Tal y como devoramos los días resulta extraño poder marcar un final de ciclo, y la apertura de uno nuevo. Pero siempre es especial arrancar las primeras palabras de Taxi Magazine, y un punto más cuando es el primer número del año.

We live at such a dizzying pace that it’s strange for us to actually be able to mark the end of a cycle and the start of a new one. It is always special to lay down first words of Taxi Magazine here, and even better for the year's first issue.

Como siempre, coincide con la celebración de FITUR y nuestras páginas se transforman en un recorrido por distintos destinos turísticos. Un catálogo de opciones que hacen estéril la disyuntiva de playa o montaña: Cartagena, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Castelldefels, Zarautz, Alzira, Teruel, Guadarrama, Calpe, Xàbia, Rincón de la Victoria, Callosa d'en Sarrià, Pilar de la Horadada, Santa Pola, Carboneras, Alcalá la Real son algunos de las opciones en la que invertir nuestro próximo tiempo de ocio.

Los Guerreros de Xi'an volvieron a Madrid con más de 90 guerreros y elementos interactivos de modo que se incita al visitante a realizar un impresionante viaje a través del tiempo y un documental cinematográfico con la intrigante historia del descubrimiento del Ejército de Terracota por unos granjeros chinos en marzo de 1974 y que desde el año 1987 están considerados como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco. Además, se presentan más de 70 fantásticas reproducciones procedentes de los hallazgos del mausoleo de Qin Shi Huang, de las cuales ocho son impresionantes reconstrucciones de figuras humanas de excelente calidad. The Warriors of Xi'an return to Madrid with more than 90 sculptures and interactive elements beckoning visitors to enjoy an impressive voyage across time, along with a documentary film featuring the fascinating story of the discovery of the Terracotta Army (declared World Heritage by Unesco in 1987) by Chinese farmers in March of 1974. Over 70 fantastic reproductions from the excavation of the Qin Shi Huang mausoleum are also presented, of which eight are high-quality, impressive reconstructions of human figures. Estrenada en 2010 y heredera del trabajo de la compañía alemana Familie Flöz, Kulunka Teatro ha recorrido 20 países con esta obra que habla, con humor, poesía y ternura, fundamentalmente del amor. Released in 2010, inheriting the work by the German company Familie Flöz, Kulunka Teatro has toured 20 countries with this play that speaks - with humor, poetry and tenderness primarily of love.

ANDRÉ Y DORINE Toda obra de arte tiene una fuente primigenia de inspiración. En el caso de André y Dorine está en la historia de André Gorz y su mujer Dorine. Gorz fue un filósofo nacido en Viena en 1923 que se suicidó junto a su mujer en 2007. Ella tenía una enfermedad degenerativa y el último libro de Gorz estaba consagrado a ella, su gran amor. En él escribió: “Si tuviésemos una segunda vida, nos gustaría vivirla juntos”. Garbiñe Insausti y José Dault, creadores de la compañía Kulunka, rescataron la esencia de esta historia para crear su primer espectáculo, al que dejaron en el título los nombres de aquellos dos personajes como homenaje al origen del proyecto.

Every work of art has a primordial source of inspiration. In the case of André and Dorine this is the story of André Gorz and his wife, Dorine. Gorz was a philosopher born in Vienna in 1923 who committed suicide along with his wife in 2007. She had a degenerative disease and Görz's last book was dedicated to her, her great love. In it he wrote: "If we had a second life, we'd like to live it together". Garbiñe Insausti and José Dault, creators of the Kulunka company, drew upon the essence of this story to create their first show, leaving in the title the names of those two characters as a tribute to the origin of the project.

El escritor y la violonchelista con Alzheimer Pero al margen del título y esa esencia, lo que cuenta André y Dorine tiene poco más que ver con Gorz y su esposa. Los de la obra conforman una singular pareja de ancianos, él escritor, ella violonchelista, que hasta que se le diagnostica a ella el Alzheimer, viven en la monotonía. La enfermedad devoradora de recuerdos e identidad da un impulso nuevo a la relación de André y Dorine, redescubren la pasión y el deseo al tiempo que ella se va borrando. Él decide escribir sobre lo que nunca escribió: su mujer, recordar lo que han sido para no olvidar quiénes son. No es una obra sobre el Alzheimer, sino sobre el amor en la vejez.

