza del Rey. Este título, junto a otros del mismo compositor de origen germano, entretuvo al público madrileño durante décadas hasta entrado el siglo XX. Offenbach debuted the work on 12 April 1867 at Paris's Théâtre des Variétés, and it was an instant hit. The humor in this new opera-bouffe targeted sonorous virtuosity and the bad political practices and ridiculous social values of the small Central European states, something that the author's contemporaries understood very well. In the wake of the work's success there came adaptations. In Madrid, The Great Duchess of Gerolstein struggled to make the stage, perhaps because its plot was viewed as denouncing the perennial foibles of society during the era. Nevertheless, it was performed a year and a half after its Paris opening —on 7 November 1868— at the Teatro del Circo, run by the businessman Arderius, in the Plaza del Rey. The work, along with others by the German composer, entertained Madrid audiences for decades, into the 20th century. The soprano Nicola Beller Carbone and Susana Cordón alternate in the role of the Great Duchess, while the Basque tenor Andeka Gorrotxategui and José Luis Sola play Fritz, while Elena de la Merced and Elena Sancho play Wanda.

The National Library of Spain (BNE) and Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) have organized Teresa de Jesús, an exhibition that, through more than 100 pieces books, paintings, engravings and sculptures - presents the immense richness of Teresa's life, her work as a founder and, above all, the originality and beauty of her literary work, as she is honored on the 5th centennial of her birth. Teresa was a voracious reader ever since childhood, and that essential requisite to make her such an exceptional writer will be demonstrated through the books that she cited. She was sickly, but her willpower and determination overcame this, as shown in her personal decisions, her donning of the Carmelite habit, and her quest for the genuine meaning of the cloistral life. These foundations made possible her great work as a reformer.

Teresa escribe una prosa enormemente visual gracias a las comparaciones que crea, y lo hace para que sus lectoras –monjas carmelitas– puedan entender fácilmente lo que quiere describir y contar. La escritora necesitaba imágenes para su vivencia espiritual, y al mismo tiempo supo recurrir a la realidad que le rodeaba. Imitándola, la exposición quiere hacer visibles algunas de las alegorías que ella utiliza, y acompañarlas con las creaciones artísticas que ilustran su obra. Los rasgos de su personal escritura podrán verse en manuscritos que se expondrán por primera vez en la Biblioteca Nacional, junto a bellas obras pictóricas como ilustraciones de lo que ella dice en esos textos.

Teresa wrote an exceptionally visual prose through the comparisons that she draws, so that her readers –Carmelite nuns– could easily understand what she sought to describe. The writer needed images for her spiritual experience, and at the same time was able to draw upon the reality that surrounded her. Imitating it, the exhibition is designed to make visible some of the allegories that she employs, and to accompany them with the artistic creations illustrating her work. The characteristics of her personal writing may be appreciated in manuscripts that will be on display for the first time at the National Library, along with beautiful pictorial works illustrating what she says in those texts.

Desde ahora la pintura flamenca puede disfrutarse en un nuevo Museo en Madrid: el Museo Carlos de Amberes Madrid. Maestros Flamencos y Holandeses. En él se pueden ver obras maestras de los principales artistas flamencos: Rubens, van Dyck, Jordaens, Brueghel el Viejo, David Teniers II, etc. El Martirio de San Andrés, de Rubens, obra tardía y de gran magnitud del maestro barroco flamenco, encargada para la Fundación Carlos de Amberes, preside una colección que ha sido posible reunir gracias a la oportunidad que ha supuesto el cierre del Real Museo de Bellas Artes de Amberes por remodelación, prestando la mayor parte de las obras expuestas. Por su parte el Museo del Prado ha cedido algunas obras de sus fondos de pintura flamenca, la más extensa del mundo, y Patrimonio Nacional, un tapiz excepcional del s. XVI que perteneció a Felipe II. Al conjunto se han añadido recientemente otras obras de colecciones particulares, entre ellas, el Retrato del emperador Carlos V y la emperatriz Isabel de Portugal, de Rubens, cedido por la Fundación Casa de Alba. ITB BERLIN 2015 *14ª exposición de libros y revistas de turismo Del 4 al 8 de marzo de este año ha tenido lugar la 49ª edición de la feria ITB BERLIN, verdadero ‘hub’ del sector turístico a nivel global. La feria ha batido records en 2015, con 10.096 expositores de 186 países presentes; un incremento en el número de visitantes profesionales hasta los 115.000 (un 43% de los mismos venidos de fuera de Alemania) y una cifra de volumen de negocio que ha alcanzado los 6.700 millones de euros. En este marco ha tenido lugar la 14ª Exposición de Libros y Revistas de Viajes y Turismo, organizada por el Centro de Documentación Turística. Allí se ha podido ver una selección de las mejores publicaciones de viajes y turismo, estilo de vida, profesionales, económicas, etc., así como una extensa muestra de libros de turismo, gastronomía y patrimonio. Esta destacada exposición del sector editorial turístico en español ha sido patrocinada por MESSE BERLÍN, el recinto ferial de la capital alemana, y ha contado también con la colaboración del Grupo Marva y el hotel St. Michael- Heim de Berlín. From 4 to 8 March of this year the 49th edition of the ITB BERLIN Fair was held, the veritable epicenter of the international tourism industry. The fair broke records in 2015, with 10,096 exhibitors from 186 countries; an increase in the number of professional visitors, up to 115,000 (43% hailing from outside Germany); and with business volume reaching 6.7 billion euros. In this framework the 14th Tourism Book and Magazine Exhibition was held, organized by the Tourism Documentation Center. There it was possible to view a selection of the best travel and tourism, lifestyle, professional and financial press, as well as an extensive selection of books on tourism, cuisine and cultural heritage. This outstanding exhibition of the tourism publishing sector in Spanish was sponsored by MESSE BERLIN, the convention complex in the German capital, and also by the Grupo Marva and the Hotel St. Michael-Heim in the same city. Una de las últimas campañas que el Ayuntamiento de Cartagena ha expuesto en los medios nos enumeraba los distintos tesoros de la ciudad. Sin duda, su Semana Santa es uno de los principales. La celebración configura la semana más larga del año. Diez días que arrancan el Viernes de Dolores y que para los cartageneros son sinónimo de devoción, pasión y sentimiento. La ciudad entera espera estas Fiestas de Interés Turístico Internacional. El reconocimiento se consiguió el pasado 2005. El silencio respetuoso y de vocación nocturna es agitado sólo por la policromía de las cofradías que acarician las calles en cada una de las procesiones. El orden perfecto de cada una de las citas solemnes en estos diez días nos recuerda el aroma castrense que viaja en el ADN de Cartagena. La Junta de Cofradías de la Semana Santa cartagenera está integrada por cuatro cofradías penitenciales: Marrajos, Californios, Resucitado y Socorro, de las que las dos primeras procesionan varios días. Las primeras procesiones de las que se tiene constancia, fueron las de la cofradía Marraja, que salieron por primera vez en el año 1663. La identidad propia de Cartagena se ve enriquecida con

