EXTRAS DIN TEMA CADRU Se oferă spre studiu zona preponderent rezidenţială, cu regim jos de înălţime, aflată în periferia de NV a Bucureştiului, în cartierul Bucureştii Noi. În urma parcurgerii şi înţelegerii zonei, în funcţie de strategia didactică a atelierelor, fiecare student sau atelier va alege un amplasament precis pentru proiectul de locuire individuală. Spaţiile vor fi adaptate categoriilor de utilizări proprii locuinţei: locul de odihnă, de studiu/lucru, de relaxare, de discuţii în familie şi cu oaspeţii, de masă şi de preparare a hranei. Se va studia valorificarea şi utilizarea nuanţată a curţii, relaţia dintre aceasta şi spaţiul interior şi deschiderea către vecinătatea existentă. Fiecare student îşi va construi un scenariu de locuire propriu pornind de la interpretarea contextului şi a vecinătăţii, de la înţelegerea dinamicii locului, precum şi de la ocuparea şi folosirea argumentată a terenului. Sistemul constructiv şi materialitatea construcţiei vor fi stabilite în concordanţă cu acest scenariu. Totodată demersul va avea la bază o explorare personală a tematicii locuirii. Lect.dr.arh. EXCERPT FROM THE FRAMEWORK TOPIC It is proposed for study the residential area with mostly low rise character, located in the northwestern outskirts of Bucharest, in Bucureştii Noi. Upon reading and understanding the area, according to the teaching strategy of the design studios, each student or studio will choose a site specifically for the individual housing project. Spaces will be tailored to the own uses of a home: the place of rest, study / work, relaxation, discussion, family and guests, meal and food preparation. It will be explored the valorisation and nuanced use of the courtyard, the relationship between it and the interior space and openness to the existing neighborhood. Each student will build its own housing scenario based on neighborhood context and interpretation, understanding the dynamics of the place and from the justified occupation and use of land. The building system and construction materiality will be established in accordance with this scenario. At the same time, the approach will be based on a personal exploration of the theme of housing. ABORDARE ÎN ATELIER A fost o încercare de a întoarce pe faţă şi pe dos un singur loc din Bucureştii Noi aşa cum este astăzi, un singur teren de colţ suficient de mare pentru a permite diverse ocupări, cu deschideri diferite pe patru laturi ce stabilesc raporturi nuanţate cu vecinătăţile, în ipostaze posibile de dezvoltare viitoare. Studenţii s-au apropiat de acest loc fiecare cu gândurile, sensibilitatea şi scenariul lor de organizare a locuirii pentru propria familie imaginată. Rostul îndrumării a fost de a extrage din ele lucrurile plauzibile, potenţial valoroase şi de a le aşeza în câte un concept simplu şi puternic, regăsit în tot atâtea soluţii păstrate suficient de brute pentru a nu-şi pierde claritatea. În cadrul grupei a existat o infinită nuanţare a răspunsului la aceeaşi problemă, ceea ce arată că valoarea studiului poate consta în varietatea căutărilor şi frumuseţea sa mai curând în diferenţele neaşteptate decât în asemănările predictibile. DESIGN STUDIO APPROACH That was an attempt to turn upside down a single place in Bucureştii Noi as it is today, a plot at the corner, big enough to allow different occupation, with different openings on four sides that establish nuanced relationships with the neighboring, taking in account possible future developments. Students approached this place, everyone with one’s thoughts, sensitivity and scenario of organizing living for one’s imagined family. The purpose of mentoring was to extract from them the plausible things, potentially valuable and put them into one simple and powerful concept, found in as many solutions as students, kept sufficiently rough to not lose clarity. In the studio there was an infinite gradation of response to the same problem, which shows that the study value may lie in variety and its beauty may soon result in unexpected differences rather than in predictable similarities. Sesizând contrastul conflictual dezvoltat în timp în zonă, autorul proiectului prezentat aici a recompus în felul său propriu, din câteva elemente de bază, locuinţa tradiţională izolată: „De aici am plecat spre un volum arhetipal, care exprimă funcţia de locuire, cât mai plin pe zona parterului. În încercarea de a rezolva o locuire pe verticală am gândit locuinţa ca pe un volum care este perceput din afară ca parter şi acoperiş. Intrând în locuinţă, un musafir descoperă că în acoperiş stă întreaga viaţă a casei, un furnicar ce ascunde dormitoarele şi zona de creativitate-atelierul. Întregul acoperiş se învârte în jurul sobei, vatra, ce capătă astfel pe lângă rolul simbolic, de inimă a locuinţei, a familiei, şi un rol practic, ordonator. O prispă controlată cu panouri de lemn înconjoară casa pe două laturi şi se doreşte o invitare treptată a spaţiului exterior în interior.”
Referring to the conflictual contrast developed over time in the area, the author of the project presented here recomposed in his own way, from a few basic elements, the traditional isolated home: "From here, I went to an archetypal volume expressing the dwelling function, as solid as possible at the ground floor level. In an attempt to solve a vertical dwelling, I concieved the house as a volume that is perceived from the outside as a ground floor and a roof. Entering the home, a guest finds out that the roof is the whole life of the house, a swarm that hides the bedrooms and the area of creativity - the workshop. The whole roof revolves around the stove, the hearth, which thus acquires beside the symbolic role of the heart of home and family, a practical, ordinator role. A porch controlled by wood paneling surrounds the house on two sides and intends to gradually invite the outer space tothe inside.”