The writer and the cellist with Alzheimer's But apart from the title and that essence, André and Dorine has little to do with Gorz and his wife. The work's characters are a singular elderly couple, he a writer, she a cellist, who, until she is diagnosed with Alzheimer's, lead lives of monotony. The memory-devouring disease gives a new boost to the relationship between Andre and Dorine, who rediscover passion and desire while she gradually fades away. He decides to write about what he never did: his wife, to remember what they have been so as not to forget who they are. It is not a work about Alzheimer's, but about love in old age.

Las Máscaras El objetivo de Kulunka Teatro al montar esta obra era crear un espectáculo sin fronteras a través de un lenguaje que trascendiera la palabra, tan generador de emociones como divertido. Garbiñe Insausti había visto a la Familie Flöz en varias ocasiones e incluso había estado en un taller con ellos en Berlín. Fascinada por las máscaras que ha utilizado siempre la compañía alemana, de grandes rasgos, expresivas y llenas de vida, adoptaron su misma poética para, ayudados de una potente dramaturgia de objetos (fundamental cuando las palabras brillan por su ausencia), concebir este magnético y emotivo trabajo.

The Masks Kulunka Teatro's goal with this work was to create a show that would transcend borders through a language that goes beyond words. A work that is both moving and fun. Garbiñe Insausti had seen the Familie Flöz on several occasions and even attended a workshop with them in Berlin. Fascinated by the masks that the German company has always used, featuring large and expressive features that are full of life, they adopted the same poetic approach in order to, assisted by a powerful dramaturgy of objects (essential when words are conspicuously absent), create this magnetic and emotional work.

EL CRÉDITO *duelo interpretativo en clave de comedia Las tablas del Maravillas acogen una comedia que habla de todos aquellos que trabajan en un banco y tienen que negar un crédito. Antes, los clientes volvían a su casa, cabizbajos. Hoy ya no se puede confiar en que te dejarán en paz. Protagonizada por Carlos Hipólito y Luis Merlo y dirigida por Gerardo Vera, esta obra aborda la figura del director de una sucursal bancaria y plantea, de modo cómico, hasta dónde pueden llegar todos aquellos a los que les ha de rechazar los préstamos. Aunque antes el conformismo estaba a la orden del día, la situación ha cambiado mucho y quizás una negativa podría desembocar en catástrofe. Y es que cuando en una profesión está presente el contacto con el público siempre puede haber sorpresas y los problemas pueden aparecer en cualquier momento. La última apuesta del guionista Jordi Galcerán ha ganado el Primer Torneo de Dramaturgia Catalana y posteriormente, el de Cataluña vs Argentina. El autor cuenta de nuevo con Hipólito, con quien ya coincidió en El Método Grönholm. El actor, que cuenta con tres premios Max y seis premios de la Unión de Actores, comparte escenario con otro intérprete de lujo Luis Merlo, en una comedia de máxima actualidad.

El Teatro Maravillas presents a comedy about those who work in a bank and have to turn down a loan request; the customers used to return home, heads drooping, but today you can´t assume they'll take “no” for an answer and leave you alone. Starring Carlos Hipolito and Luis Merlo and directed by Gerardo Vera, this work portrays the manager of a bank branch and presents, in a comedic way, how far all those who he has had to deny loans can go. Whereas resignation used to be the order of the day, the situation has changed dramatically, and a refusal could lead to catastrophe. When a profession involves dealing with the public there can always be surprises and problems can arise at any time. The latest venture by screenwriter Jordi Galcerán scored a win in the First Catalonian Dramatic Arts Competition, and subsequently, in that of Catalonia vs Argentina. The author teams up again with Hipólito, with whom he worked on The Grönholm Method. The actor, who has been recognized with three Max Awards and six Actors Union awards, shares the stage with another accomplished star, Luis Merlo, in this very contemporary and socially relevant comedy.