One of the latest campaigns that the City of Cartagena launched in the media enumerated the city's different treasures. Its Easter Week is, without any doubt, one of the big ones, the celebration representing the longest "week" of the year: 10 days beginning on the Friday of Sorrows, for the locals synonymous with devotion, passion and sentiment. The whole city is looking forward to these Celebrations of International Touristic Interest, a recognition issued in in 2005. Their respectful silence and nocturnal austerity is broken only by the colorful vestments donned by the brotherhoods making their way through the streets in the processions, while the perfect order at each of these solemn events reminds one of Cartagena's military legacy. Cartagena's Junta de Cofradías (Board of Brotherhoods) is made up of four penitential groups: Marrajos, Californios, Rusucitado, and Socorro, with the first two conducting processions over several days. The first processions on record are those of the Marraja Brotherhood, which marched for the first time in the year 1663. Cartagena's identity is enriched by the fabulous heritage elements the city possesses in the form of its images. The

el fabuloso patrimonio en imaginería que tiene la ciudad. La majestuosidad de sus tronos, la calidad y detalles de las imágenes, con la firma de Juan González Moreno, Mariano Benlliure, Francisco Salzillo, Federico CoullautValera y otros escultores hacen que en cada una de las citas el arte ocupe un espacio compartido con la fé. Son también destacables los mantos y estandartes bordados, algunos de ellos de los siglos XVIII y XIX. El colorido de los tercios de Granaderos y Soldados Romanos, la luz portentosa de sus hachotes, el orden que llevan los penitentes, la Salve Cartagenera o los balcones engalanados con los colores de las Cofradías son otros rasgos característicos de estos días. El sonido del tambor acunando a los penitentes que avanzan según el ritmo de la percusión es una imagen que difícilmente podrás olvidar. Sólo el silencio a la luz de la velas en una parada puede competir con esa estampa. El viacrucis penitencial de la Cofradía del Socorro da inicio a la Semana Santa desde las inmediaciones de la Catedral Antigua, en la que cuenta con capilla propia. De ahí realiza una estación penitencial ante la antigua patrona de la Ciudad, la

majesty of its thrones and the quality and detail of its images - by the likes of Juan González Moreno, Mariano Benlliure, Francisco Salzillo, Federico Coullaut-Valera and other sculptors - mean that art occupies a space alongside faith at each one of the festival's different events. Also noteworthy are their robes and embroidered banners, some of them dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The colorful grenadiers and Roman Soldiers, the bright light shining from their lanterns, the precise order which the penitents observe, the Salve Cartagenera (song), and the balconies festooned with the colors of the different brotherhoods are other typical sights defining these days. The sound of the drums to which the penitents march, in step with their rhythm, is something not easily forgotten. Only the silence and the light of the candles at one of their stops can match it. The penitential via crucis of the Cofradía del Socorro kicks off this Easter Week outside the Old Cathedral, where it has its own chapel. From there it makes a penitential stop before the former patron saint of the city, La Virgen del Rosell, at the Iglesia de Santa María de Gracia (Church of St. Mary of Grace), and another at the Basilica de la Virgen de la