O casă binucleară care se deschide controlat către grădina exterioară şi către vecinătăţi şi complet către curtea interioară. Spaţiile locuinţei - de la garaj la camera de zi înaltă pentru expunerea colecţiei de artă - se succed şi conlucrează la niveluri diferite.
A binuclear house that carefully opens to the outside garden and neighbors, and totally to the inner courtyard. The dwelling spaces - from the garage to the high living room for exhibiting the art collection - succeed and work together at different levels.

Locuinţa unui scriitor, a cărui cameră de lucru se închide într-un volum extras din corpul unitar al casei şi se deplasează într-o poziţie izolată şi liniştită, lăsând în loc golul curţii interioare. Spaţiile locuinţei sunt inversate, zona intimă fiind coborâtă şi legată de exterior prin curţi protejate, în timp ce zona de zi pluteşte uşor peste pământ, mai închisă spre exterior şi puternic orientată spre interior.
The home of a writer, whose work chamber closes in a volume drawn from the unitary body of the house and moves in an isolated and quiet position, leaving behind the inner courtyard gap. The dwelling spaces are reversed, the intimate area being lowered and bounded to the outside by sheltered courtyards, while the daytime area floats slightly over the ground, more closed to the outside, and strongly opened inward.

De la gardul dinspre stradă până în cel mai ascuns loc din casă, spaţiul curge continuu pe drumul de la public la intim, de la deschis la închis, de la vizibil la protejat, de la transparent la opac. Alcătuirea locuinţei porneşte de la sera - spaţiu intermediar de acces semi-public - în care se cultivă şi se vând legume şi flori, trece prin terasa grădină, zona de zi fluentă, urcă spre zona copiilor şi se închide cu zona părinţilor, într-o gradare spaţială şi volumetrică.
From the street fence to the most hidden place in the house, the space is constantly flowing from public to intimate, from open to closed, from visible to protected, from transparent to opaque. The house conception starts from the greenhouse - semi-public intermediate access space - where vegetables and flowers are grown and sold, passes through the garden terrace, the fluent day area, climbs to the children's area and closes with the parents' one, through a spatial and volumetric grading.

Casa pentru pictat şi casa de locuit, legate prin circulatia verticală transparentă, se exprimă cu importanţă egală. Prima se dezvoltă pe verticală, cu biroul, primirea clienţilor şi atelierul înalt; a doua cuprinde toate spaţiile necesare familiei, protejate spre exterior de un riflaj volumetric.
The house for painting and the house for living, linked by transparent vertical circulation, are expressed with equal importance. The first one develops vertically, with the office, customer acceptance and high-spaced studio; the second includes all the spaces necessary for the family, protected from the outside by a perforated volumetric closure.