Más de doscientos setenta objetos integran esta colección, en la que destacan de forma cronológica los monoplazas de Fórmula 1, fórmulas de promoción y buena parte de los karts que han acompañado al piloto asturiano en su carrera deportiva incluyendo uno de sus últimos Ferrari. La muestra se completa con otros objetos como cascos, monos y botas. Fernando Alonso se subió a su primer monoplaza con tan sólo tres años para pilotar un kart construido por su padre y enfundado en un mono cosido por su madre. Tan sólo doce años después saltó al mundo de la F1 y al poco tiempo se coronó como una joven promesa del motor. Se convirtió en el primer español ganador de un Gran Premio, en el piloto con más puntos de la historia y en doble Campeón del Mundo de Fórmula 1 consiguiendo gran admiración internacional dentro y fuera del circuito. Ha competido para las escuderías Minardi, Renault, McLaren y Ferrari, y es el tercer piloto con más podios en la historia de la F1. Canal de Isabel II and the Fernando Alonso Foundation team up to present the Fernando Alonso Collection, the most ambitious exhibition ever presented on a Formula 1 driver. More than 270 objects comprise this collection, featuring, in chronological order, the Formula 1 cars, promotional activities, and many of the karts and cars driven by the Asturian driver over the course of his career, including one of his latest Ferraris. The exhibition is rounded out by other items such as helmets, race suits and boots. Fernando Alonso got into his first single-seater when he was just three years old: a kart built by his father, dressed in a suit sewn by his mother. Just 12 years later he made a splash in the F1 world, and was soon crowned as one of the sport's rising stars. He became the first Spanish winner of a Grand Prix, the driver with the most points in history, and a two-time Formula 1 World Champion, achieving great international admiration both on and off of the circuit. He has competed on the Minardi, Renault, McLaren and Ferrari racing teams, and is third on the all-time list of F1 podiums. A stellar resume, forged by effort and a desire to excel. This private collection is complemented by audiovisual features, interactive spaces, and parallel activities providing a broader perspective of what Formula 1 is all about, and which, above all, allow attendees to get to know all about Fernando Alonso.

Los seis ámbitos se agrupan a su vez en tres grandes áreas expositivas. La primera está formada por la línea de tiempo que dibujan los monoplazas, la zona “Km 0” y la gran mesa multimedia. La segunda la integran dos emocionantes audiovisuales que flanquean la sala. Y la tercera cierra el espacio expositivo con diversos módulos experienciales y una serie de instalaciones participativas. El recorrido finaliza con un mosaico de gran formato integrado por centenares de fotografías enviadas por aficionados del piloto. Como complemento a Fernando Alonso Collection, el Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal pone a disposición de los usuarios cuatro talleres didácticos para que el público infantil y escolar entre los tres y los doce años puedan realizar actividades gratuitas en la sala. Tienen una duración aproximada de veinte minutos y están programadas para los fines de semana, viernes por la tarde, festivos y vísperas de festivos, además de periodos vacacionales de Semana Santa. La aparición de Fernando Alonso en los circuitos supuso un auge sin precedentes del interés por la F1 a escala nacional que no ha dejado de crecer desde que el piloto asturiano recogió sus primeros títulos. The exhibition is divided into six thematic areas: Km 0, The Collection, Alo Circuit, Start Your Engines!, F1 Experiences and "275,000 km of Excitement, which immerse visitors in a unique and amazing experience. These six areas are grouped, in turn, into three main exhibition areas. The first consists of a single seaters' timeline, the Km 0 Area, and a large multimedia table. The second features two exciting audiovisuals flanking the room. And the third completes the exhibition space with diverse experiential modules and a series of participatory installations. The tour ends with a mosaic of blow-ups of shots sent by the driver's fans. As a complement to Fernando Alonso Collection, the Canal Exhibition Center offers users four educational workshops so that children and students ages 3-12 may enjoy free activities in the room. These last approximately 20 minutes and are scheduled for weekends, Friday afternoons, public holidays and the afternoons/evenings preceding them, in addition to the Easter Week holidays. The emergence of Fernando Alonso on the circuits brought with it an unprecedented surge in interest in F1 at the national level, which has continued to rise ever since the Asturian driver won his first titles. Now fans have the opportunity to experience up close the story that has made him a major figure in the history of auto racing.

