The Lean Startup is a seminal book that introduces the scientific method to innovation and focuses on mitigating the no business need risk. Furthermore, many of the concepts refer to software-based businesses rather than hardware businesses that may need a large capital investment. While incumbents may use historical data to predict market trends, consumer behaviour, distribution channels, product growth, and resource allocation in the future, startups are operating in the unknown.

The Lean Startup is not difficult to read or comprehend. It's also available in a nine-hour audiobook format. It's broken down into three parts. You'll find a wealth of practical, timely advice inside, ranging from 'Fundamental Techniques in Handling People' to 'How to Win People to Your Way of Thinking.' If you need more evidence, Warren Buffett enrolled in Carnegie's course when he was 20 and still has the certificate in his office 67 years and billions of dollars later.

MARKETING MANAGEMENT BY PHILIP KOTLER and KEVIN LANE KELLER