Vivir la Semana Santa de Teruel es recorrer sus calles, acompañando a las procesiones, bajo sus monumentos Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Vivir esta celebración es envolverse en una atmósfera única, sólo posible en Semana Santa. Es dejarse llevar por el sonido de los tambores y cornetas, mezclados con el silencio, que atraen cada año un mayor número de visitantes. La Semana Santa de Teruel, declarada de Interés Turístico Nacional, es uno de los principales atractivos turísticos de la ciudad. El éxito de esta tradición se debe a la implicación de todos los turolenses, a través de la Junta de Hermandades y Cofradías de la Semana Santa de Teruel. Todas ellas se distinguen por sus peanas, tallas y hábitos. Los pasos destacan por su riqueza ornamental y son todo un espectáculo de belleza y armonía recorriendo las calles con más encanto de la capital. Destaca la Procesión del Viernes Santo, por su solemnidad,

extensión del recorrido y duración. En ella participan todas las cofradías con trece pasos y sus bandas de cornetas, tambores y bombos. También el Viernes Santo se celebra la Procesión de la Hermandad de Jesús Atado a la Columna y Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, que durante las primeras horas de la mañana se dirige hasta el centro penitenciario para solicitar el indulto de un preso, en una ceremonia cargada de tradición y simbolismo. Los actos finalizan el martes de Pascua con una jornada campestre que data de la Reconquista: el Sermón de las Tortillas. La Semana Santa de Teruel logra sobrecoger todos los corazones de quienes la contemplan. It means immersing oneself in a unique atmosphere, which is possible only during Holy Week. It means letting oneself be trans-

Teruel's Holy Week, declared of National Touristic Interest, is today one of the city's main tourism draws. The success of this tradition is thanks to the contributions of all Teruel residents, through the Teruel Holy Week's Junta de Hermandades y Cofradías, all of them distinguished by their peanas, tallas and habits. The floats stand out for their ornamental grandeur, a sight of beauty and harmony making their way through the capital's most charming streets. The Good Friday Procession is of special note for its solemnity, the length of the route, and its duration, with involvement by all the brotherhoods, with thirteen floats and their bands, featuring horns and drums. Good Friday also features the Procession of the Brotherhood of Jesus Tied to the Column and Our Lady of Hope, which

during the early hours of the morning heads to the prison to seek pardon for a prisoner, in a ceremony rich in tradition and symbolism. lanera, en el corazón de Asturias, se traslada cada año a la época medieval para rememorar uno de los acontecimientos más importantes de la historia del concejo. Todos los llanerenses se unen en una fiesta en la que se revive la fortaleza de todo un pueblo unido por defender sus derechos. Es la gran fiesta del concejo, la fiesta de los EXCONXURAOS. Los Exconxuraos rememoran unos hechos ocurridos en el municipio en 1.408 cuando todos los vecinos de Llanera fueron excomulgaos por negarse a pagar los tributos a la Iglesia. Posteriormente, para ganarse el perdón fueron caminando en procesión hasta Oviedo, ataviados con un saco, ceniza en la cabeza y una soga al cuello. La unión, hermandad y fortaleza que demostraron los llanerenses, fue el auténtico motor de la fiesta. EXCONXURAOS se ha convertido en una cita obligada del verano asturiano, la cual no sólo acoge la cena medieval más grande toda España, si no que también recrea con rigor el modo de vida y las costumbre de la Edad Media. Más de 1.400 comensales disfrutan de un menú a base de chorizos, cordero y ensalada, mientras animan a su caballero en el torneo.

Llanera, in the heart of Asturias, harks back every year to medieval times to commemorate one of the most important events in the town's history. All the locals come together for a celebration evoking the strength of a town united in the defense of its rights. This is the town's great festival: EXCONXURAOS. The Exconxuraos honor events which took place in 1408 when all the people of Llanera were excommunicated for refusing to pay tributes to the Church. Subsequently, to earn forgiveness they marched in a procession to Oviedo, clad in sacks, with ash on their foreheads, and ropes around their necks. The unity, camaraderie and strength that the townspeople exhibited is the driving force behind the celebration. EXCONXURAOS has become a must-see during the Asturian summer, not only featuring Spain's largest medieval dinner, but also authentically re-enacting life and customs during the Middle Ages. More than 1,400 people sit down at to enjoy a meal featuring chorizo sausage, lamb and salad as they cheer on their knights in the tournament.

On 12 March Clínicas Ceta opened its new facility in the center of Madrid, on the Calle Lagasca, 95: “Clínica Ceta Capital”. 600 m2 on two floors housing four different medical units: Aesthetic and Laser Dermatology; Vascular Surgery; Trichology and Capillary Transplants; and Aesthetic and Reparative Surgery. Architect Miguel Angel Rodriguez employed the most original materials on the building, creating a combination of textures that make it one of the city's most attractive locales, harmoniously combining functionality with an elegant and innovative architectural design.