Como cada año, Cartagena se viste de gala para presentar en FITUR su oferta cultural en este 2014. Cartagena Ciudad de Tesoros, así es como invita el Ayuntamiento a que cada turista descubra el suyo en la feria más destacada del sector turismo. Cartagena simboliza uno de los principales destinos culturales de nuestro país y plasma su historia en distintos lugares de la ciudad. Las diferentes civilizaciones han marcado los vestigios culturales de Cartagena con una huella que hoy se alza con fuerza. Iberos, fenicios, cartagineses y romanos han aportado su cultura y han marcado los lugares que los turistas pueden contemplar hoy. Una buena muestra de esta historia milenaria, es que en Cartagena se encuentra el único vestigio púnico de la península Ibérica: la muralla Púnica. Y en sus calles se alzan algunos de los edificios romanos más significativos del país. El Teatro Romano, el Barrio del Foro Romano - Premio Nacional de Restauración y Conservación de Bienes Culturales 2012 -, la Casa de la Fortuna o el Decumano son algunos de los restos arqueológicos más venerados por los amantes de esta cultura milenaria. Todos ellos, unidos a otras muchas actuaciones como el Castillo de la Concepción, o los refugios de la Guerra Civil, se enmarcan dentro del consorcio Cartagena Puerto de Culturas. Cartagena, city of treasures, is how the City defines itself, and this is how it is presented at the tourism sector’s leading fair. Cartagena represents one of our country’s leading cultural destinations, its history captured at a series of locations around the city. The different civilizations have left theirs cultural vestiges on Cartagena with a legacy in their wake which brightly shines forth today. Iberians, phoenicians, carthaginians and romans all brought their cultures, shaping the places that modern tourists can see. A good illustration of this ancient history is that Cartagena boasts the Iberian Peninsula’s only Punic remnant: the Punic Wall. And on its streets stand some of the most significant Roman buildings in the entire country. The Roman Theater, the District of the Roman Forum (which received a National Cultural Heritage Restoration and Conservation Prize in 2012), the Casa de la Fortuna (Roman-era dwelling) and the Decumano (road) are just some of archaeological ruins venerated by lovers of this ancient culture. All of them, together with many other sites, such as the Castillo de la Concepción, or refuges dating from the Civil War, form part of the Cartagena Port of Cultures Consortium. Above all it is a city looking towards the future, a town whose tourist-oriented efforts and attractions just keep on coming. Cartagena is a modern city that has managed to adapt its historical sites to the times, gracefully refurbishing them for all interested tourists to enjoy. From the seaside can be seen of the most attractive routes of the city, on board of its Toursit Catamaran. But every journey must include a pause to refresh, and its culinary offerings are capable of satisfying even the most varied tastes. In addition to its seafood delights it offers a lineup of cultural events running year-round: its Holy Week, declared of International Touristic Interest; Carnival, La Mar de Músicas World Music Festival, the Romans & Carthaginians Festival and its Jazz Festival make the city a real meeting point. Nor can we overlook permanent attractions like the new ARQUA National Underwater Archeology Museum, which will soon showcase a real treasure: the frigate Mercedes. There is also the Peral Submarine (recently recognized with a restoration award) in the new Isaac Peral Room at the Naval Museum, two more reflections of the importance of history and the sea in this city, a genuine cradle of civilizations.

Alcalá la Real, en la Sierra Sur de Jaén, es un destino único para conocer Andalucía a través de diferentes rutas culturales: Itinerario Cultural Europeo de la Ruta del Califato, Castillos y Batallas, Caminos de Pasión y Tu Historia, Tierras de Romance y Leyendas y Camino Mozárabe de Santiago. Tierra de frontera, Alcalá, se caracteriza por aunar tradición y vanguardia. La imponente Fortaleza de la Mota sobresale dentro de la estructura urbana de origen árabe. Durante más de 150 años, este castillo marcó la frontera entre los reinos de Granada y Castilla. Esta fortaleza tenía uno de los perímetros amurallados más extensos de al-Andalus. Castelldefels es una ciudad mediterránea situada 18 kilómetros al sur de Barcelona. La ciudad disfruta de una ubicación privilegiada, a pocos kilómetros del puerto y del aeropuerto internacional. Sobre las calles de esta ciudad se fraguó una de las mejores historias de amor de nuestro pasado. Isabel de Segura y Diego de Marcilla, los Amantes de Teruel, que murieron en el siglo XIII en trágicas circunstancias. Desde entonces, Teruel posee un imán especial para las parejas. Narra la historia, como, enamorados desde muy jóvenes, él parte a la guerra para hacer fortuna con la promesa de Isabel de cinco años de espera. Con el plazo cumplido y la noticia de la muerte en la batalla, Isabel se casa. Pero Diego no había muerto, regresa con las campanas de boda en busca de su amada, que le niega el beso. Él mue-

re de amor, y al día siguiente, en su entierro, Isabel le da el beso que le negó en vida y cae muerta sobre el cuerpo de su amado. Desde entonces sus restos reposan juntos en el Mausoleo de los Amantes, lugar muy visitado en la ciudad, incluso escenario de muchas pedidas de mano. was born. Isabel de Segura and Diego de Marcilla, the "Lovers of Teruel," died in the 13th century under tragic circumstances. Ever since Teruel has been special, drawing lovers to it. The story goes that young Diego left to become a soldier and make his fortune, promising to return to Isabel five years later. After this time had elapsed and Isabel had received news of his death in battle, she married. But Diego had not died and returned, with wedding bells ringing, in search of his beloved, who denied him a kiss. He died of a broken heart. The next day at his funeral Isabel gave him the kiss she denied him while he was still alive before dropping dead on her beloved's body. Ever since their remains lie together in the Mausoleum of the Lovers, a city site drawing throngs of visitors,

many of whom even get engaged there. Teruel, with its Mudéjar towers declared World Heritage Sites and Modernist buildings dotting its historic center, along with its rich and varied local cuisine, is sure to offer visitors an unforgettable stay.

Les Fonts de l´Algar, situadas a tan sólo quince kilómetros de Benidorm y a tres del centro urbano de Callosa d´en Sarrià, constituyen un paraje natural con un elevado grado de conservación de la riqueza ecológica y dotado, a la vez, de servicios turísticos. a gallega localidad de Ribadavia recupera cada año, en el mes de agosto, su Festa da Istoria. Esta celebración intenta recordar, año tras año, la historia de la villa y sus alrededores, lo que hace a todos los pobladores y visitantes rememorar las tradiciones y vivencias de épocas pasadas en una recreación medieval, donde se encuentran representadas las distintas culturas, religiones, profesiones y clases sociales de la época. Así, el objetivo de la fiesta es recuperar las costumbres que han hecho de Ribadavia lo que hoy es. En este ámbito la fiesta permite conocer oficios que hoy en día están en decadencia o ya se olvidaron, tales como herreros, carpinteros de armar, toneleros, zoqueros, canteros, cesteros, y un largo etcétera. La celebración, que lleva al visitante a la época medieval, está regada por el vino del Ribeiro, un caldo que ya fue cantado por el Rey Alfonso X el Sabio y reconocido por los pueblos europeos.

Every August the Galician locality of Ribadavia holds its "Festa da Istoria," a celebration to mark, year after year, the history of the town and its environs, as residents and visitors evoke the traditions and experiences of past eras through medieval reenactments featuring different cultures, religions, professions and social classes. Thus, the aim of the Festival is to recognize the customs that made Ribadavia what it is today. The celebration allows participants to learn about traditional trades which today are on the wane or all but forgotten: blacksmiths, carpenters, coopers, quarrymen, basket makers, and many more. The event, which sweeps visitors back to medieval times, benefits from the serving of Ribeiro wine, a variety long ago praised by King Alfonso X the Wise and recognized throughout Europe.

El tiempo contado por mario de las heras

El edificio es gris. Es de cemento gris y entre pilares y frontones y vigas hay cristaleras oscuras que reflejan el mundo oscuro y deforme. El sol está alto, de verano seco y mediodía. En los dominios y en los alrededores del edificio gris la gente camina, entra y sale con gesto solemne. También hay gestos apocados, apenados, duros y desfigurados. Y gestos anodinos y hasta risueños, los menos, desafiantes, impropios o propios. El lugar está vivo, hirviente en la canícula a pesar de los difuntos. Hay hombres con chaqueta y hombres sin chaqueta. Hay mujeres que mueven con mecánica su abanico. Llevan gafas de sol como pantallas y perlas diminutas de sudor sobre la frente. La sala bulle en la penumbra traslúcida. El aire artificial persigue, sin éxito, maquillar hasta las almas. Hay duelo. Hay un cadáver en exposición por detrás de un cristal tan grueso como la muerte. El cuerpo es el de una mujer que fue bella de ojos azules. Y esposa y madre y abuela y casi centenaria. Hay lágrimas y conversaciones, y encuentros y saludos y abrazos y besos. Hay dos mujeres sentadas en un sofá que es como un palco. Están muy rectas una al lado de la otra con las piernas juntas y las manos juntas sobre los muslos. Una es joven y la otra es mayor. La joven es morena y de pelo negro. La mayor es rubicunda y de pelo claro. Parecen dos piedades en medio del bullicio. Doloridas y sufrientes. La sala se renueva. Entran y salen. Se reúnen y se separan. Pero ellas siguen ajenas e incólumes en su presencia y en su ademán. La viva imagen de la cercanía que, sea como sea, crea vínculos indisolubles como puentes de acero, tan sólidos como frágiles ciertas compasiones. Indisimulados histrionismos o ínsitas aflicciones soltadas de rienda en la ocasión, entre pesares sobrios y sinceros. Son hombres y mujeres que, como sus gestos, se muestran solemnes y apocados y apenados y duros y desfigurados.
